Best two albums in my opinion are Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets. Each album also features a pretty epic instrumental only track. Call of Kthulu from Ride the Lightning and Orion from Master of Puppets.... with Orion being one of my favorite Metallica tracks.
Jason Hell yeah. You cannot understand the innovative force of nature that was Cliff Burton until you experience those two songs. ‘Orion’ is a masterpiece, and ‘The Call of Ktulu’ features Cliff playing a bass with a freaking Wah pedal.
I think AJFA is a solid album, but I think the mix is odd compared to RTL and MOP... The drum sound is off, with that weird tin can sounding snare that never appeared in another Metallica album, there is no bottom under the guitars... Newsted was mixed entirely out of the final album... it just doesn't hit as hard as it should have. That's not to say it's bad, there are plenty of standout tracks... but I always viewed it as less then it could have been.
Jason I agree with you mix is very bad (not as bad as Death Magnetic ) . In terms of mix , I think Black Album is the best ( loud bass , gunshot snare drum , awesome vocals ) . But what I tought is that lyrics and guitars are brutal + that vocal on ajfa is probably his best ( master of puppets voice getting more heavier)
Great to see someone do the lesser known Metallica songs. Love your reactions, very funny and you don't pause every 5 seconds, keep up the solid work bro.
Ride the Lightning is where it’s at, yo. I remember when my brother gave me this album a week before Christmas. I was listening to it non stop on my walkman. When to see the neighborhood Christmas lights with my family, and had this blaring in my ears the whole time.
I love how you smile at the instruments man like not in a weird way at all I swear but like when the solo kicks in man. I'm glad you have MetallicA in your life man its a good thing to listen to
YES!! I came here just to suggest this song actually. My favorite Metallica song of all time. Pure thrash, brutal and relatable lyrics (for me at least). I really hope he reacts to this song.
Some Popular Thrash songs to check out (similar in ways to Metallica) : Annihilator - Alison Hell Overkill - Elimination Testament - Over The Wall Slayer - Postmortem/Raining Blood Havok - Point of no Return Sacred Reich - The American Way Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction All of these are music videos please do at least one
Take a listen to The Unforgiven trilogy of songs and enjoy the progression of the story/journey being told and the bands mastery in full. James Hetfield has stated before these songs are very auto-biographical. The Unforgiven trilogy is like his life. These three songs are him in his own words, very personal, real and honest. In my opinion James Hetfield is one of the greatest songwriters and musicians ever produced.
You're officially my favorite UA-camr! I love how diverse you are because so am I. My favorite Metallica song is Turn The Page. Plus I also love all your NF reactions too. Keep doing what you're doing! I subscribed a few days ago!
Man, I just spent the last couple hours of my life watching your reaction videos, and I loved every minute of it! I watched you become a Metallica fan, and that was awesome!! I dig you and your videos, so I'm subbin' 😎🤘
3900 views and only 308 like? Wtf is wrong with you people 🤣. Good video man, glad you liked it. For whom the bell tolls is good and quick and creeping death is amazing off this album as well
Omg dude! ....and justice for all is the best album ever. I have listened to it for 25 years and never gets old. Fade to black was my favorite song growin up, until justice came out. One, and justice for all, dyers eve, frayed ends of sanity all great songs
Hey there man! Glad you liked this one, now if you want a live performance look for the S&M concert, it puts quite a nice twist to what you'd expect and the overall result is simply incredible.
I know what you mean about this record... Its the art, the voice, the subject matter, the riffs, the leads... Everything is on point and its got a very haunting, ethereal vibe from start to finish. Great vid man thank you!
Kill em all is my fave because it’s simple but still vary creative and from a guitar plays perspective it’s the only Metallica album that you can easily achieve the distortion without any fancy or expensive amps or peddles and most of the leads are pentatonic scales so Still fast but easier to play and there so young it’s pure passion and energy and unpolished it’s a great first album if your not familiar with that album start with seek and destroy and expand from there
Just think this came out way back in the 1980s. I was a teen and went to this tour. Loud Aggressive in you face Rock-Metal. Glad you like it. Welcome to the Metallica family!
Yes, this is an excellent album. As you know, Ride the Lightning and Fade to Black are great. Check out For Whom the Bell Tolls and Creeping Death. They are great, too. Escape and Fight Fire with Fire are also pretty good.
namttip2 You do realize that you just recommended four songs from an eight-song album, right? He might as well just react to the whole thing. ...Actually, that sounds like a great idea.
LOL, Yeah, KTF seems pumped up on "Ride the Lightning" and "Fade to Black", so I was suggesting the other favorites on that album. I'd like to see it. Particularly Bell Tolls and Creeping Death.
Just like Metallica, you're reaction videos have drawn me in... This is a great album. Used to know how to play them when I was a teen. Loving the vids. Keep them up.
metallica has (in my opinion) 3 albums that i believe everyone should listen to at some point in their lives. Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and ...And Justice For All. depending on your personality that order will differ. all good in their own way. then they stopped drinking and doing drugs lol. newest album wasnt as bad as st. anger.
Alice in chains- rooster, man in the box, and nutshell. Disturbed- stupify, down with the sickness Motley crue- shout at the devil, wild side, and girls girls girls Give them a try a boss! You're doing a great job!
Despite how much hate this album has gotten and it's not really their most fastest, but I really enjoyed "Metallica" (aka The Black album) But it's hard to say because Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and ...And Justice For All! has sick songs in each
Don't Tread on Me, Of Wolf and Man, Through the Never, The Unforgiven and The God That Failed are all great songs in my book. Definitely not as good as the tracklists on their four previous albums, but The Black Album is pretty solid nonetheless.
This song paints such a badass picture of the guy being put the in the electric chair, and then he rides the lighting !! and them rifts do all the talking after that...fuck yeah man
People are going to lynch me for saying this...but my favorite album has always been The Black Album (self titled - fifth studio album). It's widely criticized by die hard Metallica fans as the moment the band became mainstream and "sell outs". But almost every track on the album is a classic from them (several songs that people have requested here come from that album). Don't get me wrong, I love Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets...but something about later Metallica (but before St. Anger) is what I always gravitated towards.
Dude I ran across your channel and love it! Huge old-school metalhead, and man watching your reactions to the songs I have loved for years is awesome...especially when I can tell you're really digging a tune like "Fade To Black" WAY before you even get to the epic part. I'm sitting here watching going "Wait for it..." haha. "Ride The Lightning" was the first Metallica tune I ever heard, and that album is incredible. You definitely need to check out "Creeping Death"....and if you want to hear a badass instrumental, then off the same album "Call of Ktulu". Keep it up brother! God bless..
I have been listening to this staf for 20 years. And you know what? It's necessary to listen loudly, very loudly, Only this way you be able to fully appreciate this music.
Do the whole album.great from start to finish.in particular fight fire with fire.love your reactions.keep up the good work.great to see another person becoming a fan of the best metal band ever.welcome to the family bro.
"Ride The Lightning" Album & "Master Of Puppets" Album Are My Fav.... Been Listening To Metallica Since I was Like 4 or 5 years old...thanks to my pops..for almost 25 years been listening to them n still my number 1 FAVORITE BAND ;)
You're new to Metallica and have an idea of their general sound and creativity. I'd be interested in your reaction to St. Anger, especially the track, Frantic.
Another GREAT vid! My favorite albums I'd have to say: Master of Puppets, Lightning, And justice for all, Kill 'em all, Black Album. Speaking of which, you'd LOVE Unforgiven!!!
You wanna headbang... its ok man... let go... head bang.... Nobody will Blame you.
Bang that head that doesn't bang.
Same here with Orion. Most under rated songs are Disposable Heroes, Trapped Under Ice, & Orion imo
But lets be honest " And justice for all" is their most brutal album :)
I think AJFA is a solid album, but I think the mix is odd compared to RTL and MOP... The drum sound is off, with that weird tin can sounding snare that never appeared in another Metallica album, there is no bottom under the guitars... Gotta do “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” now!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ryan Garcia thats their best song, and orion
One of my favorite Metallica songs.
Ryan Garcia Fuck yes
You must do Creeping Death off this album.
Metal McFly
With For Whom the Bell Tolls.
Creeping Death from Live S....: Bing & Purge
My favorite track from that album, damn good!
Creeping Death live in Seattle!!!.. unbelievable
damn, i was about to name the same song
Great to see someone do the lesser known Metallica songs. Love your reactions, very funny and you don't pause every 5 seconds, keep up the solid work bro.
David Murphy, How bout hit the lights, trapped under ice, the thing that should not be, or phantom lord? I never see anyone react to those.
Phantom Lord and The Thing That Should Not Be... my favs.
I'm not overly fond of Kill em all bar 3 or 4 songs, I personally think ride the lightening and Justice are their 2 best albums.
Tirpitz, Damage inc was always my favorite close second being dyers eve.
Ride the Lightning is where it’s at, yo. I remember when my brother gave me this album a week before Christmas. I was listening to it non stop on my walkman. When to see the neighborhood Christmas lights with my family, and had this blaring in my ears the whole time.

I will go so far as to GUARANTEE that this will be your NEW #1.

to live is to die by metallica great instrumental
I am loving your channel buddy. The sound and visual FX are killing it. This is a proper song.
Ride the Lightning, even after 30+ years, is still my personal favorite Metallica album.
Live from Seattle 1989? You have to do "The Thing That Should Not Be". Next Level!
Brian A. Nichols also Master of Puppets from that same live show!
Yeah James voice was next level . Also he should check *Battery* from Seattle , fast as fuck and Lars drumming was also epic :)
Probly the best live Metallica song. Second only maybe to Harvester of Sorrow Moscow 91
I discovered your channel just today, and told myself that you should react to Ride The Lightning because of it's lyrics. Thanks great job man !
Can't stop watching your channel man. Loving your reactions.
My first and still my favorite Metallica song.
Dyers eve by Metallica
David Neides hell yeah.
There are way better songs he hasn't gotten to yet. Never been a Dyers Eve fan
YES!! I came here just to suggest this song actually. My favorite Metallica song of all time. Pure thrash, brutal and relatable lyrics (for me at least). I really hope he reacts to this song.
The lyrics to that song are an exact reality of my life. Favorite song when I was about 8 years old
with lyrics as well. a very personal song for some people
Some Popular Thrash songs to check out (similar in ways to Metallica) :

Ride the Lightning is their best album imo followed closely by Master of Puppets

Hi, from Argentina!!, i love METALLICA!!! I really like your videos!!
Dude if you wanna see a badass version of "Fade to Black" by Metallica, react to "Fade to Black" Seattle 1989 live or Moscow 1991, either one is good.

It wasn't as bad but it was bland as hell lol. St anger (to me) was just noise. Hardwired sounded like one long ass unremarkable song.
First five are essential. I hate when people leave out the Black Album.
