Do you have a simple method for changing the oil pan for this engine? It's dripping oil in my case but I don't want to take off the rack and pinion off.
My TFSI ran for at least 80000km (50kMi) with a totally failed adapter housing. The new AH goes on today with any luck. I don't know what people mean by what they say when they claim VAG products aren't reliable. Everything breaks. Toyota owners just ignore the lights.
@@speedlinegarage I see. I heard it’s a bitch to replace to rear main seal. I have p2177 still trying to track it down. Did a smoke test, no leak, thank goodness it’s not a main seal or something. Replace Pcv and clean Maf. Next is probably injectors and fuel sensor g247.
@@NhatNguyen-xs7kldid you ever figure it out? I have a similar issue and it is not rear main or pcv. Doing the rear main on this is not the worst of the worst. Hardest part IMO are refitting the motor mounts (engine has to come out).
@@geeess958 sadly no. My car got totaled by someone who ran a red light 2 weeks ago. If you have the p2177, it’s a pain to track. If you did the smoke test, clean maf or change your Pcv and it still comes back then I’d take for a diagnosis from an Audi Indy shop who knows what they are doing, that was my plan but car got totaled. How many miles is yours?

I have a leak on the back of the engine, dropping on the driveway for a year now but no engine code, no hesitation. Is it rear seal?
Could be cam cover / vacuum pump / oil pan / rear main
@@speedlinegarage thanks i will check
Do you have to drain oil for this test?
No
