Someday Ryder will look back on these times spent with you learning the skills you have shared, and he will smile fondly. Youngsters are a blank canvas waiting for someone to open their minds to new knowledge. Thank you Brent for sharing your vast skills with Ryder. Our world needs more positive mentoring like you are doing. God bless!
Brent, I thought you mentioned a figure of $2500 for the laser rust removal machine and I only see them for 10-15,000 dollars. Do you mind saying again what it cost and where you got it?
Good on you providing that guidance. A lot of this stuff is frustrating to learn on your own, so having someone able to walk you through a little while also letting you figure it out is so important.
13:09 I see you have one of the China LED work lights from amazon. If the ~1hr battery life annoys you like it did me, you can easily disassemble and replace the 18650 battery to get 6 hours of life. I salvaged a bunch of 18650's from some laptop battery packs that wouldn't take a charge (there were a dozen 18650's in the battery pack and only one was DOA, the rest were just fine).
I believe it’s in Austin! Lucky, I just priced airfare it’s like $700 for me to get there, so if you do go please have enough fun for all of us that can’t😉✌🏼
The General is one of the Most Epic builds, Ever. So glad you are taking it to Texas. Hard to believe at this time a year ago, Joy turned to tragedy & now look at you. Love that you got rid of General's Orange Blossom Specials so he can portray at his best while down South. If you make it thru Nashville, i'll cater you & Esther a Shindig. Ty for taking us along
Ok- so reality check for me. I can fabricate, I can even design if I’m feeling confident that day. But when Brent starts a wiring harness, or now, AC , I realize I’m a hack .
Please wash the General Truck those rims & tires and the rest of the truck needs cleaned really bad omg it would look so much better. Those vents turned out nice and the finder.
Fender bobo, is on the practice side, side a guy builds first and the side that gets it when backing up😂 Ryder has his work cut out, understanding your vision…
Dont do anything unless your going to shoot some epoxy back on the bare metal. I hate to be watching a video of yours next year doing it all over again. Ya ya I know you have a space gun to zap it ! lol
The capillary tube from the temp control really needs to go into the evaporator core or you will risk freezing the core on a humid day especially if you have your fan speed on low. Just a thought from an old Auto air technician. Also have you had a thought of the drainage while you now have the unit in a vertical configuration. Your condensation from the core will drop into your fans rather than the drains. Billy J'..... Queensland, Australia.
Brent is obviously not knowledgeable in auto AC. You are right on with drain issue. The drain is one of the most important considerations to an ac installation. He totally missed it. The whole reason for ac is to get the hunidity out of the cab.
For years some hotrodders used Corvair front suspensions, because they were compact and could be converted to disc brakes and rack and pinion steering, that was until the Mustang II came out with both modifications included. ;-) Hm, is that less than 1/32nd after feathering? ;-D
In 1968, I put a 1966 corvair front end under a 1931 model A. Drove great, but front end sat higher then I would have liked due to interference with the fender braces. I put over 30,000 miles on before I sold that car. Years later I built a 1928 chev roadster using a corvair front end, but this time I used dropped spindles from an S-10 and a rear steer rackand pinion.
Are you sure that using the General for the trip is smart..... noise and vibration frustration. It will take out the cabin comfort environment. You and Ester are going to have hearing issues.. as well as your back. 🦊
I usually find, but I’m no expert that the pump usually has enough oil in it from its previous system. that said I guess if I screw it up, the pumps are readily available off another donor
Heya Ryder, I hope you appreciate how cool your Pop is, and that your time together is something that brings you joy. He is clearly very proud of you. Cheers from Colorado!
Great video Brent, I'm sure Ester will be very happy with you getting the A/C working. You will probably need it when you guys go to the Lonestar Roundup..
Thanks Brent on a great video. Great work. Ryder is going to be good mechanic from just you letting him watch and working with you. Even made time. Helping on the front end of the Model A. Thanks for sharing! ❤️💯👊👍
This is a Beautiful Family of Creators Everyone Should Want to be like. Now Esther, with Her Family of Female Creators Come Together in the Kitchen and Garden Completing the Other Half of the Whole Family of Creators with Her Connected New Channel, and then a Harmonious Tone will Echo throughout Earth.
Hello Brent, don't forget to change the old Freon service port Schrader valves, they will slow leak in your climate. Ryder is a very quick learning, observant young man. He seems to make you so happy. Thanks for your video and working on the best functional truck.
Yea Ryder, learn, learn, one day u will pass the torch foward , glad the General getting some attention Ester will be on top of the world settin up an having alot of cargo space..lol.lol good cruzer id say no pullin just cruzin..😂😎✌️👍
One more time : This truck is really marvellous ! And nice job for the AC, especially the brackets for vents. I do hope you will be in fresh air next summer. 😉
Excellent video Brent :) , Ryder :) on Air Vents like them too and Air Conditioning help keep cool to and hopefully Ryder ATV be back in action too soon !
Ryder will not forget these days and evenings spent learning so much. Great job on the a/c install. Looks like you'll be cool as cucumbers down in Texas. Love the spray can rebuild. Great to see the General rolling again with the improvements. Look forward to more before the trek to Texas. Be safe and stay well.
I love that you've upgraded the General... and that you use it regularly. Very cool. You had been talking about just how much the road vibration/bounce is hard on everything the General has. Any plans to try to fix that? Give it a smoother ride somehow? I wouldn't know where to start....
Are you sure that using the General for the trip is smart..... noise and vibration frustration. It will take out the cabin comfort environment. You and Ester are going to have hearing issues.. as well as your back. 🦊
I love the International. It's probably one of my favorites. It's good to see Rider involved with your and his projects. Since I live in South Korea this kind of stuff isn't possible for me so I get to live through your projects.
Everyone trusts your abilities on pretty much everything. I live north of Dallas, Tx and our weather has been kind of cool but nice hopefully will be same when we guys get this way
The way you construct the housings for the air vents , you make it look so easy . The best part is they look like OEM parts from International . Ryder is starting to operate the CNC like a pro , it is testimony to your ability as a teacher . The General is now ready for a trip to Texas c/w air conditioning , it will tame the heat in the Lone Star State . Till next time , Stuart in Ontario ..
in my youth I was like Ryder always around watching and helping but I wasn't exposed to as much greatness as he is. that kid should thank God he has a good friend like you.
Brent you are a great teacher, but. Finish teaching. Have Ryder cut out another set of those vent panels, and the strips you welded on. Tell him to make a set, welded finished and painted. He then can compare the masters to his. That is education.
Someday Ryder will look back on these times spent with you learning the skills you have shared, and he will smile fondly. I could not have said it better Huskiedrive !!! Well said !!! God bless the youth !!!! Eddy
Yup
Yep, that kid has a bright future
Brent, I thought you mentioned a figure of $2500 for the laser rust removal machine and I only see them for 10-15,000 dollars. Do you mind saying again what it cost and where you got it?
Brent if every parent and grandparent was like you the world would be a great place. Thank you as always
You're giving Ryder a lifetime of memories and skills. Impressive.
Calling that truck an International is a huge understatement. It's more like rolling art that would look at home on a Road Warrior movie set.
Good on you providing that guidance. A lot of this stuff is frustrating to learn on your own, so having someone able to walk you through a little while also letting you figure it out is so important.
So glad the "General" wasn't lost in the fire.
The shop, has been a build-back-better success.
Build back better........🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s a pleasure to watch you working with your grandson, something he will always remember 😊
It's always good to see Ryder in there working and learning. That guy is going to have a lot of self confidence and a decent work ethic.
the General is sure one great truck, a daily work horse and an awesome cruising hotrod 👍🏼🍺🍺

Teaching that young man some good stuff. Great job
The General is so cool Brent. Great job on the AC install.
Ac install looks great, Ryder is picking up some wonderful skills, good job Brent!
Hey Brent, that air con seems like it can create a ‘general’ blizzard in the cabin. Couldn’t resist. G’day Esther.
Invaluable experience for Ryder!
Hi, Brent and Pablo, I use my (mobile phone for typing my shopping list).
the superior is hiding (Pablo)
where in Texas are you going. I'm in Austin
I believe it’s in Austin! Lucky, I just priced airfare it’s like $700 for me to get there, so if you do go please have enough fun for all of us that can’t😉✌🏼
21st Annual Lonestar Round Up
Ryder is getting on the job training which I think is the best kind! Truck is sweet! Take care.
Man I cant wait to see yall down at the lonestar round up and get to hang out with fellow youtubers, Safe travels!!!! @halfassKustoms

I like that truck.. can't say I've actually seen one of those before your videos. Keep wrenching my friend.
There were no trucks like the General before he started on making it from other truck parts. It's one of a kind.
Jeez Brent, that Dirty Harry music is getting old real fast . Can we please get back to trad HAK " blues".
Thanks in advance......
nice job on the a/c vents Brent , it came out awesome. -18 C WOW !!!🔥
Now that's a truck...I heard it can literally pull an either neighborhood of vehicles no problem and accomplish an obstacle course and still be early
What the hell..... Pablo didn't get to ride shotgun at the end; what's the world coming to?
The General - a neat truck that has come a long way from its beginning.
I love that truck. Great job building it.
Please wash the General Truck those rims & tires and the rest of the truck needs cleaned really bad omg it would look so much better. Those vents turned out nice and the finder.
Are you going to crashing paint with rattle can pint I would just to crashing it up
Fender bobo, is on the practice side, side a guy builds first and the side that gets it when backing up😂

yeah, I’m aware of that, but I didn’t have anywhere else to mount it. That said I’m OK with the condensation splattering me in the face haha
Are you putting A/C vents in the back???
Still one of the best build projects ever to be on UA-cam
So you rent the shop to your friends flat rate or hourly 😅
The Essex , will that be a stock Version or Kindly Modified ??
They Look elegant stock ... Kudos.
Thanks for sharing Brent .
no, it’ll be pretty modified versus the stock car
For years some hotrodders used Corvair front suspensions, because they were compact and could be converted to disc brakes and rack and pinion steering, that was until the Mustang II came out with both modifications included. ;-)

We’ve taken it on many road trips. It’s one of the more comfortable vehicles I own.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Brent! The old truck looks like it’s ready for the trip to Texas. That we be a fun trip for sure.
Cleaning up the. Wheels
How is the condensation drain going to work with the way you mounted the unit in the truck? Nice work as always.
yeah, I’m kind of OK with the water splattering me in the face though haha space is a premium though so this is what I just had to do
Cool stuff. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
I love the general that's the first project I seen you on very cool 😎❤
As always Brent love watching you working and mentoring Ryder. Watching him smile is great.
What a great upgrade and update on the General. I salute!
The General is looking all sharp and fancy, Just ready for the apocalypse to roll up.
Yes that is cool Peace out
Catch ya on the next one Brent. Cheers.
Fresh rattle can paint
we'll see you in Austin
I think it's great that you are showing him how to do everything he'll appreciate it someday
Brent, did you add oil in the A/C system? PAG oil is used with R134 systems. I would use whatever Chrysler used, due to using their compressor.
I usually find, but I’m no expert that the pump usually has enough oil in it from its previous system. that said I guess if I screw it up, the pumps are readily available off another donor
@@HalfassKustoms you should add 2oz for condenser 2oz for evaporator and 1oz for dryer.
I just love watching Pablo's expressions & watching in the background😅 I'd love a PabloCam.
AC'd General Lonestar bound wif Ryder's help n Pablo's approval.
IDK much, but I would check that timing chain before a long trip. Had one jump back into time once, but that's once in 65 years.
I don’t mind different videos. The truck gets boring always the same. The truck is looking good by the way.
STOP BRINGING UP THE FIRE! Jeez, he doesn't want to be reminded of that hardship every time he scrolls the comments.
The Holden Brothers Diesel Guys will love that Truck, they're International Fans.
You could Rhino line the lips of your fenders - you just roll it on - even with the same color of paint
There's no shortage of forward thinking in your shop!!
Love the creativity when you design!!!
SHOULD trop temp 30 to 40degrees lower than outside temp
I like that year of Essex. Rounded rear window. The only year I think. Other years have rectangle. Classy hotrod it will be.
He's a kid.
Of course he knows how to run the plasma computer.
Good job Ryder.
Excellent, love the General build, just a side note tho...it's a Spritz of paint not a Sprirtz!
Heya Ryder, I hope you appreciate how cool your Pop is, and that your time together is something that brings you joy. He is clearly very proud of you. Cheers from Colorado!

Hello Brent, don't forget to change the old Freon service port Schrader valves, they will slow leak in your climate. Ryder is a very quick learning, observant young man. He seems to make you so happy. Thanks for your video and working on the best functional truck.
Nice work on that fender, my OCD has been looking at those dings for several episodes hoping you would fix them 😂
It's probably warmer in the truck at negative 7, then outside 😊
Yea Ryder, learn, learn, one day u will pass the torch foward , glad the General getting some attention Ester will be on top of the world settin up an having alot of cargo space..lol.lol good cruzer id say no pullin just cruzin..😂😎✌️👍

Great truck! Keep that cb on 19. If I see ya I will shout out. Have a safe trip!
By the looks of the undercarriage , you need an undercoating all over it .With the salted roads 😊😊
Paint repairs could be a lot easier on camouflage, just saying. Looks so good . 👍
An old scrap of carpet on your work surface will help hold those freshly cut parts while you clean them up with the grinder. Love the channel!
A/c. Great. For. Comfort. ❤️ it. Trucks look. Great. Thanks
Digging it The General is Cool 😎🥶Thanks for sharing ******
Seems like Ryder. Here's your right hand boy.
