I loved seeing the life of garlic. For beginners garlic was a life saver. Then mid gamers put away garlic for sexier things. End game gamers go back to Garlic because it's great.
I found dex just as I started playing and I now pronounce every item with a German accent because that's how I thought they were meant to be said lol and now I can't stop
After playing through my first adventure Garlic Paradise... well, the extra gameplay offered is nice, but it would've been even nicer to have something worthwhile as a little bonus. Garlic is a great beginner weapon, but it falls off rather quickly in usefulness. Would've been nice if you could get a buffed Garlic as a reward for beating this Adventure or an extra evolution. An upgraded version of Poe would've been great as well that's extra good with Garlic (and he'd be far from the first character with an upgraded version). Seems like a missed opportunity.
hey Dex! new viewer here! i love your commentary how both silly and informative it is. You have helped me get over some humps in the game hahaha. I was wondering how your Empty tome reaches 80% Cooldown value. On the wiki and in my games it only reaches 40%.
He uses an arcana called silent old sanctuary which buffs your cooldown and might based on how many empty weapon slots you have. In case you dont know ill tell you this. Arcana is unlocked on the fourth stage called gallo tower and is found towards the top. You unlock silent old sanctuary by surviving 31 minutes in dairy plant after unlocking arcana.

Dex does the game take recommendations from the community for upgrades? You mentioned Blood Astronomia, which I really love, I think it needs a significant buff. It's all but useless at this point compared to SOS and Bloodline. Also, I was thinking of a possibility. At level up maybe we take extra curse or some kind of penalty if we want to choose two upgrades? Perhaps curse is a bad idea cuz that could get really broken really fast. Thoughts?
There are a ton of possibilities but I don't think they will consider micro changes because these are technically infinite. You can try it on their discord in feedback submission though

ill admit i was someone who thought you were stupid for rating BoO so highly, because its not obvious the area scaling is included in it. as soon as you explained in a previous video that it adds 1% area per level up it's very obviously its absolutely fucking broken. so im assuming that like me most people are just unaware of the bonus
How long it would take to kill the reapers? Several hours at 5 hits/s, which did around 1k damage per second. Really simple math. Divide that by 3600 and you have the hours.

It's interesting that the level gives you both garlic and pummarola, but none of the chests can evolve.
The Evolution was sealed idk if it was des or it was the level design that sealed it though.

And you need to put the wepon max in 1, in the character selection screen

better to start with blood line because its easier to kill the first waves with contact damage and get that might scaling up to the ceiling.
