The next best thing to experiencing the magic of Angelina for ourselves is to see our Barefoot Princess through the eyes of reactors such as yourself. Thank you so much for letting us share in the joy you're feeling when you listen to her. Angelina dubs all of her supporters as her "Angels." You can proudly claim that title as one of her newest Angels.

Something nobody else has told you is she was declared a National Treasure by the king of Norway when she was 8 and occasionally get called to open a meeting with a song for the Crown Prince. She had by the age of 12 raised more than $20M for children and environmental issues.

This song is so good it breaks your brain. She sang this as a demo before the writer of the song came out with his own version. So Angelina was the first to arrange this. Her version was never officially released and thankfully some blessed soul leaked it. I can't believe we came so close to never having this work of genius. ❤

I love watching you discover the world of Angelina. You have almost 200 more times to experience each song for the first time. Not just the song but the beauty, the emotion, the voice, the wonderful human that is Angelina! And all of them are waiting for you. Many of us that have been ' addicted ' to this angel since her first appearance on NGT, or shortly thereafter, have spent almost 10 years waiting for the next masterpiece to be released! I am sure most of her long time fans are just like me in that with each release we have been amazed at how she somehow managed to improve over the last one. Many of us have said that our favorite Angelina song is the last one we heard, and that our top 10 Angelina songs consist of 200 songs! I was/am a huge fan of Elvis since I was 13 in 1955, No one could ever take his place in my mind. That is till late 2013/early 2014 when I happened to see/hear Angelina's first NGT audition singing "Gloomy Sunday" after it went viral. She is only a few months into her eighth year. By the way you mentioned “Mary Had A Little Lamb”, she was asked to sing it by her mother. She refused. Also, at this stage English is her third language. Norwegian, Persian and English. At five she was reading and understanding English, while studying music theory. She had started school at four. If you want to basically start at the beginning, you should start at six with Rolling In The Deep, Hurt, Sky Fall and most notably I Who Have Nothing which is well worth reacting to.

"She broke my brain". Classic! And so true of what she does to people. Unlike others who discovered her years ago, I'm only 3 months on the Angelina train, so your reaction brings back quite fresh and wonderful memories of my own experience discovering her. Among the 117 amazing things about this wonderful human being, is her nerve-less patience when singing - whatever she thinks (well KNOWS) is the right tempo for a particular song, which thankfully is often is a bit slower than how others perform it so we feel every word ... she stays right with it. Despite the circumstances - like here, where she knows she is competing against mostly adults, is being broadcast on tv to millions (?) in her home country - she performs the song flawlessly and beautifully and without a hint of nerves, and leaves listeners awe-struck. And as others have said - this never gets old! Thank you for your wonderful reactions.

Forget about the age. She is just an ingenious artist, great personality, one simple voice of the goddess, speaking to us from our inside, by letting us vibrate with her. Now, that she is 17, she still does the same. With her more tools, she has now. A messenger of love. It is just simple. And she always knew, how good she is, therefore she always wanted to share her singing with the world. She had the luck, that her family, her Grandma Mery, Mother Sara and Uncle Michael (her manager) took her serious, also as child, protected her, changed their lives for her. She later called them her "Shield", like the title of one of her originals.

Wonderful reaction. Can't wait until you hear the other NGT performances. The arrangement she chose for this performance was a Louis Armstrong version of Summertime. I think she trained herself to learn Louis' vibrato and sing the song in his image. What you will learn about this miracle gift to the music world is that it's ALWAYS about the song, never about her. Throughout her young career she pays homage to the original artist in every cover the she enhances. As a youngster she performs always in white. As an older teen she dresses conservatively in every music video, despite her incomparable beauty, she NEVER flaunts it, like most female singers. Most are in black and white, again steering the focus to the song, the music, the artist or even if it's one of her originals, then as always she steers the listeners to the pure emotions she feels. Im 67, grew into music in the 70's and 80,s and NEVER was touched by an artist the way I am hearing this miracle child.
She is also fearless. AJ is not afraid to completely rearrange classics, like Bohemian Rhapsody, Billie Jean, Yellow Brick Road, Suspicious Minds, Its a Mans World, all before she was 16!!! The covers that Angelina sang between the ages of 6 and 13 were, for me, a continuous shock, at a certain point I thought of going to a psychologist to overcome the shock wave it had caused in my brain, scary and wonderful at the same time, I'm still amazed to see these almost unreal videos again, fortunately Angelina is a real creature who continues to amaze everyone, wonderful reaction good life and music..Massimo🤩

At the end of her first song one of the shocked judges said "You ARE music". The ability, talent, smoothness, calmness, in this child is astounding. Yes, I believe English is her third, possibly fourth language as her extended family are international in origin. AJ is Norway's National Treasure.

  •  Рік тому +3

One of AJs fantastic strengths is that she doesn't emphasize herself in the performances. Doesn't show off, doesn't belt as soon as possible. Instead, she emphasizes the song. She finds the essence of the original, with immense respect, and arranges it to her own instrument. Instead of ending a song on a strong note, she end it on maximum feeling. The instrumens, while mostly fantastic, are usual kept back. Some of her best performances are just her and a guitar. Less is more.
Indirectly, it makes the performance even better. The way you get sucked into the feeling. How she can hit your heart already in a few seconds. Almost all her performances are like that. I think I am prepared, and when it starts, I get just as emotional every time.

"She truly is remarkable." Haha! Yes! And more! What words can you use to express what Angelina does? One reactor (Gitana) said that it's like she flings a piece of her soul at you. Angelina connects on an individual basis with each listener in a way I have never experienced before. You have now heard two of my top 3 (after that, the next 50+ are all number 4). I know that before long you will check out my number 1:Angelina on AGT doing her version of Bohemian Rhapsody. It has become one of her go-to songs, but that performance touches me as no other. We KNOW how you feel! We KNOW how hard it is to express it. Go where you will. The train just keeps rolling. How exciting for you to know that there are so many more to listen to for the first time! We are "jealous" of each new listen. Your responses help us relive our own reactions. Such fun!

I envy you. You get to experience all of our Angelina moments for the first time. Like your first kiss, you never forget. I discovered AJ after reading a newspaper article with Heidy Klum talking about her before the AGT Champions showed about 2 months before. I'm 73 and used to be in a little HS band playing guitar and singing so I know a bit about talent. I watched the Spell On You video and figured there was another singer behind that green curtain. Then I saw this video, Summertime and started crying, I still do even now. Thank you for discovering Angelina and I'll be along for your journey, I Subscribed. Best wishes from Alaska.

Hey Debbie! 😃✨ Yeah... what do you say... it's ok to be speechless... It's hard to talk when your jaw is on the floor anyway. Haha 🤗 Your reactions are soooo in alignment with mine from when I first heard her years ago (been following AJ for a while now). Seriously, thank you for reacting to her. She deserves the respect, and the exposure to all of your subscribers (though I suspect many are already Angels). I love this song and have performed it many many times - never as well as this little (barely) 8 year old. She continues to floor me with everything she releases. I'm looking so forward to watching your journey with her musical magic. React to whatever you like in whatever order you like. She has 180+ covers and originals just here on YT alone. I truly consider AJ to be the best soul jazz singer I've ever heard, but she can, and does, sing any genre. 🥰 See you again soon, my friend! Ciao! xo 😃

My dear, she was born to sing and her purpose is to sing for us, each one of us and fill our hearts with joy, hope and her love. Yes, physically she is 8 years old but her soul cannot be measured in time. When she sings her soulfulness is transformed into the sound of pure love and she is impossible to resist. Her poise and confidence she exhibits when she is performing is something she has had since that video you saw when she was 1 1/2 years old. Everything about what and how she is doing it is mind boggling and what is also impossible to ignore is what a beautiful, wonderful young child she is. When you watch this again, about a 1/3 of the way through the song she takes the mike away from her face and gives us a genuine smile and it's like she is telling us, "I love what I'm doing and I hope you are enjoying the song with me!" Yes, dear, we are her 'angels' and we treat her as family; sister, daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter and even great, great-granddaughter! She actually inspires us to be kinder to everyone, more caring and loving and to be the best we can be as human beings. One of her desires in life is to spread her love to everyone who listens to her sing because she wants us to love one another and that is a step which is necessary to make the world a better place to live for everyone, particularly for those less fortunate. She has helped raise millions of dollars for children's causes, donated her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to children's charities and sings barefoot because she doesn't want to forget a young girl (about her age) who didn't own a pair of shoes who she encountered when they were both about 6 years old. She gave that girl her shoes and decided then, at 6 years old, whenever she will sing in public she will not wear shoes until all the children in the world have shoes. It is unwritten but she understands people who see her barefoot know the story and perhaps it will encourage them to give support to the needy in whatever way they can. Dear, she came up with this idea when she was 6 !
There is no question she is in your heart already and she will never leave you. Your heart will never let that happen. Btw, to become an 'angel' the only qualification necessary is for you to feel her love in your heart. So, "Welcome, 'angel', nice to have you aboard with us!!!!!" 💗

To make you feel better, I’d suggest you listen to/watch her first 3 performances on NGT, to see her growth in the 6 months from Gloomy Sunday to here. I’ve been listening to her for almost exactly 9 years now, and a day doesn’t go by that I don’t let her voice “hug my heart and soul”. I am so thankful that she exists, and so very happy that she was born into the extra-ordinary family she has, that has nurtured the child and the human.

Your reactions to this amazing young woman are exactly how I felt when I first discovered her. Here is something another commenter posted about her recently " I think you'll find the more you experience her performances, you'll see she doesn't do anything on accident. Quincy Jones said she is the best vocalist since Michael Jackson. David Foster couldn't praise her enough, and Sugar Foot, Michael Jackson's drummer, said she "is the best to come to us in our time." Nora Jones had her open her Concert in Korea with 40,000 people. She was asked to do an encore. She was 10 years old. Every major label on the planet tried signing her, including Disney and Simon Cowell from AGT. she turned them all down. It's why she was "voted off" AGT the Champions. She wouldn't sign. She won Norways got talent when she was 8. The president of Republic Records met with her personally and agreed to Angelina's terms, and at 14, she signed with them. Angelina was declared a national treasure by the King of Norway. She is also the youngest published author in Norway. Her story is incredible, and her talent is unmatched." This is a great summary of the incredible Angelina Jordan story. She is truly a gift to our world with her beautiful soul. I am looking forward to you discovering more of her videos and story.

Thank you for your second beautiful and so excited reaction to Angelina. She was absolutely stunning for her very young age and for the confidence she displayed in what was, after all, the finale of her first ever public event. Seeing her sing the 4 different songs of this Talent, in the previous months we realized the constant progression of her interpretations and that she had never had hesitations or fears, the only moment she returned as a child is when they declared her the winner, with about 46% of the total votes, and she let herself go with tears of emotion.
She sang Summertime many times and each successive version tastes different, but they are all incredible and unreally beautiful.💛🧡❤

Have you seen the film Perfume? It's about a search for a smell that can instantly place those who smell it on you under your power. The smell goes right to the brain and activates something that makes you fall in love with the wearer.
    That is fiction.
AJ is not. AJ has a hint of that power when she sings. Her tone bypasses all cognition and plays with our base emotions.

She controls her rendition of this cover. Going from her chest voice to her head voice and back. She adds a vibrato when she extends the note. She has a natural signature rasp in her voice.
