You are correct, Angelina has stated several times that she never feels nervous when performing on stage. It's her favorite place to be. That was indeed her mother tearing up backstage, realizing that from this moment on she will have to share her daughter with the world. Fabulous reaction gents. This was the very first audition for Angelina on Norway's. Got Talent and she killed it. Imagine being seven years old in front of judges, live audience and national TV and delivering a heart rendering performance of an iconic song "Goomy Sunday." It doesn't get any better than this guys. The fact that she's this age delivering a jazz classic song had the judges in shakai I can see. Also remember English is not her first language. She's Norwegian and she singing a song in English and nailing it. She is fearless and so competent on stage. It's uncanny. Most adults would be shaking in their boots and she just comes on like it's another day. Just singing a song. What's really cute is she has the crooked front teeth but beautiful smile and the innocence of childhood in her corner. It's so hard not to fall in love with our beautiful princess and I think we all continue to do that as she got older and just turned 18 a few days ago. By the way guys. I think she will become a global star in the next couple of years. No doubt Angelina Jordan is a name that will be on everybody's lips in the near future. I guarantee it. In all these years I have listened to she thousands of times in hundreds of splendid interpretations and yet every time I see this first performance of hers at the age of 7, it makes me move again, like the first time, with that wonderful concentration of humility, simplicity, candor, sympathy and talent. She truly has musical knowledge and analytical ability that is beyond my comprehension. In the backstage interview before her performance, Angelina stated that she wanted to be a superstar - she already knew what she wanted to do with her life.
In her backstage interview for AGT she also said that when asked by the young shoeless girl what she wanted to be, Angelina told her that she wanted to be a superstar. She chose her own songs, and she began to arrange those songs and work closely with the musicians that accompanied her during NGT, and was observed by the judges who were in awe that a person her age could understand what she was singing and how she wanted to perform, an artistry which was well beyond her years, which is why she is a prodigy. Her combination of complete confidence and deep humility is one of the most notable and endearing features of Angelina: and her fearlessness... she simply does not get nervous performing.... she is on record saying this a number of times... it is almost as though she doesn't understand the concept of nervousness at all... she just loves being on stage and has said it's just fun for her.... and at the end she doesn't want to leave the stage she loves it so much.

Yes pjg… I think that is the reason. I’ve been following AJ since 2017. Longer than many (particularly Americans), but certainly not as long as many of the European Angels. Since then I have noticed waves of new Angelina fans coming into the fold. Many try their hand at contributing to Angelina’s “crowd sourced” biography and they do a very good job at it. Great reaction guys, thank you. This was the first time I heard this little fairy sing, 10 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. In all these years I have listened to she thousands of times in hundreds of splendid interpretations and yet every time I see this first performance of hers at the age of 7, it makes me move again, like the first time, with that wonderful concentration of humility, simplicity, candor, sympathy and talent. She truly has musical knowledge and analytical ability that is beyond my comprehension. Her phrasing, supported by her wonderful use of breath and bare easy jazz, always fascinates me and gives me chills every time. Angelina is pure poetry. ❤ 🧡 💛

Enjoyed your reaction. Angelina was asked why she chose this song and replied she couldn't sleep one night (she is a night owl, like myself) so she went on UA-cam to listen to music. She found "Gloomy Sunday" by Billie Holiday and loved the melody so much that she chose it for her audition.

In the backstage interview before her performance, Angelina stated that she wanted to be a superstar - she already knew what she wanted to do with her life.
In her backstage interview for AGT she also said that when asked by the young shoeless girl what she wanted to be, Angelina told her that she wanted to be a superstar. Some may think that as maybe being an ego thing but Angelina has said that her goal is to sing for the whole world and spread love. Being a superstar can help her achieve that goal.

You have to watch all 4 performances to see the pure talent in this child. You cant really appreciate just how good this performance is untill you hear Billie Holidays version. Angelina have always chose her own songs and most/all arrangements. Billie Holiday is her Idol and she says she would not be who she is without Billie Holiday. There is a video with all 4 NGT performances.

Her second performance of “I’m a fool for want you”, says everything, and everyone knew after that a cappella performance that she would go on to win. She chose her own songs, and she began to arrange those songs and work closely with the musicians that accompanied her during NGT, and was observed by the judges who were in awe that a person her age could understand what she was singing and how she wanted to perform, an artistry which was well beyond her years, which is why she is a prodigy.
Her growth on the show was remarkable, you should watch all of those performances together, the judges also made a prophetic query, what would she be in 10 hears when she was 18, and now we know. Well on the road to superstardom which was her dream for her future!

Her combination of complete confidence and deep humility is one of the most notable and endearing features of Angelina: and her fearlessness... she simply does not get nervous performing.... she is on record saying this a number of times... it is almost as though she doesn't understand the concept of nervousness at all... she just loves being on stage and has said it's just fun for her.... and at the end she doesn't want to leave the stage she loves it so much.

One where they cut off part of the song in the middle. Try to run the full version. It's acapella, one of her most amazing performances ever, my opinion. Yes pjg… I think that is the reason. I’ve been following AJ since 2017. Longer than many (particularly Americans), but certainly not as long as many of the European Angels.
Since then I have noticed waves of new Angelina fans coming into the fold. Many try their hand at contributing to Angelina’s “crowd sourced” biography and they do a very good job at it. But just as how sometimes errors creep into Angelina’s history, the UA-cam video versions that many new reactors select aren’t always the best ones to check out.
I have made it a point to provide links whenever I recommend they check out a particular video. 😉👍

This song is known as the Hungarian Suicide Song...if you listen to the original and take note of the lyrics, you will see where Angelina, probably to appease her mum, changed the lyrics to make it seem more about sadness/depression rather than suicide...
