With the speed they’re releasing new items and the recent inconsistency in quality and sizing - I’m getting a lot of fast fashion vibes from them, just for a much higher price.
Yes I know what you mean! I think they are still quite far from releasing the volume of clothing that true fast fashion companies do but I agree it's increasing and is concerning. Stick to the classics, like the Chloe, Will, Leontine etc and I think it's still good quality for the price :)
This was such a fun video! I know you adore Sezane but I'd love to see you do this with the Spring collections of other brands you enjoy shopping at too! I'd really like that! Thank you Katie and God bless! ❤
Basket bags are so easy to thrift or buy secondhand on Vinted. There are real vintage gems which are as pretty or even more unique than Sezane’s. Saja is where my heart is at 🤩
I was a diehard Sezane fan but not feeling it ATM. The latest collections are not the same vibe I really loved + the super short dresses and too much cleavage with these prices 😂. The positive is more and more shops have sezanish pieces. The silk and wool pieces I will always check though❤
Hey Katie, really love your sezane videos :) i have tried the sandy skirt in pink but didnt like it, the material seemed a bit cheap, it runned small and tight on the hips and it was very long for me (im 1.56m) hope it helps :)
Oh the last drop ❤ I got Dorotha dress and Lisa blouse in ecru and a beautiful blue t-shirt! They are gorgeous 😍 I have more in my wishlist. I'd love a pair of gold shoes and a few t-shirts and cardigans and many more... Oh sezane why??? You look so cute with that rouge on your cheeks 😘 Edit: Go for the mini! It suits your age and you look great in that style!
As a Frenchy who's been following Sézane's adventure since the beginning of it (I used to live in Paris when the brand launched), I confess I have a love/hate relationship with the brand... 😆🫣 I mean they do have gorgeous pieces, soooo désirable, but the prices and quality simply don't align. 😅 And I have the feeling it's getting worse and worse. Besides, as a thrifting addict, I can't help thinking that most of their pieces which are inspired by vintage fashion are "findable" on Vinted (or any other second hand site / place) in other brands, with better quality and for fraction or the price. 🧐 Typically the Sézane basket bags, although they're adorable, are super expensive for what they cost to produce. 😅
I know what you mean! I do think some of their pieces are good quality and worth the price but a lot aren’t. You have to be choosy and stick to the more classic pieces they’ve done for a long time, rather than the more trendy, seasonal pieces. I’m getting more and more into secondhand shopping and love shopping all the French brands on Vinted 😍
Hi, which other brands are you talking about. I only know of Sezane, Rouje, Soi Paris which are also very expensive. And i can't buy anything from Vinted because I live in Cyprus!
Have you seen the Saja Cardigan? It's gorgeous!! It's similar to the Cybèle Sweater except it is long-sleeved and has an extra touch of ruffle-knit detailing on the v-neck. Wish it was in an ecru color + 100% cotton though, but it's not.
I would indeed recommend the June basket, I got it last year. The only thing I don't like as much is that there is no closure at the top but it's one of the things I would buy from them again. Btw my all time favourite bag from them is the camel croc Farrow, I have used it tons over the past 3 years. I understand why you like the Sarah dress, it also caught my eye. But I think those metallic threads look too delicate to last for a long time.
Ah that is good to know, thank you! Yes that's true, I also heard someone say once the metallic threads are quite uncomfortable on the skin so that puts me off as well.
You NEED those red loafers! I'm so tempted by those stripe 70s trousers, I might make my first Sezane order soon. Random question, do you work in fashion?? Isabelle x
I looove the Sarah dress, but just like the version from a few seasons ago (was it called Orchidee back then?) it shows too much cleavage. I wish I could have kept it :(
I will just add, I have a full time job that I try to juggle with UA-cam. I have a list of probably over 100(!) video ideas but with limited time try to prioritise the ones I know people have requested/want to see, which is often Sézane.
@@katie_louise I find your Sezane reviews very helpful. Actually yours is one of my favorite channels on youtube at the moment. You don't buy items massively and the reviews are more honest in that sense. There are persons like me who are fans of the brand (I buy like 50% of my clothes from them nowadays) and this kind of video provides some guidance as per what pieces are worth the investment. So thanks for making these.
@@katie_louise Please don't stop. Your videos are very informative and honest. I agree with above it helps people make good choices re sizing and quality. thank you!

I agree with your sentiments!

Yess also agreed! I get a lot of Sezane on Vinted :)
Totally agree ! 🌞

Yeah I know what you means, their aesthetic has changed quite a lot from the old days.

That does help, thank you! That’s a shame but not entirely unexpected ☹️

Hahaha you sound like me! So much on my Sezane wishlist. Awh thank you!
Would love to see you doing a wedding guest outfit video!
It’s on my list!!

@@katie_louise Thank you for your kind reply, YES Vinted is a gold mine, ha ha ! My wallet will never fully recover. 😆

@@ANNITAMINA & Other Stories is good, not a French brand but a similar style.

I was hoping that they would bring the Saja out in an ecru couleur aswell😫😫😫
Saja is beautiful! Agreed Ecru would be perfect, I do love the purple as well though actually!

I actually do need them!! I don't! I work in education actually haha :)
I wann to order the Sandy Skirt in Black with flowers too! But Im Not sure with sizing 😸 And the material looks really thin
Yeah it does 🤔 I might order it for review so watch this space! ❤️
@@katie_louise I got the dress and it is 100% silk -- the lining is viscose. I am sure the skirt is the same.
I looove the Sarah dress, but just like the version from a few seasons ago (was it called Orchidee back then?) it shows too much cleavage. I wish I could have kept it :(
Awh no :( such a shame, why do they do that?!
Sezanes' strong suit is definitely the knitwear I'm not impressed by their other items
Unsubbing for a while - there’s more to style than Sézane.
Sorry to hear that, but no worries 😌 x
