MR2 2ZZ - Corolla JDM ECU v Corolla UKDM ECU

Interesting results from a back-to-back dyno sessions at EFI parts Runcorn.
JDM made 190hp @7800rpm and 138 ft/lbs, with a rev limit of 8400rpm.
UKDM made 185hp @8000rpm and 138 ft/lbs, with a rev limit of 8250rpm.
UK ECU ran very Rich in the 10's, JDM ECU was much better but still a little rich for optimum power.

Would be nice to compare 12260 vs 20060 which are corolla vs celica jdm ECUs, I feel my 20060 is hell of aggressive after lift

Toyotas love a bit of rich running. Could be worse, at least its not really lean.

Awesome, what setup is the 2zz swap in this video? MWR swap manifold, or celica modified manifold? Custom intake or stock airbox? Thanks!

Celica modified manifold with 200cel sports cat. BMC CDA intake with cold air feed from the rear quarter side scoop.

hmm, are the Celica and Corolla ECUs interchangeable? my cars currently running the Celica one. these both running v-power ect?

Unfortunately not. To run a Corolla ECU you need to also run a OE MR2 1ZZ ECU for the body controls. Corolla 2ZZ ECU runs engine parameters only.

Does the jdm ecu have the 112mph limit? I have a 2zz auto celica ecu in my starlet conversion but I hot speed cut at 120mph and rev limiter is at 8k
