Full moon usually meant fish could feed all night with moon light. During the day fish would rest/avoid the heat of the day. Not 💯 but plausible. I’ve fished Charlotte harbor on the gulf coast here and that’s been my experience. Less bite during the full moon.
Sick top water eats! Can’t go wrong with the skitterwalk. My all time fav. As for full moon. It affects snook a lot more because they feed all night with that extra light. Day time comes and they are worn out and full. Unless it’s a cloudy night. Then it doesn’t affect them as much. Reds do feed at night. But not like a snook does. So I usually only target reds on full moon days during daylight.
Moon phases are what determines the tides. There's always more drastic tides usually either the ebb or incoming but sometimes both. Essentially it means stronger current but long slack tides. I just try to fish the changing tide when the current is about to be strongest. And as some of the other comments say, I love fishing at night on a full or new moon.
even on a new moon? the tides are definitely strong on a new moon but lack of visibility tends to make fishing new. moons at night very difficult for me, and a little spooky when you're crossing over a mile of deep water in a kayak in complete darkness hahaha. but 2-3 days before a full moon always has fish at night
personally, i love fishing on a full moon because it normally means the tides will be big!! I only really ever fish for striped bass and redfish and they tend to love strong currents. The bigger the tide, the stronger the current. KEEP up the great work man! love your videos!
Do you use that conflict because its what you like? Or all you need? Cant afford others? Dont want to buy others? I have one myself. Im curious if you have other spinning reels or have any that you like that you want to get. Awesome vids.
Full moon for me personally is not good for the IR Lagoon fishing. Never have caught much and we start 20 minutes before the sun comes up. Maybe just me and my fishing partner! LOVE fishing Rapalas too. Never heard of the Skitter Walk you were using. I will have to pick on up and see what happens.
what are things you look for before you go fishing? I.E what kinda of tides are most favorable in your opinion? how do u determine what areas hold fish?
I only look for calm winds when it comes to conditions, and typically focus on clear water. The way I determine which areas hold fish is fishing everywhere basically.
I see a lot of conjecture in the comments. I spearfish at night; (Florida and Caribbean) on the full moon there are zero fish to be found - they are not out and moving like the other nights.
Fishing a full moon is usually best at night because "it's brighter at night and the fish tend to eat more that's why usually people don't like to fish the morning after a full moon". because they say the fish feed up the night before and won't eat the morning after. the morning after
A full moon to me usually means that since the fish could see all night for the last couple of nights leading up to the full moon usually the day of and day after the full moon I don't catch much during the day.
I dont really know what a full moon means cuz there have been day where is cought a 35in fish or something like that and then the next full moon is bad so idk
Ok I'm sure a lot of people don't like my low tide comment. Look at it this way. When the tide is low the fish are concentrated in a smaller area. When the tide starts coming in the fish will feed.
They say a full moon at night means fish will typically feed all night so not much luck during the next day. I don’t know...fish anyway. As far as the creep lurking behind you, can’t stand people like that. I’ve only had to deal with it once but just always be aware of your surroundings. Fish on brutha.

Mike P Agree, and why the new moon is my favorite.

Luke C. I fish from shore or dock at night. I'm with you, not about to take the kayak out in the pitch black lol.

Every day is a good day to fish
The production quality of your videos is definitely improving....
Thanks!
Big snook off docks next? Always awesome videos
#1 makes for a great night bite. #2 stronger tides with the full moon. If you're gonna fish the day full moon definitely fish the tide changes.

@@justin_menendez Awesome thanks for the reply! How about following tides from high to low and vice versa?
Full moon is the best to fish at night hard during the daytime
What kind of boat do you have?

i think it means that the fish feed at night therefor don't eat as much in the daytime
South Florida native here. I don't like the full moon and l don't like high tide either.
