Wow Nowa, you are incredible! I always say communication is key in any relationship, easier said than done to unpack and express your true feelings to someone though. I really don’t know what it’s like to have depression, but I know severe sadness and I know I wouldn’t want to get up and do anything when I’m in that state. You got up and pushed through, you healed yourself and you continue to work on yourself. My father always said “there’s nothing stopping you from doing anything but yourself, regardless of the circumstances” Nick admiring your will to get up and workout!! 🥹🥹🥹 Amazing job!! I’m so inspired and motivated! 😭👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️
Actually Nick and I had this exact conversation two days ago: the biggest contention in relationships. I said finance and he said communication and then I was like, yea, I knew that lol. Because it’s true. It’s the only thing I don’t compromise on and that is communicating. I don’t think there has been one day in our 15 years where we let an issue go without it being properly resolve first. Which was much harder on Nick than it was on me because he was an avoidant. He’s reformed now lol but he has his moments. Maybe severe sadness to the extent that you don’t want to do anything is a case of mild depression? I know for me, since I’ve healed from severe depression I do experience sadness and mild cases of depression and they are definitely different experiences for me. I do think that there are circumstances that chemical imbalances in the brain that can stop us from doing something’s but I do believe that we heal some of those imbalances on our own if we don’t have professional resources to help us. I just love how you pass on your father’s wisdom to me 🥹 I love my father to death but we’ve never had a particularly close relationship so I don’t have many sayings from him to pass on but it’s such a warm feeling when you bring your father up. I very much like his lessons 🙂 and yes, Nick is the absolute BEST! ♥️ and I’m crushing it 💪🏽😁
@@nonFluencerNoWa I understand that it’s not easy for people to openly communicate with their partners, it sounds crazy because that person is your person! But also people are afraid they’ll be judge or misunderstood or that they will ruin the relationship. But then not communicating does exactly that! It’s really nice that you were able to influence Nick positively, baby steps! You know, I did think of that possibility but I never thought too much of it or spoke to someone about it. I come from a culture where depression is “not real” and no one takes it seriously. You’re absolutely right, just trying is winning half the battle. I’m very close to my father and I always get words of wisdom from him. Nothing makes me happier than to pass them to someone who needs to hear them 🥹❤️
It was always easy for me to communicate openly so I actually thought it was the same for most people. but as I get older, I find that I meet more people that find it difficult to communicate their feelings openly than there are people who do it effortlessly. It’s an eye opener for me for sure. We actually just lost our eldest cat today, Baby Girl😭. She was 18 and passed away last night. really hard for both of us but Nick usually deals with grief by internalizing. Not today. He was so open and expressive about what he was experiencing so he’s definitely made tremendous progress. Moments where he’s holding on to his feelings are few are far between now so he’s taken giant steps, for sure. ♥️ Depression is still seen as “not real”? Even women feel that way as well?
@@nonFluencerNoWa oh my God Nowa so sorry for your loss! Losing a pet is heartbreaking. I’m sure she was loved and care for and lived a good life ❤️ I’m glad you guys are communicating and grieving openly, this is healthy and it helps during hard times. My heart goes out to you and Nick ❤️ Even women in my country think depression is not real. They make a joke out of it and call it a “weakness”. Absolutely insane.
well if they don’t experience Depression, i guess it’s fine. And if their sons and daughters don’t experience it and they don’t have to actively deal it, it kinda makes sense. or if this approach helps deal/cope with their down moments, then it works. I always agree with approaches that work for people that don’t hurt others in the process because our individual needs are so variable.
Hiii 😊, *lmk if you proved something to yourself last week and how that’s taking you into this week!* I read & respond to all your comments so, looking forward ❤ And if you don’t leave a comment, leave a like so I know you were here ✨
You definitely have a lot of potential. Are you noticing any gains, or muscles starting to pop yet? 😮 Also your sped-up stretch routine reminded me of The Exorcist 👻😂
