You have definitely inspired me to do hot process soap ! Anytime I do a batch. Have to replay your videos ! You are the only one that breaks down the instructions. I love it & i love the feel of Greek yogurt in my batches !
thank you for sharing your soap making process. i have always wanted to try this method, but, am still using the crock pot method for now. your videos are very informative and inspirational. the colours used are fantastic. i can't wait for my mad mica colours to arrive in new zealand so i can give this hp process a go. again, thank you for sharing
I have seen the difference between the hot and the cold process. But what is better? Which soap is better? What made u to decide to make hot processed soap?
I love Hot Process if I want to make a natural bar. Something more creative and artsy I would do cold process. What I have notice between both. My hot process holds fragrance longer than my cold processed soap. They both lather and moisture the same because use same ingredients but I feel like my hot process last longer for me and makes my skin feel great.
Can you describe how you mixed your colors? How much of each, what liquid/solvent did you dissolve them up in, etc. also, how much sodium lactate and Greek yoghurt did you use? Thanks! I LOVE THIS VIDEO!
I really enjoyed this! Thank you beautiful I’m still learning soap 🧼 ✨♥️🌸 And I know you’re a pro but I wanna see you with your long sleeves on 🧤👍🏽 That reaction is a little scary 😟 but I know you got this because bars came out beautifully I wish I could smell them! 🧼😍🧼 and I’m glad you said the small imperfections add character to the bars 👏🏽💯 because it really does!! This was so good and helpful! Happy Soaping 🧼👏🏽✨😍🧼✨
Did I understand correctly that after initially heating your oils to 200°, you didn’t heat your soap any more? The heat was just from adding your lye solution?
I love this 😍 thank you for sharing... Sorry, I got confused with the explanation, is it the lye solution that make it bubble like it's cooking or you put it on hot plate to cook... I'm new in soap making, pls help me. And how much lye solution is used in it. Thanks
So first you heat you oils up to 190° then poor to a heat resistant container and then add your fresh lye water. That chemical reaction will heat up on its own. With the friction of the hand blender
What is the heat source you used? I thought you said that you only wait for the reactions to happen. So if oils and lye are hot above 200⁰ the natural hot process will happen?? What is the temperature you use for this method for both oils and lye??
So I heat up my oils on an induction stove until it is 200° then I remove from stove. The I add my fresh lye around same temp. When oils and lye mix at this temp it will have a reaction without extra heat.
@@OldTownCharm Good afternoon! Thank you very much for teaching me! Thank you! What other liquid can I use if I don't use fragrance oil? Thank you again!
I watch your video because i just made some hot process soap today and i wanted to check out how to mix in colours n so on. I just put some honeybush tea which i grounded in the coffee grounder, at the end. But tell me please with what did you mix the micas? Alcohol or oil? Because you didn't mention it. I will make a new batch of hps and will put nutmilk in it, so it can stay vegan.
TFS...you mentioned that your soaps are all natural...are your micas plant derived or chemical? Does that change whether the final product is still natural? 🤔
Sorry, I wrote you in another video. I see here that I can replace the Greek yogurt with sodium lactate (to have a more fluid mixture). But I have another question, do you have a healing time? How long is it? Can I use this soap in 2 days? Once again, thanks to your help, and again I'm sorry for my English!
There are multiple ways to make soaps. The hot process soap method accelerates faster than the cold process therefore in an hour you have a cured soap that can be used immediately. Cold process cures in 4-6 weeks.
Finally a good tutorial. No one mentioned before that reaction gives it all the heat it needs.

Awesome and thanks. Here to help!
This has given me a much better understanding of making soap for my Chemistry lab report (a bit portion of my final semester grade). Thanks so much.
I've never tried hot process without a crockpot. Very interesting.
Try it
great video of hot process soap making. No need heat after mixing with oil and lye .
Yes, exactly no need the reaction does it all.
Your soap looks wonderful thank you for sharing that looks easier than I have seen hot process soap done before
Thank you so much!
I have never seen hot process made before but it looks very interesting when it starting bubbling in the pot
Hot process is great b/c it does not take weeks to cure.
Love doing it!
@@georgecarr4849 It does takes weeks to cure. The cure time for HP and CP are the same. HP only accelerates Saponification, not curing.

Aww thanks. Hope the color arrive soon! Have fun making it.
Thank you

I add the color during the cooking.
No, I add when it is cooler and mix with my fragrance.

Sure will do that soon, but I do mention on my other videos how much of everything I use.

That is correct the lye water and oil mix plus blending fast makes this reaction and it will go as high as 235° F
@@OldTownCharm how do I know when it’s ready to mold?

Actually the oils and lye when mixed at a high temperature will cause the reaction.
Im confused... 😅 How are you heatinf this???

Please explain what vessel you can and can't mix lye into the water in? I don't want to melt anything 😑
I recommend glass or heat resistant plastic. You can use ones in the dollar store. Hope this help.
what are u doing different of cold process ? there is also heat in the process of cold soap
Because hot process is immediately soap. Cold process has to cure
The temp are different for cold process vs hot you skip some of the saponification process

did you mix the micas with water before adding them to the soap? if yes I'd love to know how much water
I mix with my fragrance oil or oils never with water.
What a ROBUST CREATION! BREATH TAKING! Thank you for sharing. May I know what liquid did you use to mix the mica with? Thank you in advance.
I mixed it with my fragrance oil

Where did you get your soap cutter?
It is from Amazon but sold out. Here is a similar one. amzn.to/35BXicD

I mix either with oil or with the fragrance I will be using. Hope this helps. I only mix the mica with alcohol when I do melt and pour embeds.
Wow! Looks amazing! Where did you get your mold from?
Local flower shop in Miami. Had these amazing wood flower rectangular pots.
Thank you. I enjoyed the video and would love to try it. How much sodium lactate and greek yogurt do you add to your recipe?
I use a teaspoon for each pound of sodium lactate and 4 to 5 spoon of yogurt for a 6 lb of soap
After you finish making you’re soap!! where do you put it at so it can get hard😍❤️
I have a soap tray. I get it from here. amzn.to/3oJuw14
how long you will cure the soap ?
For 3 weeks. So all water evaporates and it is a hard and long lasting bar.
TFS...you mentioned that your soaps are all natural...are your micas plant derived or chemical? Does that change whether the final product is still natural? 🤔
Good questions. I use both. Depends on what my clients wants.
i was told that palm oil isnt good. was i told wrong.
Use sustainable palm oil. I use it for my Vegan soaps you can use Lard for none vegan as a substitute.

All hot process soap is soap at the very end. But if you want a solid soap I wait 3 weeks to use. Hope this helped :)
Hello where is your scale from? I’m stuggling to find a proper scale for accuracy

What percent of lye concentration do you use
35 to 38%
