ERRORS NOTICED: - Ricky Rudd was Accident 10. The zero did not render in production. - Harry Dinwiddie was not unhurt in the crash, he did suffer injury. - Delmar Clark suffered a concussion and broken finger. Also, I know I showed racing at Talladega in the beginning. I do have footage of Daytona racing, but I preferred the angle I had with the Talladega shots.
I talked to Randy Lajoie. A couple years ago. I asked him about that wreck. He said he left the hospital to go to the Bahamas. Said he didn’t remember any of the trip.
Daytona has always had some very brutal wrecks from slmost the get go. Think the absolute worst has to be that of Modified Star Don McTavish. Randy Lajoie's terrible bottom side impact with the inside 4th turn wall was just crazy. Bet there wasn't a part on that car that wasn't broke or bent. And Randy being able to survive tells you how tough he is and was. Glad all these guys lived to maybe race again. Thanks for the video.
Wow, after all the accidents, no one even thought of designing this dangerous wall differently so that the cars couldn't be thrown back onto the track? Good job done .... not!
1:44 This footage is early video, not film. The image is the best it can be, using sunlight vs. studio lighting. I was impressed at the clarity and then I thought of the sunlight advantage. I think it's also been enhanced by modern stuff I don't want to get in to, but really great early video footage.
Two things. I remember watching the IROC series, on the promo there was a crash I thought it was at Daytona with someone hitting a mound of Dirt and flipping. Of all the crashes nobody took out the Union 76 sign on the corner of pit in.
There is much better footage of Delmar Clark's crash on the internet that shows the full incident. The only place I've seen it was in some random crash compilation somewhere.
Dinwindie is not unhurt,in the rest of the broadcast,Dinwiddie is seen on a stretcher (I don't really know what his injury was, maybe it was a concussion)
How is this even fun to watch anymore, all your watching now is who can stay in line,no innovation nothing, just need to close the doors an the hell with it all
Daytona and Indy both had inside walls that turned into 90 degree head-ons when cars spun off of turn 4. All of these wrecks at Daytona and the wall Dave McDonald hit at Indy in 1964 to start that inferno that killed McDonald and Eddie Sachs. Fortunately both of these walls at both tracks have been fixed to run parallel to the track. What he heck were they thinking when the built those walls originally.

WOW!! MY GOD!!
Can you do a Vline remix?
And so that is amazing. I never noticed that very cool nice videos as well. Keep it up.
What injuries did Dinwiddie suffer?
@@Noshcar-bb3ie I never was able to find that
How Phil Finney survived that wreck is amazing to me. The whole frame of that car was bent into an "L" shape

At 12:00 - watching this tape, I'm reminded of Darrell Waltrip being nicknamed "Jaws" for his loose comments.
As I recall, I don't remember what year, Harry Gant hit that inside wall and it sounded like a cannon. But, at my age, my memory changes each day.
Great Video

Do you remember anything about it, or should we just start searching?
@@Herobrine_Hoax The video is titled "Craziest Crashes in Motorsports History (Non-Fatal)" by Savage Brick Sports, at the 3:34 mark.
Ricky Bobby, you're not on fire..! "Help me Jesus..! Help me Tom Cruise..!"
the last crash had Jim Hurlbert in the old flying dentist car of Dr. Gil Roth from Pittsburgh

So talking about Daytona but showing Talladega in the intro???
Here to comment the same thing, I could tell as soon as I didn’t see lake Lloyd
As soon as I saw all of the Gieco and Yellawood logos, I said the same thing.
Bizarre…
Get a thesaurus
Do a video on Charlotte turn 4 now😅
North Florida? If you consider Miami central Florida.
He’s talking about a track but showing a completely different race track? Lil bro get it right
At least use the right track for footage

It's been like that for several decades now
Huh? You don't like modern racing then don't watch.
Nascar has sucked since the late 80's. Like a traffic jam of Skittles on the track. Boring! Even the road course races aren't entertaining anymore.
Just stop watching then
