My name Robert and I'm diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenic my life was horrible my dad got me started at the age of 13 my dad died when he was 35 it destroyed me I gotten worse n lost my mind been in 2 different mental hospitals.. my schizophrenic gotten so bad I was seeing n hearing 100s of people I couldn't handle it.. I Finally cried out to God for help give myself to the lord.. it was a long 7yrs but he finally saved my soul.. I had been going to church fir a ye now been saved and baptized I life has been so wonderful now.. thank you Jesus for saving me

3 years ago I was Jewish, lost, hating God because my mother died 8 years before. 8 years of hate eight years of sin and pain. Then my friend brought me to her church and they played your song come as you are. That song really spoke to me and i felt like all the bad I had done was forgiven in the instant and now I am Christian and I have never been happier. Thank you

I really enjoyed reading your comment, I don't think I've ever really viewed death this way- at least not in a long while. It's true, we chose sin and this resulted in death, just like the Lord had warned Eve. There is absolutely no reason why humans should blame God for death. THANK JESUS, He has provided redemption, a way back to Him, and reconciliation, it's undeserved on our part, and it's amazing!
David, I don't know if you'll ever read this comment but I just want to tell you how thankful I am for your music and your ministry. For over 20 years your music has spoken to my soul and given me a new vocabulary in which to love my Lord. This song right here broke me. I grew up in church son of a deacon and a prestigious lineage of pastors. I felt like Paul arrogant in my faith I knew I was going to heaven no matter what, but little by little I listened to that snake. I let him entreat me farther from God than I ever wanted to be. I always thought I was pushing the boundaries but the enemy was redrawing them to get me away from Christ. This was until a few years ago when it all caught up with me. I found myself at 3 am with flashing lights and no excuses and no way out. I was embarrassed and kind of afraid to call my wife, but utterly terrified to call my mom. I knew I had disappointed them and brought scorn to my family, my only solace was that I didn't have to face my dad and know that I had let him down. But that incident was a catalyst for change in my life. This song, even though I had not heard it yet,had become my prayer. I knew that devil lied to me but I was more. Almost 4 years later my faith is stronger than it has ever been. I love to hear the stories of changed lives. Thank you brother.

In 2017 my high school marching band did a show entitled “Eve”. It was all about the perfection of Eden and the fall into darkness. We heard this song once during competition prep and it became the song we sat in silence and pondered week after to week going to every competition. It became so much bigger than the show, and created a large community surrounding us and other bands doing Christian themed shows. Out of all my years in band that was the most special.

Praise God that he brought me back to the narrow road! I strongly suggest getting into God's presence every day...through worship, praying out what you read in the Bible (this was a big game-changer for me), and prayer, both for yourself and others. Set aside just an hour every day, even though it may feel like a chore at first. God will start working in increasingly powerful ways, bringing people into your life to minister to, cleansing you of old desires and giving you new ones. God is the greatest, and it's worth the fight! The peace and joy that I feel every day now through Christ is something that I never imagined. I'll pray for you, but be encouraged and walk in stride with the Lord, He loves you so much :)

This song is so powerful. At first I saw it as Adam’s sorrowful plea to God for his sin and asking for forgiveness. But it quickly turns to our Savior’s sacrifice and his gift of forgiveness that we all have been given. All we need is to believe and confess that only Jesus can save us.
