Nice shop Peter. About the same size as mine. I decided to go with a combination machine by SCMI. Love the Felder. The combinatioin machine takes up far less space and does all I need for panel work and solid lumber dressing.
Dear Peter, wonderful shop and very cool machines do you have in your school. How as i see do you own two bandsaws, an Hammer N4400 and a bigger Felder i think, but it's model didn't show in this video. Could you specify please the model of the Felder? Thank you.
@@WoodWorkersWorkshopLimited Hi again, ...and this was changed to Hammer N4400 or do you have both? Which is better in your daily user experience? I'm actually right in buying one and that's why i am asking for. The Felder must be better, but i didn't have practical experience with them. Thank you again for your opinion.
@@zotyar6829 I have owned both the Hammer and Felder, for a furniture workshop where accuracy, joint cutting and general re sawing is needed the Hammer is excellent. For a Joinery workshop where larger timbers are being worked the Felder may be better. I think the quality of both machines are much the same, it's mainly the size that is different. Cheers Peter
Envious of that veneer press! Would love it if we could get out mitts on one of those! Very much appreciating how you've laid out the shop. Very familiar thought journeys.
Wheres the sawdust? Real shops are never really without sawdust laying around. Other wise they are just posing for pictures and offering free advise on how to be like them.
Great set up, some lovely machinery too.
Cheers Mark, we do like our kit

The combination machines can be real space savers!

Whats the size of your woodshop ?
Thanks for the video
The machine shop in the video is 13x6M plus we have a hand tool workshop and design studio and timber store.
How many students do you have? good use of space though. Just finished my course at Chippendales. Very different space but similar equipment.
Hope you enjoyed your course, we have 8 students in the workshops.
Might need to make some door casing trim. lol
Hello, what length slider is that? Looks like 2500mm if so do you wish it was longer when cutting 96” material?
Is the Bandsaw a Felder fb 510?
Great advice, Peter. Lots to consider. :-)
Cheers Olly, I hope it was useful
How can these smaller companies afford these machines ?
so jealous

The dust is in the extractors and vacuum cleaners, some makers have it in their lungs.
