Okay lads here me out: Dodgeball of expantion selections New series where Solem and a competitor trade turns and each picking 1 expantion Once you pick that expansion the other person is locked out of that expansion and cannot use any cards from that expansion. You can only use cards from the expantion you selected. Loser picks a new expansion and first to earn the most wins out of 11 wins the series [Bonus: you don't NEED to make new accounts and just use these current accounts]
I would love for this series to be reworked I.e. expansion showdown but best of 9 using all classes so we get full variety depending on packs opened each expansion. From a strategy perspective ot could be interesting, do you use your strongest deck first? What if it loses etc so lots of opportunities for fun times. When you get to demon hunter release you roll on which class is banned for that expansion
The current longest episode of expansion showdown is 1 hour and 20 minutes long. The average episode is 42 minutes long. The current maximum of games is 5 while the new maximum would be 17. And obviously a perfect win would at least be 9 matches. So even the shortest episode of that new format would on average be longer than the longest episode of expansion showdown yet. Generally we could say that it is around 3 times as long. Thats a lot of time that would go into a series that a lot of people wouldn't watch cause its too long anyway (not everyone can watch a 4 hour episode). And thats not even taking in account, that a 9-0 steamroll is considerably less likely than 3-0. Simply because of RNG but also because they try to bring their best decks right now but if they have to win with all classes its a lot less likely that Dekksters worst deck can beat Solems best deck for example. This also doesn't even consider how much more time in deckbuilding and editing this would consume. Lastly I personally prefer the strategic perspective more where they have to think about what their strongest classes are from what they have gotten.
The sad part is this is every f2p players experience saving up for 50 packs and then a clown fiesta of deck building.(not dekksters golden legendary run tho)
Maybe a suggestion is that you should upload them all as 2 hours, and after the match is finished you can fill in the rest of the time with empty space, not trying to nitpick but time is a huge spoiler tbh.

I hope we get a new episode of Expansion Showdown with each new expansion after all the prerecorded episodes, this is my favorite ongoing Hearthstone series.

I like these stats but yeah in short playing 9 classes so a best of 18 would take 3h+

yes, we plan on having episodes until the next expansion gets released and then either run it back and prob change some rules for season 2
