Craig, I bused my drums, a kick, a snare and a couple hats…..I then used the Amek mastering compressor on that bus and WHOAH!!!! I’ve never heard anything like that in my life…..it made my entire mix sound 3D….i know you’re real into that compressor….i see why….and on rap vocals….even more magic 🪄 just had to say it….
I didn't have Glue available for the mixes of an album I'm producing, but in mastering, I have Amex Mastering Compressor followed by Glue and I kinda like that. I'll need more time with it in mixing and look forward to it. Seems like it will be very much worth the time to get fluent with this plugin, thanks for this demo. Love your approach to using both the Amek MC and Glue. They are both "first reach" plugins for me now.
Good alternative to the Townhouse. I'm not sure which developer came up with the split band feature but another very popular developer came out with a dual band version of a legendary gluing compressor. I'm really excited seeing PA coming out with their own version. Definitely going to get this!
It would be great if both the processed and bypassed vers. have the same volume level, for better evaluation. It's a shame that something so simple and important like LEVEL Matching was not considered.
very nice plugin and!!! despite PA's specifications this works great on mac os 10.13.6..... seems someone got lazy over there or just decided they no longer wanted some of us using their products. in either case...decent CPU-usage as well...good job thanks.
I have a question... are you supposed to set the crossover point using a phase correlation meter on the master, or is it just a gain balance adjustment feature?

Having a "3D" drum bus, how in the world did that mess fit into the rest of the mix? Almost sounds impossibly sloppy.🤔
@@jameswilkerson8873 you have never used a bus?
@@jameswilkerson8873 please go try before downing it. Use a compressor on it.
Hi Craig - thanks for the review
So its like the Shadow Hill Master Comp with the Nickel and Iron Tone control. Cool
Great explanation

I’ve been using Townhouse for years (and occasionally SPL Iron). If it compares well to Townhouse, I might try it!

Wow... you can really hear that upper mid range emphasized!
This is going on the mixbus for every 2 track mix

HI CRAIG!!
Using the old A/B trick where the non-bypassed one is louder so it creates the illusion of it sounding better? ... seriously?
Sorry, the volume rise up when activate the plugin.
