You may have to do another layer or even two it takes practice. It’s nasty, makes me want to learn to smooth metal better 😊. A wood paint stir stick is good for getting it out of the can. Considering your level of experience your doing a great job.

There are auto paint stores that can match the original color and put it in rattle cans for you. I've done it several times for small spot repairs. The truck is looking great. Nice work!👍😎

The spray paint will dull over time. You could also wet sand it with 2-3000 grit.
