Mallard 75: The Great Gathering (Autumn 2013)

I was disappointed that I couldn't make it to the first Great Gathering at the National Railway Museum back in July (then again, looking at the crowds, I'm, in some respects, rather pleased I couldn't!). So on a day off from work, I decided to visit to get some footage of the repatriated A4s, 60008 Dwight D. Eisenhower and 4489 Dominion of Canada.
I spent a day at the NRM with the 6 A4s, trying to avoid the crowds of people that surrounded the locomotives. It wasn't the easiest film to compile, especially as the area around the turntable is so small and the lighting in the Great Hall is not good in the slightest. I did the best I could though, and this is the result.
A huge thank you to all the staff at the NRM and to everyone involved with organising this remarkable event.

Good video. Wasn't massively busy either so you were able to get some decent shots. :-)
