Squat and Lunge Fix (STOP KNEE PAIN!)

  • Sore knees? This is for you!
Knee pain is one of the most frequent problems I see when I coach so if you are suffering, don't worry, you are not alone! The most common cause of knee pain is incorrect technique during lower body exercises like squats, running, lunging and jumping. When we repeatedly do these exercises with poor form the ligaments and cartilage begin to suffer. So, when you experience pain it could be a build up of months or even years of wear and tear. Hectic RIGHT!
This is why I want to help! I've covered two lower body exercises in this video, squats and lunges, because they are the most fundamental exercises we use when we train.
Remember, it takes a little while to re-train your body to move in a new way so don't expect to move perfectly the first time you make these changes. Start with no weight, move slow with each rep and keep focused on how your body moves (be bodily aware!). Doing these exercises in front of a mirror is super handy to pick up any sneaky mistakes or naughty habits too!
    Health and happiness,
    ab x

Same just started bodybuilding last week & im gonna do reverse lunges, stiff legged deadlifts & calf raises no squats for now
Although through my research I’ve learned that everyone has their own natural way to squat based on the structure of their Themur bone & you can test how wide a stance & foot placement works best for your squats using things like Craig’s test-checkout squat university’s UA-cam channel or search “how to squat naturally for me” as there’s no one size fits all method for squatting to prevent knee pain

I’ve been struggling to do a proper forward lunge as an obese person without proper training. I felt like my posture wasn’t right, my stance and the way I engaged in forward lunge was all wrong. Thus, furthering my knee pain. I found lots of videos showing alternatives and exercises to try to reduce pain or strengthen my knees etc. (Not being able to perform a proper lunge made me feel very discouraged) But neither that I’ve watched have showed and explain in such simple but clear details on how to properly do it. I’m so glad I stumbled upon your video! You showed us from many angels which really helps me visualise it so much better and your explanation was so simple but clear and straight to the point. Easy to catch and understand. Thank you so much! I will definitely start including them in my exercises! I tried following your guide in this video and did it along with you while you explained, and I could IMMEDIATELY feel the difference! My knees really didn’t feel too uncomfortable nor pain!
