    Wow no matter how many times I see this amazing site i am still blown away but sadly cant imagine it would be possible for a disabled angler

      Hello Richard, thank you for your comment. We can accommodate disabled anglers at Gillhams. All the swims are flat concrete swims. there are slops leading from the bungalows down to the lake and then back up to the restaurant. Would you like me to contact you with further details? All the best Paul

      Thanks buddy, I could only some a few of them, we had an amazing 2 days fishing, I had 15 Redtails on the first day alone, it was too much action to show all in one video.

    Probably the most informative video I've seen, I'm going on the 21st March 2023 and I'm a little nervous considering the size of the equipment and fish but I'm also very excited

    Another amazing video Peter. I was wondering, do you think you could do more freshwater spin fishing videos? You only have two as you already know. You are my favorite fishing presenter on UA-cam. With time I know that you will gain more subscribers. Keep being a great fisherman and presenter. Best of luck on your next fishing trip!

    If you think the head end of a 90lb Mekong is heavy, try lifting one of 260lb!
    Great video, it brought back many memories. All the best,

      Hi Thanks for your kind comments, yes the fish are great the place is amazing.
      I turned of the likes as I want people to comment if they have something good or bad to say I prefer people to say it, I think the likes are too impersonal.
      Thanks again for watching, check out my other fishing videos, hope you also enjoy them. Regards Peter

  • @LordZetera00
    @LordZetera00 11 років тому +1

    Ah reading the comments you've placed I understand why you turned off the likes. Though I've watched videos that liken "Likes" as a form of World Wide Web Applause of sorts. But off that topic this video was amazing and I honestly prefer this to every fishing show I've watched thus far. That Mekong catfish was huge... and yea can't believe that was the smaller end of their size. Also may the Red Tails be with you.

      Hi Lord, Thank you for taking the time to comment and also for your kind comments. Its me in the video and all I try to do is just show people my excitement, and also not talk to everyone as if they are thick and I am clever. I am just lucky with my work I travel lots so get to fish at some amazing places. Just hope people keep liking my videos as I have so many more left to edit up. Regards Peter

    Has this lake been made larger as on website says 12 and half acres and the guy said 8??? Looking at booking in next few months for next year, any idea of availability to fish for a week and stay on campus! Also do you no the best months it produces fish? Ta

    This was real fishing, no help from boat. Man against fish, fair fight, sporty !! Those boat fisherman can chase, drift, follow and intercept the hooked giants, were not fair fights. IGFA should have a higher category of records for STATIONARY fishing.

    • @SportquestHolidaysDestinations
      @SportquestHolidaysDestinations  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks John for your comment. I agree this is much harder work on the fishermen and maybe a separate category should be applied

    I like all the GT videos but going all the way to Thailand to cast a line in a aquarium/ pond and possibly catching a world record ? Beautiful fish but still don't know if I call that fishing. Fan of all the rest keep up the good work.

      @SportquestHolidaysDestinations  11 років тому +1

      Hi Andy, I know what you mean its not high on my list, however so many people love it and I think that fair as everyone to their own. I must admit that I do like all forms of fishing and fishing at Gillhams for the first time was great fun. Glad you liked all the other videos and thank you for taking the time to comment. You can catch these all the time at the many fishing parks in Thailand. Easy to catch , heavy tackle, to tell the truth not really sporting.
    You can't compare with the fishing you have , and the real sportsman you have in Europe.

      Some of the fish in Thailand are incredible! I've been lucky enough to catch some Redtail Catfish, Pacu and Mekongs before - they certainly knew how to fight. Hope you've been catching a few. 😊

    A great Video and well presented and filmed except for the stupid dubbed in loud music and bird sounds that come on every time something interesting is said. Those fishing lakes are tranquil and pleasant there is no music and certainly no Amazon birds sitting behind a microphone on a PA system, leave them out next time and you have me hooked!!!

      Norfolkc still need to go out with all your tackle, or buy it all out they’re and risk not catching anything big or special. Or go to gillhams where they give you the right bait the good rods and the good techniques. You don’t learn that from going to the local river in bangkok

    I can appreciate wanting to return them to the water unharmed, but is such excessive TLC really necessary? I mean we're talking cats here right? I bet you could literally chuck it in the bushes, take a thirty minute lunch break, come back and brush off the ants before putting it back in the lake and it would still be just fine.

    • @SportquestHolidaysDestinations
      @SportquestHolidaysDestinations  7 років тому +1

      Just think if you have enjoyed catching them what harm is there showing them some respect. Also this water is a commercial water so the fish are very valuable and they wish to take extremely good care of their fish.
      Cheers peter

    • @Sporkmaker5150
      @Sporkmaker5150 7 років тому

      None whatsoever, I was only coming up with an extreme example. It's just that the return procedure seems a bit OCD considering that if they're anything like their North American counterparts they're a nearly indestructible fish.
