Oh, also, there are 2 kinds of egg tarts in Hong Kong. There is the cookie like crust and also a more flakey like crust. The flakey like crust is more closer resemblance to the one from Macau and my favourite. Each bakery is also different in their recipe by a little so I like to try lots and lots. The Pineapple bun you bought is definitely not the one people are referring it. It's normally round for a start, and you can get it at the place where you got your Hong Kong breakfast, and it will come with a thick piece of butter in the middle.

The pineapple bun is usually a round one with crunchy topping, instead of a stick-like one you ate. The best place to taste it should be at a Hong Kong style restaurant, with a piece of cold butter embedded in a warm bun, better still with a cup of milk tea.

Agreed! The construction style did sound a bit dicey and like it may not last a very long time BUT I completely agree, if they had restored it or made a replica of sorts I think it would be wildly popular with tourists! I saw they had built a small one in Japan as an arcade, it looked pretty interesting, but it closed down a few years ago.

@@jstussyer hahaha well we are very lucky that we have a pretty flexible budget and enough saved for scenarios like this! 😆 BUT we got even more lucky that when I asked the airbnb host very nicely for a refund on the nights we didn’t use, they happily agreed. Plus the hotel and airbnb were basically the same price when you added in the hotels generous long stay discount, which we just made the cutoff for! I think all said and done it was about $100 USD out of pocket. Not too bad!
Expensive of living cost in Hong Kong, if travellers come , hotel is a better choice 😅. Transport is excellent for everyone although somethimes many people
We didn’t want to make a huge fuss, but we probably should have. 11pm, 1am, 3am, 7am, 10am… so on and so forth… I’m not sure those people ever slept? 🤣
The Walled City was self-ruled as a way of not being under the persecution of the British. Crime entered the City when British opium became out of control.
@IfWeGoTo they initially paid for the tea, silk and pottery with gold and silver. They became greedy and forced the locals to "trade" in the exchange of drugs. They shipped the opium over from India under their own East Indian Company. The history is fascinating and sad at the same time. However, not many people care about the past.

@@IfWeGoTo I'm not sure. Like you say, it's just some bun you can put stuff in. I suspect because most people know what they're getting anyway, the bakery just didn't bother with the labels after shifting the trays

They are so cute!
never watched a video of the traveler transfer from BNB to a 5 star hotel . Guess you used up the budget for your next trip? 🤣
@@jstussyer hahaha well we are very lucky that we have a pretty flexible budget and enough saved for scenarios like this! 😆
BUT we got even more lucky that when I asked the airbnb host very nicely for a refund on the nights we didn’t use, they happily agreed. Plus the hotel and airbnb were basically the same price when you added in the hotels generous long stay discount, which we just made the cutoff for!
I think all said and done it was about $100 USD out of pocket. Not too bad!
As a Hong Kong person, i would say Hong Kong people dont go to Wong Tai Sin at all. If you dont have much time, i would highly recommend skip it.
Thank you for your tips!!
You can call the police if the construction continues after 7pm
🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰
Haha I knew you’d be here!! Hope you’re enjoying Japan!!!
@@IfWeGoTo hehe thank you 🙏🇯🇵🙏
Expensive of living cost in Hong Kong, if travellers come , hotel is a better choice 😅. Transport is excellent for everyone although somethimes many people
Agreed!!!
bucket list用遺願翻譯是錯誤的,用心願較正確吧。
哦,谷歌自动将标题从英文翻译过来。那么“愿望清单”IT 部门会是中文吗?
@IfWeGoTo 願望清單是可以的。
遺願英文是「will」,somebody's will before he die.
that's why snooker GOAT moves to Hong Kong, but you have to be very rich first in order to be a migrant here.
What is a snooker GOAT?
@@IfWeGoTo Snooker Greatest of All Time - Ronnie O'Sullivan obtained his residency in Hong Kong !
It is illegal to make noise from 11pm to 7am. You can call the police.
That makes sense!! It seems like the British really had a lot of influence over Hong Kong with their tea/opium troubles 😩
You're doing a fantastic job! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
No clue how, sorry!!
That's not a pinapple bun. The pinapple bun is the ones on the bottom left 16:10
It said it was... we were so disappointed!! Do you know what we got actually is?
@@IfWeGoTo I'm not sure. Like you say, it's just some bun you can put stuff in. I suspect because most people know what they're getting anyway, the bakery just didn't bother with the labels after shifting the trays
@@NelsonChan Ohh that makes perfect sense hahaha. Oh well! We did not film it, but we did find an AMAZING pineapple bun spot in Mong Kok!
Construction work only 9-6 on weekday only under the law u should call the police
Yeah we probably should have!! This person was at it literally all day and night… I don’t think they slept 🤣

u used the wrong flag
Is it not the Hong Kong flag?
@@IfWeGoTo thats an outdated flag. u should just use the chinese flag instead. except that however, great job!
@voidpasklfd1 we saw it hanging all over the city, so I figure they’re still using it!
Thanks!
