I like the fact that they are all running a gritty crime drama…. Apart from Sully who seems to have wandered in from a goofy sitcom, silly accent and all.

The instant shock on the faces of Adam and Sully after Rosie casually slips in the "I slept with Badge" line at the end of the scene. One of the funniest moments in Board Game Club history.

I love the idea of that cops and robbers game happening when Tom and Adam's characters are only like 6. Especially with the whole, "shoot him in the knee and beat him with a phone book" bit.
People aren't giving Walter Wheresmyson enough praise, the animal control guy just trying to get rid of a couple hundred feral cats
Can't even name a favorite plot twist, that's how good this is. From the imaginary gun wound, Rosie buying a cop car to drive her triplets to work, the affair reveal, the johnson-jonson on the job speech, to whatever the hell that Walter's plotline of dumping 100 ravenous feral cats off a cliff... peak roleplaying experience!
“I gave up the badge, I gave up the holster, but I cannot give up on being Badge Holster.” Adam, did you pick that name just so you could use that line?
I feel like we're seeing another side to Tom here and it's great. He's really in his element! Plus having a limp from being shot by an imaginary gun popped me.

This is the magic of role-playing games: despite all the ridiculousness cracking me up, when Adam (I mean, Badge) yelled "TAKE THE CATS!" I actually teared up.

Just discovered this! It’s actually ridiculous how often Rosie made me gasp. I don’t understand it, I never react like that when I’m watching TV but Rosie telling Jensen he had her, saying she slept with Badge, and offering to do the job for Franklin (and there were so many other gut punching Rosie lines) all had me shook.
Not to take away from anyone else of course, everyone had lines that had me in stitches or tearing up. Why is this so compelling?? I can’t watch ep 2 til tomorrow but for the love of god someone better protect Janice!
The unbelievable switch from absolute spit my drink out with laughter at the 'Ducatti bandits' to genuine tears in my eyes when Jensen asks what else is there in a town like this for someone like me, and Janice says 'me' was incredible. One of my favourite videos to date!
"What's is there in this town for a guy like me?" "Me." -- WOW! That was great dialogue.

Cannot wait for Part 2, Fiasco games are always amazing, and this is no exception! I feel kinda bad for Sully though, the only scenes he got were the ones he established on his turn, I hope he didn't feel too left out.

I love Fiasco so much. My favourite setting is the London Gangster set which turns your game from Coen Brothers to Guy Ritchie. One of my favourite games I played in revolved around a teenage brother and sister competing to sell cocaine to their schoolmates, getting mixed up with proper gangsters, and a comical swapping back and forth of a real handgun and an exact replica that fired water
I was GENUINELY on the edge of my seat through this story.
And Rosie's little jab at the end of her chat w/Laurie - "I with ". Absolute chef's kiss of a strike.
Completely off-topic but I've heard D&D mentioned in a few different episodes now, can we hope for a No Rolls Barred D&D series? Absolutely loved Fiasco though, great group for it, look forward to another part!

Oh good lord how have I not found this sooner. I now understand why mi abuelita watches all her Spanish novelas. This is essentially it, just throw in some dramatic royalty free violen music and someone getting slapped and that's a Spanish hit.
Watching this made me want to see a No Rolls Barred D&D game. Whether it’s a mini campaign or a one shot, I need to see the chaos that ensues.

The implication that the murder Janice and Badge were investigating happened right outside the Johnson-Jonson wedding venue.

Any Waking Titan-esque experience with this community is worth anything. That was a blast!
There were some genuine fun tense in-scene moments. Kudos especially to Rosie, she's been a lot of fun to watch.

I love this game so much! I played it at a con once and it was Las Vegas themed game. My character was "Wayne Newton" and by the end it was "Wayne Newton?" and he'd committed a triple homicide. It escalates quickly! 😄

As someone who has been going through some hard relationship issues recently, that divorce role play really hit me hard. Well done to Laurie and Rosie, was really powerful stuff.
I really loved this. For those that are able, the Patreon version is very much worth the extra time and money to see. It’s been a while since I laughed so hard but was still so drawn into a story.
I'm not going to lie...this was bloody amazing! And this was only Part 1!? I'm really looking forward to Part 2. Keep up the great work!

Holy Hekk! Have all you guys taken acting/improv training? The story is so gripping, the character work so deep , the dots being connected. We should have a NRB/WTTV Cinematic Universe. This 75 min episode had more character motivation/work than 2.0 is ever gonna have in its entire run. Can't wait for Saturday

Watching them act this out was a joy, especially Rosie who must be the ideal Fiasco player!

I played Ten Candles after Adam recommended it in one of the NRB lists. Super great game. I have never played Fiasco but I think you’re right that Ten Candles would be a hit with the NRB gang.
as an improviser i just love this to bits
I've seen quite a few Fiasco games, and they invariably bring out the best acting in people, even someone like me who has no acting or improve experience. But then when you gather together five incredibly talented people like this the power of the game really shines. I would subscribe to a show entirely consisting of games of Fiasco.

Wow! This is beyond what I could have imagined, I say you need a second day with a long term RPG series going on!
Fiasco is one of my favorite games of all times and while I'm not sure I prefere this over the version I have played with dice and handing over of the result dice during the first round, it's still a blast to watch yall play!

got to admit i enjoyed that way more than i thought (really dont get RPGs) you can really see how much ethusiasim Tom has towards this sort of game which is nice to see.

And then it happened again when he tried to convince Adam to make a sex tape. I don't know what I've done to deserve such humor in my life, but goddamn, you guys earned another Patreon sub.
