Hehe! I thought about trying to finish it out for an event next month but it's just a bit too much painting as I still don't have a painted elephant. Once I get that, I'll buckle down and close it out!
My tip for this: blutac your shields on. 1. You need some Bostik BluTack or equivalent product. Stain it black by colouring it with a permanent marker, folding in the pigment, and repeating until dark enough not to draw the eye. 2. Use a 3mm ball of this to attach your shields, instead of super glue. One advantage is that if a shield ever falls off, you can just stick it back on again with the same bit of BluTack. But specific to this video, you can have one set of models with multiple sets of shields, and swap the shields to make them look like different factions.
Ooo, nice! I've often pondered some interchangeable figures/options (especially horses that can swap riders in and out) but since that requires more planning up front (and potentially finnicky things) I always just drop it and say to myself that I'll do it next time!
I'm delighted to hear you're halfway to a Numidian flying circus! A warband like no other.
