  • Had took a day off on Monday, had access to my brother's car... so what better way then to go crawling by myself! Lol
    Went to 2 locations: First part was some muddy action and the second was some challenging rock terrain.
    Also tried doing following shots with a gimbal while controlling and man.... I can ya it ain't easy at all (as you can see I had a hard time keeping in frame!)
    Changes made to my Gen7: Part 1 I was running on 3S lipo and though I like the increased power, it was more difficult to feather the throttle at slow speed. Part 2 I went back to 2S lipo.
    Also used shrink wrap to cover the driveshaft connections and they held up well!
    Check out our Singapore RC crawling group Trail Seekers on Facebook! More links to videos of our weekly adventures in there!

    No Bugs Were Harmed in the filming of this run. Gen 7 Pro is awesome. Just picked one up this past Sunday. Very happy with this rig overall! Redcat knocked it out of the park with this one.

      No issues, I've seen how some guys bend the rod to clear the diff, is that what you mean?
      It came with a curved rod, it clears the diff, I will trim the fenders just a bit, looks like there's a clearance issue there

    Awesome video and rig only thing that kills the gen imo is the huge diffs like the e10 😔 otherwise they look great!
    hows it holding up over time and what mods have you done?

    • @tomssss
      @tomssss  6 років тому +2

      TJ the rc Guy Hi! Yeah the huge pumpkin is a pain in the ass but overall, the Gen7 is holding up well.
      Right now it's got the high steer knuckles, metal c-hubs, a more powerful metal gear servo with metal horn, aluminium driveshafts from redcat and still have weights at front and rear axles. Now waiting on metal transmission gears and I think this gen7 will be bulletproof lol

    looked into these really hard but looking at the amazon reviews, they have lots that arrive with broken links and several had broken the steering knuckles on their first outing. Too many stories for me to buy but the people that have them that didn't break, man what a bargain.

    • @tomssss
      @tomssss  5 років тому

      jackalo626 well can't say much about those arrived with broken links, but those broke after first outing I believe it has got to do with how they play with them. I've seen vids of ppl getting real rough with their cars and am not surprised those stock plastics won't last long under such handling.
      Anyway, get the metal upgrades, they are really worth it

    tempted to get one myself. cant decide whether to go Pro or the basic Sport.... May I know where can I get these in SG besides online ?

    • @tomssss
      @tomssss  6 років тому

      Zul Hamzah hi Zul! At the moment I don't think you can get it locally, i got mine from Atees. If you're are first timer buyer in Atees, you can use a promo voucher that's worth I think 10 or 15% discount. There are many videos on the Sport and the Pro that can help you decide, I choose the Pro because it has the metal diff lockers and internal hinged roll cage. The Sport will be lighter and probably more fun to bash around. :)

    • @zqistpvd
      @zqistpvd 6 років тому

      TOMS ahhh yes! 10-15% is a big deal for me. HAHAHA 'budget stranded' for a fun hobby. heheeee hope to trail soon together IF i ever get one. hehehe

      Jake Smith Hi! The stock 3000mah battery last me for about an hour. I recommend using lipo instead, a 5000mah can last me a few hours. Get those banana plug to deans adapters :)

    • @tomssss
      @tomssss  6 років тому

    • @puchie357
      @puchie357 6 років тому

      puchie357 fully waterproof! Both receiver and esc. Been in the dunk numerous times with no problems. Just remember to wash away with clean water and dry (naturally or with air can)
