You probably dont care but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of days xD
100% happy with mine. 4 or 5 months of hard use, bent a front axle due to misuse. What amazes me is that the tires still look almost new. And climb like a Billy goat.
I am truly impressed with the Redcat performance against rc's costing x2 as much. Not only does it fit my budget but it's going to allow me to have a different kind of fun. Thanks for all you do with your experiments and sharing. Happy New Year!!
I have broken every part of the driveline on mine all upgraded to metal and the body on mine is absolutely destroyed. In 2020 I would recommend getting the gen 8 pack get a very solid truck and you can choose your electronics.
I just purchased the redcat blackout pro and I love it,but after watching the gen 7 pro,I'm seriously thinking of buying one of them as well! I'm new to this hobby but I think it's gonna be more like an addiction!! Great, fun video guys! Thanks for sharing!!
I have a awesome RedCat Gen7 full of led upgrades custom fit bolted roof rack with lowered kc led blue customs rear and custom enamel paint job trucks amazing I have a lot of content about it I really enjoyed this video those scampers perform good in any environment
i still love the gen 7, you can just have fun, with a low initial investment, rc4wd, vanquish, just too scared to even let it flip or crash.... gen 7 is almost a basher... lol... nice vid..
I have the exact one and got it on tsl boggers and got a crawler motor in it and goes literally anywhere. Also got a square body on it not the stock shell
This vid looked a lot of fun to make 👀 just wondering when this 1 will be driven in the December drive all, presuming you still have it? Really wondering what you’ve done to it now? What you had issues with? Known weaknesses etc
This is why it’s good for people on a budget. You can run them til they brake and just upgrade when you can afford it. If you don’t bash it it can last a bit
I just got the black pro a 7 light bar 2.2 proline flat irons and the king piggybacks with a venom 2s 6500mah pack and it destroys my SCX10 scorpion with the Novak brushless system with dig I love new Redcat stuff I also got the redcat tr-MT8E be6s best basher I have ever owned and I have 27 racers, basher's and crawler's. I love the smasher vid guy's😎.
Hi, ExoCaged; looking for an all-around capable trail truck with a slipper clutch tha can take a mild brushless.. Climb a little, throw rocks a little, some scale jumps, just everything the trail throws at you, and can do it all without shredding the drivetrain. Any suggestions? Looking at the RedcatGen7, Carisma crawler, Kyosho Outlaw(love this one), or any another that fits the bill.. Thanks in advance👍
The Gen7 is a very good truck but no slipper. I haven’t messed with the Charisma or the Kyosho but from what I have driven I’d have to say the Traxxas TRX4 would fit the bill. Mine has been super tough, reliable and has taken big brushless power. Take a look at my Trx videos and you’ll see it’s a tough truck. It’s driven on water, done 44mph and been comped many times.
Exocaged RC Agree about the TRX; and the new old-school 70's shell looks great, and much lighter than the first release stocker.. I have seen peeps super-overpowering the TRX; have yet to hear about long term reliability vs brushless.
did you mod the Rx or made a waterproof box for it? Normaly when i see people submerge their rc truck they usually plastidip the shit out of them. Just bought a Axial Wraith 1.9 and wondering about getting a redcat everest gen 7 sport or pro so i have a 2nd crawler.
I took my gen7 twice in the water and now it doesn't want to run anymore do you have any suggestions how to fix this problem or where to identify the problem that is damaged I have no clue what could have gone out nothing is working turns on but nothing works
Now that all these 500 dollar rc crawlers are out, I look at the gen7 like a deal so good you gotta be dumb to pass it if ur in the market for a 1/10 rc.
I'm near ocala. Florida and recently lost my left leg below the knee and wanna find wheelchair friendly places to take my redcat gen7 pro to do some wheeling. Any suggestions?
Mad late but dude! Build a sweet indoor course if you have a basement, Or build a nice outdoor. Stack up some rocks and stuff maybe dig a mudhole and boom.
Depends. If you want a nicer truck for trails and hanging with buddies get the pro. If you want one for competition get the sport. The pro has metal diff spools, cva axles, metal body shocks, fender flares, wheel wells, memory foams ( I don’t like memory foams ) and the scale items. For many it’s worth it to get the pro. The biggest downfall of the sport are the plastic spools but the pro parts go right in.
That's unbelievable. I just bought one and stripped the transmission within 4 minutes just driving in a straight line in the grass, guess I've just got bad luck
I don’t know, steel trans gears are supposed to be under $20 and the pro cvd’s are supposed to be around $16. Those in addition to the pro diff spools I have will be the end of my mods for this truck.
Ive got pro version, fried 3three hexfly metalgear servos in 2months. Jus installed savox servo; spent $140plus on servos...i do enjoy the speed though
The top weight was the #1 reason I went with the sport. You can take everything off the top to help, especially the tire as that’s the heaviest thing there.
bought the pro version and out of the box, 3 shocks were leaking, motor is loud and kinda annoying and now its for sale, ended up getting an Axial instead, such a better and more fun rig, the redcats are definitely a pay what you get type rc, cheap = not good
It’s waterproof on the esc, receiver and servo as we tested that. The motor is standard issue brushed and all the bearings are metal shielded so they will get water in them and mess up.
This was the most entertaining crawling video I've ever seen on UA-cam! Great job man! Give more of this. It was fun to watch. Stay cool
You probably dont care but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of days xD
@Colt Emory Yup, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since november myself =)
100% happy with mine. 4 or 5 months of hard use, bent a front axle due to misuse. What amazes me is that the tires still look almost new. And climb like a Billy goat.
Do you have the pro version ? Are they waterproof like can they go in water for a bit?
One of the best offroad rc videos ibe seen in foreverrr
I like the more enthusiastic style you've come out with!!
I am truly impressed with the Redcat performance against rc's costing x2 as much. Not only does it fit my budget but it's going to allow me to have a different kind of fun. Thanks for all you do with your experiments and sharing. Happy New Year!!
awesome bud, happy new years to you too
Wow now that was a True test of product!! Nice job solid truck by Redcat
Yeah I was surprised we had no failures. I’ll be testing on rocks tomorrow.
I have broken every part of the driveline on mine all upgraded to metal and the body on mine is absolutely destroyed. In 2020 I would recommend getting the gen 8 pack get a very solid truck and you can choose your electronics.

I have a awesome RedCat Gen7 full of led upgrades custom fit bolted roof rack with lowered kc led blue customs rear and custom enamel paint job trucks amazing I have a lot of content about it I really enjoyed this video those scampers perform good in any environment
Wow those can they can beating for sure. Definitely would be good for my kids
i still love the gen 7, you can just have fun, with a low initial investment, rc4wd, vanquish, just too scared to even let it flip or crash.... gen 7 is almost a basher... lol... nice vid..
Seriously great fun video & a great insight on their capabilities.
Thank for uploading it 👍👍
This video still good in 2020
I love my redcat gen 7
My first crawler :)
oh heck yeah I watch it sometimes myself just to laugh at how we just didn't care lol
Exocaged RC what website should i buy one from?
Is water not bad for them?
Was that all stock on the redcat if so what kind of run time did you get. Thanks
After watching a couple of your videos, I like the looks of this rig!!! It looks like a great time waiting to happen ;)
I finally got mine in today and after going through it checking that everything was tight, I switched it to lipo. ..OMG this thing rips on the lipo 👍
I’ve run 3S on mine for a little bit but I keep it on 2S now and it does fine.
Does it come water proof ??????
Great video, I just ordered the Gen7 Sport and it's really cool to see that it is very capable on the trail. Subbed :)
Awesome. Thank you.
I have the exact one and got it on tsl boggers and got a crawler motor in it and goes literally anywhere. Also got a square body on it not the stock shell
Pretty impressive. My friend just dropped over $700 on a scx 10 III with a brushless conversion. Way out of my price range!
"what do you do about that?"
"i dunno yet"
lollll
I've got the silver one , it's tuff and highly upgradeable
Yup, I have a new transmission, drive shafts, servo, new pinion gear, tires, links, and bumpers. As well as my homemade flatbed
Joe and I ran these trucks years ago. And people still come up to us and tell us,. its become of this video they bought the gen7's LOL
This is the best video ever!
Those are sure capable thanks for the video.
Awesome but man if mine even gets a splash it quits working you turn it off back on it beeps three times for the 3s and it just does nothing
The big pileup was 😁 funny.
Reminded me of a pile of rats.👍👍
That’s some sweet terrain
Haha..great video!!! Way to go redcat!!!
This vid looked a lot of fun to make 👀 just wondering when this 1 will be driven in the December drive all, presuming you still have it? Really wondering what you’ve done to it now? What you had issues with? Known weaknesses etc
For the price I'm definitely going to get one of these just to have around
This is why it’s good for people on a budget. You can run them til they brake and just upgrade when you can afford it. If you don’t bash it it can last a bit
That looks like a really nice place to go crawling
I just got the black pro a 7 light bar 2.2 proline flat irons and the king piggybacks with a venom 2s 6500mah pack and it destroys my SCX10 scorpion with the Novak brushless system with dig I love new Redcat stuff I also got the redcat tr-MT8E be6s best basher I have ever owned and I have 27 racers, basher's and crawler's. I love the smasher vid guy's😎.
You changed out the stock aluminum bodied shocks? If so I may be interested in them.
Awesome crawling video 👍
I’m getting one this Christmas
Eyyy
Me to
how far do you guys like it??!
@@alex3I4_ a lot
Nice fun day. Great Crawling action...Swamp gas lol.. MacGyver talking there..Just aired my upgrade video starting on the Gen7pro.
Testing on rocks tomorrow. See if those plastic lockers and motor hold up.
Swamp Gas is real, saw it in Labyrinth and The Princess Bride...
are these fully stock because I’m thinking about getting one ??
yeah 100% box stock
A bit of madness, i like it))
Роман Ворончихин I love the madness
Hi, ExoCaged; looking for an all-around capable trail truck with a slipper clutch tha can take a mild brushless..

I have seen peeps super-overpowering the TRX; have yet to hear about long term reliability vs brushless.
Well, I know I've overpowered mine a lot and not one mechanical failure at all.
having a lot of fun here.
Just got one today was looking to see its capabilities thanks :)
did you mod the Rx or made a waterproof box for it?
Normaly when i see people submerge their rc truck they usually plastidip the shit out of them.
Just bought a Axial Wraith 1.9 and wondering about getting a redcat everest gen 7 sport or pro so i have a 2nd crawler.
Thinking about this rig for my 5 year old... or the ecx barrage
Get the Gen7. Super tough take a look at my other Gen7 videos, its a tough truck with cheap replacement parts.
Wow, the gen 7 could do things that the traxxas could not, I guess I made up my mind about which rock crawler I will be getting.
RED apple take a look at my other two videos. $1k trx vs $1k Axial vs Redcat Gen7. It’s a very competent truck.
So was this totally stock out of the box this actual review What battery were you running
I took my gen7 twice in the water and now it doesn't want to run anymore do you have any suggestions how to fix this problem or where to identify the problem that is damaged I have no clue what could have gone out nothing is working turns on but nothing works
Probably messed up the motor if you didn’t clean it out and oil it.
Maybe locked up bearings too.
Great video!
Did you do any waterproofing to them
Now that all these 500 dollar rc crawlers are out, I look at the gen7 like a deal so good you gotta be dumb to pass it if ur in the market for a 1/10 rc.
were the redcats stock during this video
are these trucks fully waterproof or did you have to do something to submerged them in water?
How does that thing still work even going under water
we don't know but they didn't die lol
Great video, definitely put the Gen7 sport to the test and looks like it passes 👍
Oh man I love my Gen7 sport. I’ll be getting another in a week or two for a Brushless powered portal axle mud truck build.
Exocaged RC looking forward to seeing it on another Great Video 👍
That nasty ass Florida water LOL you need to let your GEN seven know to watch out for water moccasins 🤣
lol
That orange shirt you are wearing in the beginning...is that a First Coast Bashers t-shirt?! Jax! I used to be on those forums some!
Yep sure is!
awesome truck!!! any problems going from nimh to lipo and back?
I ran the nimh just to try it and it wasn't even close so its on lipo for ever now. But there is a jumper that you can switch for either type battery
What size is the volt, and cell lipo? Also is it a 2s or 3?
How waterproof are these?
also I enjoyed this video... looked fun!
It was. LoL. We drove like we didn’t care.
I would say those look tough as hell
its an awesome truck
Looks like they have great wheel speed.
I want to bring my RedCat Gen7 out to play with you guys all kinds of sick TERRAIN :0
well that was surprising.. that humble pie is a bit sour. But we still have a couple months to really tell.
Yep I was expecting total failure on the first climb. I just don’t know if the stock motor has enough power to break it. It gets on rocks tomorrow.
I'm near ocala. Florida and recently lost my left leg below the knee and wanna find wheelchair friendly places to take my redcat gen7 pro to do some wheeling. Any suggestions?
thats a hard question to answer, have you tried to go to RRW?
Mad late but dude! Build a sweet indoor course if you have a basement, Or build a nice outdoor. Stack up some rocks and stuff maybe dig a mudhole and boom.
Hey Man. New Sub here. Did you have to do any waterproofing or does it come waterproof already?
Freakin epic bro!!!
I JUS PURCHASED THE SAME EXACT ONE AND EVERYTIME I GO FULL THROTTLE IT DIPS TO THE BACK LEFT U KNOW HOW TO ADJUST EM TO BE EVEN
thanks question
How long does it take to charge the battery?
How long is the battery?
Using the stock battery could take 45 minutes to an hour or longer. I use lipo batteries and they charge faster and run longer
Looking to buy one and it looks pretty durable. World the pro be a better buy?
Would***
That's unbelievable. I just bought one and stripped the transmission within 4 minutes just driving in a straight line in the grass, guess I've just got bad luck
Fantastic👍👍👍👍
Where did you buy them at
Got mine from my local dealer Jax RC Recycle and Repair. Want a link to his Facebook group?
Looked at a crawling vid and see a demolition derby🤣 for the price pretty darn fun
Sexy
Looks like a pretty fun rig! I love the overall price tag, but the parts are double the cost vs the bigger brand names... :(
I don’t know, steel trans gears are supposed to be under $20 and the pro cvd’s are supposed to be around $16. Those in addition to the pro diff spools I have will be the end of my mods for this truck.
Exocaged RC, wow maybe I should stop living in the past and take a serious look into this one. Thanks for the heads up!!!
The trucks seem to be a legit entry into the scaler world.
Exocaged RC, are you going brushless anytime soon? 😈
^^^3S^^^ 😈
How fast dose it go
Was this waterproof straight out of the box
Yep all of these were fresh out of the box.
yeah I definitely need a pro version
im thinking about buying one does it come waterproofed already
QuadBoss67 the receiver isn't
Feel free to watch my video about what happened to me with it
Cal H. Ok thanks I got one like a week ago it is very nice
is it all stock?
What is the easiest way to make these waterproof?
Open the box and drive it. Seriously these were fresh out of the box with no mods at all.
What Batterys are you running in the Everest?
We were all running 2S lipos of various brands.
Thanks Badass !!!!!!!
I got traxxas revo 3.3 we should go climbing lolgood video i think imma buy one
You guys just cost me $250 lmao . I just ordered the pro version
LoL it’s a great truck bud.
I just got this it’s Sweet
Did your tires drop water for days!
nope, I took them apart and washed and dried the foams out, they will deteriorate fast if left wet.
did you do anything to the reciver or is it waterproof
We unboxed them and took them for a drive, none of us touched the receivers or anything before they hit the water.
Top speed?
It looked like you had a 79 ford bronco body on one of your rcs behind you. Can you please tell me where you found that?
That was on a TRX4. I’m not sure where he got it.
Hi did you end up testing the battery to see if it fits?
Yeah all my 2S batteries fit, even the big 8200mah SMC.
Sweet thanks so much
Ive got pro version, fried 3three hexfly metalgear servos in 2months. Jus installed savox servo; spent $140plus on servos...i do enjoy the speed though
Wow. The only one of our local 6 that has killed a stock servo was because it fell off the course and killed the board.
Epic
Nice job very fun looking time. I bought two Everest gen7 pro good truck but not real stable on hills good trail truck though
The top weight was the #1 reason I went with the sport. You can take everything off the top to help, especially the tire as that’s the heaviest thing there.
Exocaged RC yes sir do like the look
The pro does look better for sure. The inner fenderwells are nice.
Exocaged RC yes sir I had mine on a muddy hill and underneath stayed fairly clean
Dam. I have a pro. I love it.
Hi i live in malaysia i love to see your vedio i hope you can do a rc and rc tug o war
Stripped a few spur gear teeth on the first 5 minutes of driving mine today lol. Sad day.
bought the pro version and out of the box, 3 shocks were leaking, motor is loud and kinda annoying and now its for sale, ended up getting an Axial instead, such a better and more fun rig, the redcats are definitely a pay what you get type rc, cheap = not good
Verry verry good
2s lipos?
yep
Love it!
7:41 derby
Is it all waterproof
It’s waterproof on the esc, receiver and servo as we tested that. The motor is standard issue brushed and all the bearings are metal shielded so they will get water in them and mess up.
Lucas racing makes a bearing grease calls red and and tacky I believe and I run it on my mud truck as well as my RC trucks to keep the bearings good
?
