- Firstly thank you for organisers at Epsom CC and all who were cheering on the roadside! Special thanks to Paul who went flying past and made me feel very slow...thanks for that!! 😉 (joking)
As said in the beginning, I don't usually race or ride in the evening, but have clearly lost out as at least the evening was just superb.
Light wind, light traffic and perfect temperature!
About my performance. I didn't know what to expect as I hadn't been riding up Box Hill since 2018, but overall numbers were ok 354w with average heart rate of 154 wasn't too bad.
Also it was super nice to visit Destination Bike in the Village! Great staff and great shop. Is it time for a +N1 yet?
Next race at @GoodwoodRR on 11/08/24 and I can't wait!!

The first bit b4 the first hairpin I found hard on legs
@@Bonjanglesclubsinger indeed that is the steepest bit on the course. I decided to roll it up with high cadence but not accelerating anywhere. After the first hairpin it’s kind of easy as all you need to do is to roll

The best warm up would've been to have ridden there, and then done a practice.

@@br5380 indeed but I’m bit lazy and I don’t usually ride or race in the evenings so found even that hard that I needed to drive there, but super happy I did it and thanks to organisers.

It’s a shame these events are so poorly attended, when I completed in the 90’s we would have 50+ entrants in the evening TT’s , yet you see so many wkend warriors out need to get them signed up to a club & competing 😆😆
It really is. I have not been racing this year many times (this was my second race) and I was thinking we have good amount people of racing, but they said it was well down. They used to have 40/50 people which has now halved... Well I hope we still have races to go to in the near future
