    Brilliant video….I did smile …Glen Etive….oh my , back in 1975, on a caravan holiday in Glencoe, I was 13 then, well there is or was a hotel near to the turn off down to Loch Etive…while driving, a man on the side of that small road waived my father and mother down, they stopped, he asked them if they would give him a lift to his home….right down to the loch….some distance…they agreed, but when they got to his house, he asked for them to wait….he popped into his house..then came out again, then asked if my folks could give him a lift back to the hotel, pub up on the main Glen Coe road…..stupidly they did…..he really did smell of Whiskey…..so back up that narrow long road to the hotel…..only to find once we got there the hotel pub side was closed……guess what, he asked for a lift back down to his house…yep my folks were too polite…so off we went again and took him back home….so yep I know that little road very well, hardly changed in nearly 50 years…..hehe…beautiful place….love your journey and great hints on road positions as well…thanks for sharing…

    Dear Phil!
    I saw Scotland by Motorcycle - My solo motorcycle trip to The Scottish Highlands and enjoyed every minute of it, I am sure glad finding it and getting familiar with your channel.
    You are absolutely a talent man and I believe there is nothing wrong mixing business and pleasure together.
    I visited Scotland a few years ago and really enjoyed the scenery but unfortunately done it by car. (I am still young maybe one day)
    I had the Suzuki GSR 750 which was the old generation of the GSXS 750 and truly this bike made me fall in love again in riding.
    So you are not only a very talent photographer but also clever by choosing the right bike ;-)
    The only problem I had watching your video was trying to listen to what you are saying,
    The music you combine is lovely but maybe too loud? I do not know if the fact that I am getting old or that English is not my native language or maybe my hearing is not as it was or probably everything together which made it difficult to hear your voice.
    Anyhow keep on doing what you love it seem that way from your work.
    All the best
    Ami ALMOG

    Been parked on the Skyfall Glen Etive site right where the Aston was and Bond and M - it hadto be done and luckily I did it before it was known or popular so the moss on the stones were almost exact match. Applecross pass I’ve done many times in the Car on road trips with friends any day is great but it’s a bit special under blue sky along with the coastal road after and even more fun when you have someone in the group that hasn’t done it before. Fort William to Skye not taking the Malaig ferry is stunning also. Pushing on following the West Coast past Ullapool and onto Durness just gets better and better.

    Since the art of photography lies in composition, you wouldn't take a photo facing directly into the sun, the result would be a washout. So why on earth in the video, would you drown out your voice with overbearing music?

    • @TheAdventuresofPhilJones
      @TheAdventuresofPhilJones  3 роки тому

      Thanks for your feedback. I hope to be creating a video soon about photography and breaking the rules which includes shooting into the sun, so watch this space. Point taken about the sound mix, it’s a learning curve for me and hopefully the mix was much better on parts two and three. I’m sorry it ruined your viewing.

    • @michaellilley6725
      @michaellilley6725 3 роки тому +1

      @@TheAdventuresofPhilJones Thank you for your respectful reply, the music was toned down slightly in parts 2+3, though still drowning you out in parts. I realised after I said it that certain shots require to be taken into the sun, but I think you know what I meant. I did enjoy your images, even the iPhone took some pretty good shots. The GoPro on your chest also offered some great footage, I may try that, as I'm toying with shooting similar scenes. I've had to mount mine on the side of my helmet due to air vents on the front, the side of my helmet appears in shot and head movement ( life savers) are rather jerky. Was it you who previously did videos on a Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport? I watched them before buying one myself, now plan to replace it with a ZZ-R 1400. Sadly I suspect lockdown has restricted your ambitions, I do hope you get another opportunity soon. I much preferred to hear the raw sound of the bike. All the best for future trips, hopefully we'll get the freedom to explore when the better weather comes.
