I live in Britain and I've never driven or ridden on the European continent but this has really given me the encouragement to look at it. My fiancé and I want to go to Scandinavia so we might look at touring on the bike. Thank you for giving us the push to start the journey!

The ferries are subsidized. Most are free, even if you drive a big RV. (All small, isolated islands have a free ferry) For example the ferry from Bodø to Røst that takes 4 hours.
