Look back just a couple videos in my channel, full breakdown of my KLR! Only thing I forgot to mention in that video is the Eagle Mike drill through sub frame bolt!
I searched adventure trails in florida and scrolled through, yours stood out cause you ride the same bike had to check out your video. Keep doing what your doing, could you share these routes with me or lead me to find them
Thanks for sharing, it's a good video. Got a place in Mexico Beach, I know all about the damage from Hrcne Michael. Can't go wrong with a KLR. Used to have one and riding a Super Tenere now. I'll be in that area riding for. Few days in 2 weeks time. How's the sand on these trails? I hate sand, so I'd prefer to dodge it if possible.
The sand in Econfina WMA can get bad, especially since we have had so little rain. I too hate sand so your best bet is to avoid Econfina Creek WMA. But the rest of the area is mostly gravel roads.
Those tires are Tusk Dsports. They still struggle in the sand. I have a set of Dunlop 80/20, can't remember the model, mostly a street tire, I managed in the sand with them, if you have 60/40 you should be fine.
@@everymanadventures9285 We have spent alot of time on Hammock Lake, or its also called Hamlin Lake, but unfortunately the road into that area has been flooded for some time now. All of the Sand Ponds have been up and really have not gone down much at all. We have camped a few times back there under the oak trees on the lake shore but that is all under water now. Seems like ever since Hurricane Michael the water levels have been up. There are a few decent campsites like South Rattlesnake Lake but not too many Doondocking sites. Choctawhatchee River WMA has a lot more camping options.
@@RedEyedJack Yeah. Unfortunately in our “neck of the woods” camping is usually by reservation only. Not much free use land available in the panhandle west of Apalachicola National Forest. Well I look forward to imputing this route into Gaia.
@@everymanadventures9285 Choctawhatchee River WMA is 57,000 acres that is open to camping all year. Gum Creek off River road is a nice quite spot, there is also about 15 miles of awesome 4x4 trails north of Westville with lots of cool spots to camp, and the Gritney area off Hwy 179 has some cool trails and lots of cool camping opportunities. I have also done alot of camping along the Florida trail and camped on the banks of the Yellow River, Blackwater River, Holmes Creek, Shoal River, Etc. All of those trips were from kayaks or hiking though.
That is normally what I do, Google Maps and GAIA maps. But some people like to just follow a route. Look how big the BDR organization has gotten. I personally like the idea of making my own routes!
My KLR is taking me around the Tallahassee area including South Georgia. Keep sharing your adventure. Setup info would be good.

Im gonna try taking my KLR out on the adventure trail ! Curious what kind of tires are you using ? You think 60/40s would I the trick ?

I'm in St Augustine the state of the complete snoozefest
When will the map be available? I live in this area and recognize some of it.
I'll make an update as soon as I have the release date. But I'd say within a few months!

I’ve spent a lot of time out in the econfina WMA. Any idea on the camping/boondocking options you may have noticed?

Just use Google Maps to create directions and we can make our own maps.
