Off topic but my gf had 3 regular plants in 3 gallon pots out back and I did an experiment. I took the worst looking one and put it in a 10 gallon pot. Within about 3 weeks the transplanted plant began exploding with growth and is still thriving while the other 2 are now dead. Whats interesting is all 3 plants stayed as wide as the pot they were in, no matter how tall they grew.
@@Brod504 they were extremely root bound, thats why I reported the one in the first place. They didn't straight up die, just had a lot of yellowing on the edges of the leaves and the repotted one bounced back like a champ once it could spread its legs. Just makes me sure that bigger pots are better. Id bet 2 10 gallon pots could fill a 4x4 canopy faster than 4 3 gallon pots and much less work. I've moved on to mycology tho now. Told my girl I'd stop smoking weed and just eat mushrooms lol
Thanks so much for these tips. This is only my 4th outdoor run here in lower Michigan. I'm getting better year by year but still learning. My plants are sucking up the water like crazy right now. I rarely watered in veg, now I soak them every other morning. I did not know about the next sign of them not drinking anymore. I'll be watching for it this year. Thanks again for the knowledge. ✌
Coco lies, pots dry as hell with plants still praying, made it easy to not water enough and get some salt build up. I decided to try hydro for the winter, watering issues solved.
I just switched back to Earthboxes and I really like them. I have 2 plants that were looking terrible, almost not savable. They were in fabric pots and I couldn't get them to be happy so I treated for bugs, just to make sure, and then I put one in an Earthbox and the other in a Patio Pickers. They're the same thing but different brand and different sizes. They make it pretty hard to over water and as long as they have water in the bottoms they'll keep the plants happy. Both plants took a week to recover and boom, they're growing like...weeds 😜

G'day it's 530 am here in Australia and I just screwed up by using a spray bottle watering till a little run of using spray bottle it soaks the soil so much more and takes at least double the amount of water before run off and I drowned 2 plants it's amazing how much more water it holds when you you do it slowly before a little run off
And here I was, thinking I was F'n-up. Makes perfect sense now. Always, and I mean always, very informative videos. Sub up folks and become a SPARTAN 💪
When reversing a plant making pollen. What does it need when the pollen sacks don’t have pollen dust in them. Did I not spray enough or not wait long enough
all my research says that if you aren't watering at least once or twice a day in coco then you aren't utilizing the medium to its fullest potential. the whole point of coco is that it's a hydro medium that allows aggressive fertigation so the plant is able to grow faster and yield more? I say this as a soil grower. i would switch to coco if i had a good auto watering system and didn't have to hand water
What about the fade of leaves. My plant stopped drinking but was very green in the leaves. Aren't they supposed to be colored before cutting? Someone please advise.
In GT Land, we chop based on trichome color. Ideally, we want to see at least 5% amber trichomes before we harvest. If your canopy is still green at that point, you might want to back off how much nitrogen you're feeding in flower in future grows.
I feed till end, plants stay green and taste great :) If you go for yield feed till end. If you dont care about last 5% you can feed only clear water in last 1-2 Weeks
Good advice. GT, please increase the volume. I can barely hear you with the volume all the way up. It's always been too quiet. The wind outside made it impossible for me to hear you inside. Thanks.

That's kinda strange
@@Brod504 well they do say as above so below so I think the plant stayed as wide as the root system
@@JohnSmith-us2ru sup ? I meant that it was strange the other two died. I should have explained my thought lol

Always nead getting back to basics. Thats exactly why I water every 2nd day. But next year I gonna use autopods. Do they work with Hesi fertilizer?

How would you translate this to autopot users? The root ball is throughout the whole pot, top roots need it also right, not just when you top dress?
Shoutout to Ricky GT!
