$250k for a new Peterbilt sounds like a terrible idea. Find a pre-emission truck, get it squared away and keep trucking.
Hes not going to buy anything man lol how many has he test drove in the past
Yup fuck that new trucks with their DEF systems
New trucks aren’t as reliable as the older iron . No emissions crap and way easier to work on too
Finding a pre emission truck getting harder to find everyday
@@w900kw2 haha...doooh
Really boosts the road experience knowing there's some dude driving an 18 wheeler with his air ride seat down in the basement and trying to act all gangsta with the lean and just barely able to see over the dash board.
Looks TOTALLY STUPID, LIKE THE MORON BEHIND THE WHEEL
I don’t think you understand how many guys drive this way.. tell me how many times you’ve seen trucks that look like this involved in crashes…. 🙄🤔
@@caseythetrucker I've got ten years experience driving 18 wheelers as a professional road driver for, at the time, the third largest trucking company in the US. I'm speaking from actual experience, not talking out my backside.
@@hobo1452 so you drive for swift and are mad because guys take pride in their ride and drive how they’re comfortable? I’ve got just as many years as you and I drive on the floor and have yet to have an accident or replace a bumper. Let’s compare driving records 🤷🏼♂️
@@caseythetrucker The problem with arguing with a fool is that they never know when to stop. You have yourself a good day there, super trucker.
My dad had a 1985 Western Star Gold Star edition with the 3406B Cat engine. It was turned up and putting out close to 500 hp. It had a muffler delete and would pump out the black smoke like no tomorrow and get at best 3 miles to the gallon. I miss those days with him. Every time I hear the sound of an old cat engine at idle or at speed it makes me reminisce on those times together. Thanks for giving me a trip down memory lane.
Good looking 359 , but that slung back and low seating would drive me up the wall.
Agreed.
Not for long haul driving, one of the most comfortable truck's to drive for those 600-800 mile days
Agreed I'd rather have the regular seating . I'd look like a 10yr old riding on the floor like that plus that's gotta be hard on the back. I'd rather ride high easier to see in my opinion but it could be that I'm too old school lol
I like how all y’all complaining about it have be the sounds of it never driven like that…. It’s comfy af
@@lockgessner I personally have no desire to drive one set up like that either. Just my opinion
I'd get a older pre-def truck with a cat motor. If it has high mileage do a in-frame service and it should be good for another million miles plus
My 2000 kw w900l has a 3406e cat with custom heavy haul tune, injectors and turbo. Pulls hard on hills at 80k 52 mph I love it
Beautiful piece of machinery, but that seating position does not do it for me LOL, how the hell can you see anything it’s beyond me😂😂😂
BOVINE LIMOSINE right there . "Nickel 9" (359) long hood dragging a" Wilson " silver star spread axle...nice sled hand .
See it got the big hole in sleeper & converted from air windshield wipers to electric ( can tell by the small aluminum washer tank mounted on driver side firewall under hood ). Both VERY smart modifications ...🐂🐂🐂🐂
you know the dudes a professional when he doesn't even look where hes going 🤣😎
That Peterbilt 359 was in Waco Texas couple years back at a truck meet!
This working 359 is such a beautiful Thing.Love it.Greetings from Germany😎🇩🇪...!
I bet your buddy Tim can find you one of those if you give him some time to look for one.
I couldnt drive it sittin that far down no way
That's one sweet 359 truck. You need one to add to your collection. You look good driving It!
Man sitting on the damn floor😂 I love it lol
That's the only way id drive an old 359 . You got the the cab and bunk opened up.......nice!
The 359 was such an awesome truck and the 2nd truck I ever drove by age 15 in '95.. The 1st was my father's '70 White-Freightliner COE that we fully restored yrs later. Then I got into the 379/X many years later as a mechanic and after being in the industry my entire life.
I’ve been loving long nose trucks since was a kid. I had a race track with all long nose trucks and loved it.
That cabover sounds amazing
Really glad you're back Bruce really enjoying your videos brother
Glad to see you back at it Bruce!!! So awesome! That 359 is such a seeeeexy looking truck! Hope the fam is doing good, your a good man Bruce, keep up the awesome content brother! Much love from central Massachusetts.
Live in Western Massachusetts myself
Man those two rigs seating side by side look killer freaking love the older rigs true trucks in my eyes .
Been trucking all my adult life. Bought a brand new 359 with a B model Cat in December of 1984. Ran it border to border and coast to coast for 10 years almost 2 million miles. Then bought a new 379 with a E model Cat….In 2000 bought a 379 with a C-15 550 hp….That one was a certified member of the “Left Lane Gang” ! When Cat stopped making truck motors we lost the….King of the road !
Your full of shi%
Exactly 💯
Lots of people saying Bruce should get a 359 here. Sure, they're certainly available. They're also at least 35 years old, with all the problems a 35 year old truck will have. Beat to death, hacked by God knows how many sketchy hands, rotted, twisted, cracked; the list of maladies is endless for the affordable ones. The cost to buy one in the condition this one is in will probably start around $75,000, and could still be hiding expensive problems. I'm all for the old iron; I detest what the dealers are peddling these days. But to think it's just a matter of handing over the cash and BINGO, your 359 is ready to put 100,000 miles on in a year without a problem is foolish. I bought a new Western Star / 3406B in '85, and I worked on that truck virtually every weekend. That was a brand new truck. Add 37 years & 2½ million miles to it and you can imagine the amount of maintenance it'll require. Just be careful and wise.
Great to see you back Bruce
I have always hated window shopping myself, lol, that's one nice rig for sure, now go find yourself one of these fine rigs Bruce, and thanks for sharing.
It doesn't have to be a brand new truck for you to feel safe out on the road. I would save $200000. Go get an older pre emissions truck with the size sleeper you need for the family and go through the drive train.
I grew up in trucks like this one and wouldn't have traded it for anything.
Pre emission cost has went thru the roof
Love that your back bruce.... that 359 should have a white marble floor with black grout
Those are some good 👍 times Raseing Hell with your Boy .Good Times keep 👌 on Trucking
All the old timers I’ve met say if you had deep pockets, a big ego and wanted to go fast back in the golden years of trucking you’d go for a long hood large car with a big yellow kitty under the hood, but behind the scenes the 855 Cummins and 318 Detroit were what really put in the work.
He’s got everything but a CB, get some LONG antennas and that truck is GOLDEN!
Nothing but some bullshit on there now anyway lol
Damn Bruce gotta admit you even sound healthier and happier glad to have you back!
That 359 brings back good memories for me. Last time I drove an 18 speed I was 16 and having a blast.👍👍
1st time I drove one was through NJ and I was 13😆
Now that's a real man's truck 💯
Very nice ol 359 Pete and really good engine as well can't beat a 3406b cat those and ol big cam cummins are by far my favorite older engines and they are easy to work on.besides them a old Detroit 60 cant be beat.thanks for the video and keep up the good work and God bless
Can’t beat them b model cats or a big cam Cummins they don’t die lol millions of miles on those motors and still run like brand new!
Yea we got a pete with 3406b here on the farm. Not a lot of power but its a freakin tank. Cant kill it.
@@colsonmyers9338 Those BIG Cams are a lost and dying breed man...Most don't even know what they are nowadays 👊
@@dieseldabz7104 that’s the sad part
@@ballsoutperformance yea 400,425 horsepower wasn’t a lot but would still get you down the road
Glad to see you back bruce
That's is a beautiful truck. Not dirty, working!
Welcome back bro, repping all the way from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Thanks for another great video thanks Bruce I love the 359 thanks again
Nice Pete! Thanks for sharing

Good to have you back
359 Still...Kickn'-it . good to see.
weird driving position, must be one hell of a blind spot in front..
That’s what you need Bruce 💪🏻👍👍
The 359 Pete is an awesome truck, but get one that has the raised roof on it. You will enjoy it. Especially when you take your family with you.
Nice Trucks. Like them both. Special place 🤍 for Cabover. Thanks for the great content! 👍 🇺🇸

The pete looked sick!
That’s a gorgeous 359 boys expect nothing less from ah bull hauler “Class”
Sweet 359 🤯that jake 👍🏻, I used to have a 3406 b jakes plus brake saver 15od ,46,000lbs rears big six suspension,Dayton wheels , 30 ton riggin in a 1977 kw lw 924 bush cab and butterfly hood with a protruding rad, fathom blue red pin stripes, white sash BC Canada log truck, mr cat had air power windows , was a nice feature lol . Eewww weeee it was one hell of ride 😎
Mate the trucks in the USA are so small just little city combos go and look how they do it in Australia 3 and 4 40ft trailers is how it’s done
That was a nice freightshaker cabover
I’d say that’s one of if not the nicest 359 iv ever seen.
You had me at 359
How can you drive sat on the floor when you can't see over the steering wheel
Ain't know better feeling than Peter mobile N old school the way to go. Hey talk Timmy G out of that classic plenty room for the family
Love the sound of those old Cats
Man that 359 is beast especially with that ol B model Cat I bet she don’t do nothing but keep getting right on up

The semi that love is the cab over international in the early 90s can’t remember the year but use to hear those idling you hear the turbo Whistling 😗 sweet😎👍🤙
I haven't seen a video from you in a long time this is the 1st one that showed up!
Wow what a sweeeet 359,I haven't seen alot of those!!
That’s the “that’s pretty neat” guy off tiktok that’s one clean ride
That is a really nice 359
Awesome truck, awesome interior but the driver seat seems to be rather low and kind of far back, but I guess whatever's comfortable.
keep the clips coming
That Peterbuilt a nice truck but the Freightliner sounds better.
The Peterbilt is certainly much more fascinating as a truck, but I find the driving position of the Blue Collar much more comfortable and safe.
Man sweet Pete. But dang idk how he drives that thing being so low.
Doesn't look safe to me.
Looks like the most uncomfortable driving position I've ever seen. Might be helpful if he was able to see over the dash too lol
That ain’t cool driver. You drive a cascadia or what
Its just uncomfortable looking, from a safety point of view there must be a blind spot of about 100ft in front of the hood.
@@richardhughes6757 Man you kids nowadays sound like a bunch of pussies
Looks uncomfortable to me as well. Plus at 6'5 I'd look like a ten year old sitting that low. I'd just stick to the old school cool
Sweet Pete!
Yes sir cool video 👍
Kap living his best life FR
