I commend you for keeping the old trucks alive. The smog laws against the trucking industry have gotten out of hand, and I don't see how it can be stopped other than by a massive owner operator strike. PS: Your Freightliner looks naked without some long tool boxes on each side my friend.
One of the best things about this new truck is... no DEF! That alone will take away lots of headache. That truck once it has been brought back to life, will make a lot of $ and it will out last the new fancy and full of BS sensors and such new age trucks. Congrats and stay safe,
Tim....you and your family are the real deal. It is time we all get back to doing the right thing and forget these handouts. Thanks for inspiring everyone. GOD bless!
I thought the surroundings looked familiar then I saw the city on your door. I’m glad you young guys are doing us old timers proud! Our town has a rich trucking history and I’m glad you are carrying that on!
The Pete is a diamond in the rough...sitting idle for a couple of years hasn’t helped it any, but I’m sure you can restore it and make it work for you! At least it has a Cat engine in it. Cats are more expensive to operate, but if it’s a good one, it will last you longer than a Cummins. I’m a bit Cat lover, but I’ve found some Detroit Series 60 experiences to be quite encouraging. I’m gonna keep my eyes on this truck...it has such potential! I was excited to see the boom come out...it sure brought some good memories of when I would take a backup truck out to my brother and haul a broken one back to the shop. I’m glad that you had someone following you, especially since you didn’t have the light bar. You made it home safely and that’s the important thing! Blessings! 🤩
Sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Rodney Julian I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Super cool you guys are able to find these trucks parked in the weeds and bring them back to life!!! Especially if it helps a good friend to be an owner operator and bring him joy at the same time!!! RESPECTS !!!!😎✌️
Tim is there a machine that Braxton can't run or drive he's such a good boy like watching him work its like watching a kid with hes 1st toy the excitement he shows is priceless
Great find! Keep up your positivity for the new guys getting into this industry. We need to regain control of this country and get back to the basics. Keep those POS elds and all the big company micro managing. If you have the drive and passion and the will, you can make it out there! Keep up the great work
Met a fella over in Ohio. He had scored a old truck with a Mac engine fitted in. Had only 40,000 miles on the engine. He cleaned, painted, and shined the old girl up. She was absolutely gorgeous and powerful. He is a old timer and run local and regional mostly. Respect you elders because they maybe old but they are giants!
Hey Tim. There's some great potential on that Pete. When finished, it'll be a beautiful rig. I understand why Travis will be so happy! Keep the great job! Cheers from France!
Tim I am happy that you are going to be ok I really enjoy your videos you are a lucky man to have such a caring family so enyhow take care your a good man
Tim you got to get all these owner operators organized. you'd be great at the leader like the president of the organization too. That's my two cents worth.
Without organization, the elite class will continue watching us fight for their crumbs, things will need to get like they were back in Hoffa's day before people will wake-up again.
Mr Gentry please don't listen to the negative comments about you completing projects it takes time and money to do the upgrades that needs to be done but you also got the other things like taking care of your family and bills and everything else so I love the content that you put out and I also would like one day maybe to meet you and your family I'm just about an hour or hour and a half away from you I live in Jefferson City Tennessee
The Peterbilt looks like a promising truck 🚛 to add to your fleet, back when I was driving coast to coast it would be like a diamond in the sky if I had something like it to drive, I fought those old 318 Internationals miles and miles. Hold em in the road 🛣️.
That Peterbilt looks really good now. I can definitely see it all cleaned up and on the road. Be sweet to see a video of the fleet you have now and what is being added. Got a great looking fleet. I agree that the government is pushing a bit too much trying to get the emissions junk on trucks and even small vehicles. I think they should slow down on the emissions. Not everyone can afford brand new vehicles with all that garbage. I'll stick with the older stuff as long as I can.
I think its a nice truck and has some very big potential to be a badass Pete 😎. Just a little work and Travis will take good care of it, guarantee he's excited.
That's gona make one heck of a ride.Good work, finding that one.Like the way think brother.I still drive after 48 yrs.You make me think of alot of my old brothers back in the day.Good luck friend with all you try.Later dude.
Tim: Get the heck out of my truck. I've had enough of u. Babegirl: 😲 OMG DADDY U NOT SAY THAT 😂😂😂😂 It's like u said a Bad word. I love u guys man, yeah i already seen this video i just like to go Back an look at the old ones until y'all put new one's out
When towing trucks with rear light bars I would lay the tow bar on top the frame and bind the lift chains as long as I had turning room.. jmo That quarter fender been gone since the first trip out if I remember right...LOL 1 is good
Never ever seen this channel until today, Tuesday April 6th 2021 at appx 9:25 Pm est. And the second the bearded fellah said... “screw the government” I ‘liked’ the video! Just might sub..
Congratulations Travis, good luck and best wishes. That crane truck is sweet, I could really do some work with that. That mans dodge is on spot. Id like to have that interior in my 2nd gen. Still lovin the yellow cabover and the others but a stretched fixed up Pete sure is hard to beat.
Wow man you can do to this truck same thing Bruce did to the blue truck. Completely overhaul it. Bruce Blue truck I remember it looked a hot mess LOL. He brought it back to life inside and out. That peterbuilt is beautiful even though it need work. Point is. Good pick I love it.
this truck reminds me of one near my moms place 98 w900a owners an older gentleman who use to run local loads for farmers with it trucks been sitting 6-8 years now its got a 3406 b block 4 and a quarter motor in it its in pretty nice shape trucks got 300k i believe and no matter how many times i ask that ole boy wont sell the darn thing
watz up...you just discovered a monster right there..that truck is a monster when finish...how much a truck like that cost you..in that condition..much love...from jamaica...that truck can change your life over here..very nice truck...👍🙏👏
Why didn't you paint the fifth wheel brackets and the rustysquare tubing the stacks are hooked to I had a new one of these Freight Shakers it was Black with Red and Yellow stripes from the factory New and Orange come with a 400 Cummins
What hes actually doing is giving away a pile of a truck. Anybody that knows anything about trucks will tell you to stay away from a prostar if you wanna make money. Not to mention cat motors cost more to run and rebuild.
@@Stonebagmcgee but its a GIVEAWAY, he doesn’t have to give out anything, he is literally just doing something nice for a follower, don’t get me wrong i agree on prostar being a pile, but a free truck that you can put to work right away doesn’t come around often, wether its W900 a 389 or a Prostar FREE IS FREE
I sure hope you covered the exhaust stacks to keep the turbo from spinning with no oil going to it. You are pulling it backward and them monster stacks is catching a ton of air.
RIP Old yeller

Keep bringing these old classics back to life. OLD TRUCKS MATTER!!!
Put it back on the road! Gentry and sons are great people for keeping these old rigs on the road.
Gentry, I like the fact that you are saving all of these workhorses one rig at a time. Keep on Truckin. Love your channel.
Thanks for giving this old guy a few idea for my kids as I'm disabled and I'm trying to teach them a better way Thanks to you and your family 👪
