    Absolutely brilliant Coach Tyler. Thank you. I am 63 years old and have been fencing for 6 months. I have my first competition on Sunday. Your coaching has helped so much. The value from your videos are far more than the small contribution I make per month. Again, thank you.

    I’m a boxer, I’m going to modify some of these drills (off hand tight to face, higher lead hand position, and less distance obviously) to be more sport specific and implement them in my distance training! Great video

    I've started to practise olimpic fencing because of this video. I've been practising HEMA but you convinced me by your videos that fencing is awesome, thank you! I'll share your channel and donate you on patreon because you deserve it!

    This is great, I've been doing a very small subset of this drill using a jump rope folded in half with my students.... you've just added a lot of content and additional drills I can challenge my fencers with, Thank you!!

    This is an excellent video! I struggle with making good distance calls for lunging and attacking and I believe these drills will help me get more confident in this area! Thank you!!!

    This is amazing. Thank you for sharing. For the perfect distance, how long should the rope be?

    I've been thinking. How about tie that rope around the waist instead to eliminate "cheating" the distance with the arm? Or will it remove the sensitivity?

    • @FencersEdge
      @FencersEdge  5 років тому +3

      Kiet Chau I think it’s better to hold the rope in your hand rather then having it tied to your waist. The only reason I say that is for safety reasons. If the rope is tied to their waist and someone makes a big mistake with their distance it could easily pull someone of Balance and possibly injure them when they fall. If you’re holding the rope in your hand and someone makes a mistake you can just let go of the rope.
