I am itching to pick up FFXIV once again. I'm promising you, that I'm going to play it. I dropped it 3 times already, because I found the questing kinda boring, but I watch JoCat's video about the topic, and right now I'm going in open minded. I wanna experience the fun as the others! @danielruszin2223 everyone has different opinions on it. The questing kinda remains the same style, but for me the story *started* getting good at the end of ARR, Heavensward was good, Stormblood was awesome and I'm now at the end of Shadowbringer and it's been super cool too. If all you care about is endgame raiding, can always story skip but some people frown on that just because.

Honestly if you don't like the questing you could always do a story skip, people will frown on it but games are for your enjoyment not theirs.😊
Nothing wrong with skipping every cutscene and dialogue, to each their own play how you find enjoyable
