“suck on a capri sun and know that this is gods plan” thank u miss trixie for contributing to this gorgeous quilt lol
It really made me smile when I saw your father giggling and rocking in his chair the same way that you do sometimes. .. 😊
You are so fun to watch. Thanks to your Dad for his service and his contribution to the airplane quilt.
The Spruce Goose!!!! Lol!! It's the first plane I thought of because I was able to see it in person a few years ago. I love your choices. Thanks for your awesome, groovy videos and, Dad, thank you for your service. ❤❤❤
OMG the spinning embroidery orb chair!...and call to Dad. priceless.
I absolutely LOVE your channel. You are so creative and fun to watch. I also have learned a lot from watching your videos. It was great that you got Dad to help. We are a free country because of people like him. My father was in WWII in the army. He fought in North Africa and Italy. NEVER FORGET!!🇺🇸🇺🇸 Can’t wait to what u come up with next!
My spouse is Aviation. He would love a quilt like this. Thanks for sharing this awesome quilt.❤
This quilt is fantastic!! Love listening to retired service members stories. Thank you Dave's dad for your service!
Love the floating Dave ball !
That was the most amazing quilt I have ever seen ! You are truly gifted Dave🙏🇮🇪
The spinning chair and looking how alike you and your dad are, are jewels!! Also the history behind this quilt is amazing!! Thank you for sharing your journey as a quilter! ❤
Thanks for sharing your Dad with us , wonderful story time! You are an inspiration to the world of needlework❤
I love all of the airplanes that you share with all of us.
Another great quilt. It is nice to include some family memories. Thank you to Dave's Dad for his service and help to this quilt.
The Ipad makes it's own light box! Good technique. I could listen to your dad's stories for another 45 minutes.
You never cease to amaze! Loved your Dad’s commentary on different planes and his experiences
Another fantastic quilt Dave 👏👏👏 so good that many of the planes you chose had a story to tell xx
Not only is the quilt AMAZING, you're editing for the video is just terrific. Seriousllly.
I've noticed this airplane quilt in some of your other videos and was so happy to watch the construction of it. My dad was an Army pilot and I found your stories and background info most interesting. Thanks once again to you and also to your Dad for his input and service.
the spinning chair edit had me rolling
Me too!😍
Dave...my father was a career Navy Air Traffic Controlman and planes were a part of our childhood. I loved, and recognized, many of the planes you made for this quilt. Terrific job! Bless you! 🤩
This was so informative! And I love it that your Dad gave such great input. You are the most creative and dedicated quilter on the internet!
You are so talented. Love that you got your dad on and his input on planes to add and your reaction to the movie. lol. Keep up your amazing videos.
navy brat here, fantastic quilt!!
Love this video. Your chair spinning across the screen made me 🤣!
Blueprint concept and embroidery drawings--a mind blowing match. Thank you for giving us history lessons and for honoring these great machines.
My grandfather was in aviation and I am as well! I've added this quilt to my inspiration list! He worked on Beaver's and Twin Otters, and I have operated Q400s and 737s!
I don't know if I'll ever get it done but I'm going to let the idea marinate.✈️❤
Wow!! That was interesting, educational and fun to watch. The spinning chair made me smile.
Your patience together with your skills are quite impressive. Great stories from your Dad.
This has been so interesting. Thanks for sharing your projects. You are fearless!
Remarkable! I grew up on air force bases, too.
Super fun! Could have sneaked in a block of the millenial falcon for a “where’s the odd one out” game.
😂
Cool idea and enjoyed your dad's stories. This is in the top 10 quilting videos I've ever seen since 2014.
Thank you for that oddly specific honor 😂😂👨🏻

This is a wonderful memory quilt for your family. You have so much patience to embroider all of those blocks. It was nice to see your Dad sharing his stories with you.
Hi Dave, Wow, your needlework looks so Stunning ❣️👍 I was very happy to hear your Dad’s suggestions of the planes that needed to be in your Quilt. The happiness in his voice displayed His Pride and Passion while flying for this Country. For me, it was truly My Honor to Experience this Beautiful Country through his Service. Thank You Very Much 👍👏, Chris
Every year the EAA has a Fly In in Oshkosh WI. It's a week and you cant see it all. Air shows every day. Museum, educational exhibits, so cool. Take your dad! You won't regret it.
Cool Quilt!
This entire video is absolutely phenomenal! I LOVED your descriptions of all the various aircraft and their history. I loved that your Dad was in this video to relate his experiences. I am in awe of all of our service men and women who have gone through so much for us, along with their families! Thank you for having him on. The embroidery is just fantastic! Thank you for sharing all of this with us! The quilt is a treasure....along with you!
Really enjoyed listening to the stories. It's so relaxing to watch you put together a quilt. Thanks to your dad for his service.
Wow that was a lot of work, and very worthwhile. Loved all the information on the airplanes too. Great job!
What a beautiful quilt. I love the way you choose to do them. You always put your heart into your work and it shows.

Amazing!!! I love Tuesdays!!!
Wow, That is an absolute work of art and a very informative video! Thank you to both you and your Dad!
Great idea!
Wow! Love how you create your ideas onto fabric. Enjoy your videos❤️
Sew fun, bet that quilt took a lot of hours, worth it. Loved the spinning egg chair! 😍And I’m glad to see others procrastinate mid-project. 💁♀️
Love the white on blue - great choice. Thanks for sharing!
I didn't recognize the song. I just added Amelia Earhart to my tree yesterday (6th cousin). We share a GGF back 8 generations. She was born in KS, but her father's family was from PA (Somerset & Philly). Your quilt is lovely. Thanks for sharing
Enjoyed your explanations about the aircraft chosen. A stunning result Dave, love it.
Wow, you did a fantastic job on this quilt. Always entertaining and innovative. Thank you for thinking outside the box.
Pretty freaking amazing
Love love love your ideas! The chair is amazing!
Maybe your blue cloth had a nap..If so different orientations of the fabric look different in different light and different in different positions with the same light. I love your quilts.
You are an absolute genius.
I am totally amazed by what you have created with this project!
Gorgeous and inspired!
Good grief your sitting chair swing around make me dizzy lol; but your sewing are so amazing and love to hear Dad history story of planes ; Good Service of your dad
Love that you did hand embroidery! My guess on the blue is that since there is really no right or wrong side, there may have been a slight tone difference between the "right" and " wrong" side, and some got flipped over. Love the video!
IMO this is one of your coolest quilts yet - so traditional but yet so original. I really enjoy your videos and the way you create - its so different from the way I approach quilting - I always have something new to think about.
Amazing endeavor 😮. Something to cherish for many years ❤
Your dad is adorable! Your quilt is my favorite so far!!!
I enjoyed this from the start to the end. This quilt is so unique. Excellent work
One million thumbs up!
Incredible! TY!!
Love your Dad! If I’m gonna die I’m gonna die! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Your quilt is amazing. I love all your embroidery and hand quilting. Your backing fabric compliments the quilt perfectly. A really interesting video. Thank you ❤❤
Fascinating! Your skill and creativity knows no bounds. That spinning ball edited throughput was so fun and interesting. Tell dad hello for us!
Amazing!! Really curious how long the embroidery took. Would have loved to see your dad's reaction to the finished quilt. His stories were wonderful to hear.
Yay! The Snoopy plane! You are a great artist. Good job 🎉
love your dad! such a cool affect with the blue and white.. you did a good job.
Gorgeous as always. Great idea.
Beautiful work! Congratulations!!!
Wow that was one of your best to date. The stories were fascinating and I loved meeting your dad. I remember watching that movie Alive, what an amazing story of survival. Thanks so much I will be watching this one again 👍
My dad worked on the Warthogs all his life (Air Force) so it was exciting to see that was your first block… and B-52’s were at the same base - Barksdale - and were the first planes dropping bombs in Desert Storm… not a war buff or anything but cool history…. love everything 💚💚💚 you do! And your dad is awesome!
WOW this quilt is just fantastic! amazing work!
Gosh, each time I think this is your best, it can't get any better, and then you come back and manage to out do yourself again! This is extraordinary. How long did it take?
Very nice. Thank you for this wonderful idea. I love Blue and White. It is the University of Kentucky's colors.
You did a gorgeous job!
Love your spinning ball chair!!! So fun! Great job with all that embroidery. It’s another quilt.
This is awesome!! Also I noticed that your dad rocks back in his chair just like you do 😂
Absolutely charmed by your dad and this project. 💜
The effect was perfect ❤
Hey Dave. There is a video about the Red Barron up on YT. It is pretty good, there are some REALLY great dog fighting shots in it. Thanks for the video.
Super cool
What a cool quilt 👏👏💞
Awesome quilt. Your very talented.
LOVE!!!!
Another fab video. ♥Love the quilt, the different shades of blue could be caused by some of the blocks being turned before you did the embroidery but regardless it looks great.
Another wonderful and unique project. Keep it up, Dave!
That was a very enjoyable 20 minutes, thank you! Tell me about that chair!
❤
❤❤❤
Amazing!
That is awesome
Nice embrodery❣️❣️❣️
Looks great.. I’m trying to find dragon embroidery patterns
Hola! Recently ‘found you’ and am now officially a subscriber! Your brain and the way it thinks intrigues me! Wow, what a creative mind! Love your humor and interests in sooo many different ways of designing! Keep going! 👍🏼 PS is that swivel chair on batteries or what? I think I would’ve been flung outta that thing! Hahaha 🤣
haha the chair only spins a few times and then it slows down, I just repeated the footage of it spinning over and over 😜👨🏻
What a fabulous subject for your quilt. Did you consider including The Spruce Goose? Your white work on blue was the perfect choice. I suspect that the different shades of blue resulted from the different orientations of the panels. The light reflects differently on the weave-similar to the nap on corduroy or velvet, but on a finer scale.
I love that your dad was involved. He’s a treasure!
Both my mom and dad served in the RCAF during WWII. My dad was a mechanic in Gander NFLD for part of his service. He also worked for de Haviland Canada until the early 60s.
Are you familiar with the Avro Arrow. Built in 1958. Max speed Mach 1.98. In 1959, Prime Minister Diefenbaker called for its destruction al9ng with all, tools, plans, parts, and engines. I was a huge political issue for years.
Keep stitching, and stay well!
