It'll always be discussed wether this move was right or not. In the end, the martians here were never going to hurt them, he just pissed them off. In fact, every single person in the solar system hated Holden for these strings of messages in the first book and season. Because they basically were the match that ignited the gunpowder and threw the entire solar system into war. All because James fucking Holden couldn't keep his mouth shut

Only 'discovered' "The Expanse" a few months ago. I work in the space sector so I may be biased but after watching the first episode, I ended up binge-watching all 6 seasons in 3 weeks. It was phenomenal - and the scientific accuracy is incredibly accurate.
They should've included the scene where Holden saves Christen and Bobby from UN ship, I remember thinking that was a brilliant tactic with the missiles.

@Ray Miller is the best noir character since Bogart in The Big Sleep. I love how the show took pretty much every stereotype character and built on them to create real people.
Clipping a cable to Naomi and then kicking her in the back was an awesome example of every action has an equal and opposite reaction which sent him to the deck of the bridge so he could real her in.
And you could hear the fear and her voice, because for her whole life, she was around other people that would have kicked off of her to save themselves - but without attaching that cable.
Steven Strait also looks like Kit Harrington. James Holden idolizes knight stories. His favourite is Don Quixote that is why he has this hero complex trying to save everyone. Throughout the books, he matured though.

Me and my friends pretend the end of game of thrones is Jon going through a portal and into the universe of the expanse to become Holden. I like this theory much better than anything in game of thrones season 8

When they pulled a high g fast and furious manoeuvre and shot off the engines of that UNSV ship...yeah...that's the most iconic space scene in any tv show.

If this was an Irish production, they'd have called it "the feckin' expanse".Prior to it's restart, I had never been so dejected at a series' cancellation.
Get an object to light speed and it effectively has infinite mass. If they can somehow push out even minuscule amounts of mass at very near light speed they have their thrust.

They go in to more details in the books, basically it seems like they use a laser compression fusion engine coupled with water as a reaction mass, so ships carry large tanks of water (which they need to keep anyway) and use it as reaction mass. It's stated that the faster you go the faster you use reaction mass, so poodling around at 1/3rd G you can go a long time between refuels, possibly well over a year, but if you want to push yourself on say a long 3G burn, you'll run out of fuel in a few weeks. It's like afterburners on a fighter jet, lots more thrust at the cost of massive fuel expenditure.

I love the series, up until season 4, where it lost quite a bit. One thing that called my attention: you don't have ANY clue what's happening when starting to watch. I had to watch it twice to see how well crafted even the background is. The series starts as a big mistery. Unfortunately they messed up the german version. Holden doesn't come over so hard boiled like in the origonal, that's why I didn't liked him much. They also managed Drummer sounding like she was having a stroke for like 6 episodes for no reason. I really like science fiction and no series before took a route where I was sure: This WILL happen weithin the next 100-150 years! Well done!🎉 🎉🎉
Amazon has about a year left to do something with The Expanse before it can be bought by another network/company, and apparently both Apple and HBO Max are very interested. Of course developing the rest of James SA Corey’s (Ty Franck & Dan Abraham) Expanse books are only one option that someone buying the franchise would have. Any number of off-shoots of that Universe would be possible. No matter what happens, considering the lack of originality in TV & Film right now, not to mention the enormous fan base this series has created over the past 7 years - which just continues to grow, it would be ridiculous for this franchise to sit on the shelf going forward because of a lack of development. Especially given the countless number of series released seemingly every month, with so many that are barely entertaining. So🤞Apple, HBO, or another company capitalizes on this franchise’s popularity & potential.
They're acting/moving like they're in a thick fluid in slow motion, not like space! It's as bad as the internally lit helmets, that should have ended in "Hollywood" by this late date, so many tired old tropes about space in this series, I can't like it.

Of all the characters in the Expanse.... I always thought Naomi and Holden were the least believable and the poorest acted. I never liked either of them.

This show is so good, sometimes I even forget that it's all just practical effects and cgi and not actual zero g.
Most of the sets are real, there's less CGI than you may think.
Actually, it's the same systems used to train astronaut and cosmonauts for zero g...so technically..zero G.

james holden is easily my favorite character in the show, hes a good man, and a hero, and an amazing leader.
he's also idealistic and naive. it's those flaws that make him a great character
