There is a hidden release latch in case you can't get the tonneau to open. There's one in each storage compartment. On the passenger side reach up behind the latch for the cover, on the drivers side it's down below the lever for the top release. No battery necessary to open.

I still don't understand why you have to put the window down if the doors are open??

What if the toneau button does not work? Is there a way to manually open it?

Yes, in the top of each compartment behind the seats there is rectangular hole with a orange emergency release lever to actuate each latch manually up inside it.

Just bought a 1990 Reatta convertible. This video looks too easy. I was with you up until I tried to secure the first bow to the windscreen. It. will. not. connect. Is it because it is a two man job? This should be easy but it just will not come down.

It is probably because the top is badly shrunken. You might try securing that bow first and then snapping the back down. That will likely only be a temporary fix and the rear pins will probably pop out on the first big bump you hit.

i’m thinking about buying a Buick Reatta and I was wondering what to look for how to tell if I’m getting a good one versus a bad one do you know what I mean like all the trouble spots of Reatta like a buyers guide what to look for before you buy one because I have a strong fascination for these cars I love them I really want one I already have a 96 Park Ave that I absolutely love had it for a year now and I would want to get either the convertible or the hardtop variant just as a toy like a weekend toy A reliable weekend toy because this would be taking the place of my 97 jaguar XJ6 that used to be my weekend toy but I’m having lots of problems with it it don’t even run right now because of an electrical problem I was just hoping search you guys are doing a lot of new Reatta videos I was wondering if you could make a buyers guide video because I’ve looked everywhere on the Internet and I cannot find one but I kind of wanna know what I’m getting myself into in buying one what to expect if that makes sense
