Removing the rear derailleur is probably the most important step. I have had friends who received bikes with bent or even a broken derailleur or hanger. Just watching your video of you packaging a bike definitely shows that Bike Flights boxes are larger than a typical bike box.
Yes the bike flights boxes are a little chunkier in size but run shorter long length wise to get the total dimensions below a typical bike box. This makes them cheaper to ship.
I just accidentally deleted your last comment. 🤪 Any way just wanted to say sound like door dash and biking are treating you good. If you're ever in the mountain west we should go for a ride near the Tetons or some other gravel trails out this way. Thanks!
Very helpful video, thanks! Will you please explain what you said about not wrapping the cables against the bike tubes? I probably missed something there.
Thanks Jeff, if you have exposed cable wires they could potentially rub against the paint and the padding you put on the bike frame you want to put something soft underneath it like bubble wrap to keep them from scratching.
Hi and happy new year. I have a Cannondale CAD2 frame and front suspension fork (need to be fixed). I thought maybe you want it for inspiration in one of your great videos. Please let me know if interested.

Very informative
thankfully I have a friend that knows a lot about this I tend to rely on him a little bit too much for all my such necessary needs
Great tips and tutorial (video of you packing one), I hope you're well and getting some rides in, brother 😊✌️
Thank you, yes we've been out in Oregon for a couple weeks enjoying the outdoors. Hope you are doing well too!
