I would recommend making a tiny down droop on the cable at the axle end (maybe 180 the axle to make it possible) and not go straight up. All the water and moisture could creep it's way along the cable inside the motor.
@@nickmassey9104 They usually should be. Maybe silicone or something inside the axle where the cables come through, but some mechanical prevention doesn't hurt in the long run.
I got a friend at work that messed his bike up had the switch kit. He said he'd sell it to me for $50. Well it looks like I'm going to have to buy a hybrid bike to fit it!
Cool video rusty .the kit got a bit of a roasting in the UK but it's progressed form it's first interaction ,last one I fitted moved the battery on to a modified bottle cage as the owner found the front end twitchy
Hi Nick, I've watched the company grow over the past few years and have been impressed with their updates in battery mounts and tech. I'd love to see your modification if you have a picture!
It was at work in uk basically used the battery mount fastened to the base of a plastic mtb cage with the cage clamping area removed . The bike was a raleigh 20 . So with a front drive motor it was like a hyena at speed
Enjoyed this episode. My ebike, which I love, puts power into the crank. Was it much of an adjustment cornering with power applied through the front hub? Looks like a clever solution.
I was surprised at how much pulling power it actually has. Cornering is not bad. A lot of the Bafang rear motor drives. definitely have a fall off when the motor is not engaged this one feels a lot smoother from the front..

The motors are really well sealed must ppl use electrical grease in all exposed contact .or heat shrink
Awesome, Thanks for the recommendation!

Very slick setup

I wish there was a more elegant way to attach the system to the bike. Zip ties are an eye sore!
I have some self adhesive disc brake cable guides coming from Amazon and hope to get rid of that😎
