Love it, love it, love it! Say no more I drove a Genesis when it was launched in 2014 and it was on par with my Caprice if not better it was so good this however is on another complete level definitely at least second best in class on par with 5 series
there's apparently not many people left that do. talking about the "American suspension" like it's a bad thing. Bring on the comfort for grand touring in my opinion!
Must mention Chasing Cars vlogs are becoming films. The picture quality in focus, depth of field and colour balance is noticeable, and tracking, zooming and framing cinematography put some bigger more established car review channels to shame (some of which have TV shows and studios). The audio quality I find truly excellent. Great tone and clarity with good volume levels that are stable between cuts and don't have me endlessly chasing the volume control. So whomever there is responsible for all this I salute a big kudos to you peeps, we do notice 👍

At 8:40 He spoke, spoke, spoke, and spoke a little more about boot and did not inform the capacity of the trunk, something that is essential in a sedan. It's fail again.
Very nice, did you mention the price? And the white colour exterior, it that a flat or matt finish. On negative, don't care for counter rotating instruments ie the rev counter. At least it isn't one of those dreadful flat plane LCD displays.
Nice detailed review but although it is pleasing to see that this is a brand new model, I think it would appeal to the hire car market with its US styling and rear seat comfort. Also, maybe Hyundai could have had some Australian input into the suspension tune to improve ride on country roads.
From the front it looks like someone is squinting. But it still is a very impressive car. It’s getting harder to recommend the German brands and they only have themselves to blame.
A number of Audis also seem to have space saver spares. It’s a shame the bean-counters have done away with the full size alloy spare. It remains a luxury from a bygone era...
Good move Genesis. Launching a new car especially a new brand, in the ACT(Australian Capital Territory). [Neutral territory] Given Australia's eight states and territories, many not in NSW are 'over' everything out of Sydney. Viewer conflicted loyalties (esp during Covid) is a 'thing' and can be galling. Pity about the State Number Plates. A very good video on the G80 Tom. On Genesis. Won't expect 'critical mass' any time soon.
Fabulous thing! A 5m long 4 door V6 3.8L RWD Sedan. Great idea, Australia should make something like this.. oh.. hang on.. Weird how Holden or Ford couldn't sell this specification and Hyundai, sorry, Genesis can. Annoying that this car carries $3K to $10K in Luxury Car Tax. A tax that was intended to help protect the Au car manufacturing industry and now needs to be dropped.
Yeah, it's a recipe that makes sense. Kind of dismayed to discover, when I was researching the written form of this review, that large luxury SUVs now outsell large luxury sedans in Australia by 13-to-1. It is truly a dying breed.
That is one stunning and sleek saloon. It's very slick, If I was considering a luxury saloon I'd certainly give this car a serious thought.
I'm honestly impressed by how far Hyundai has evolved.
It’s quite something.

Appreciate the time lapse from night to day on the rear end. Quality vid
It looks really nice inside and out. Well done Genesis!
Love this car in Royal Blue Colour..❤ i will buy it once i have 💰..
Amazing review awesome, never skips his reviews in the middle. Awesome mate
I like soft suspension , and by the description of the genisis you gave , i think it is a brilliant car

love the design. white isn't the best color for this IMO. green and maroon looked awesome.

Great vid - right from the start. You guys deserve FAR more subs than you have.
Thanks, Aaron!

So much better looking than the European, especially Germany, competitors.
Tom has recommended an SUV over any other kind of car? IS HELL FROZEN OVER?!?!?!
I know, I know! But in this truly rare instance, that’s the case. The GV80 is a better vehicle - more polished, more controlled, more... finished.
1st time watcher...nice! Subscribed from Reno NV!
Very nice review, on a beautifull car.
Thank you! 👍
Great review as always Tom I always enjoy your reviews and how much does the rear entertainment package cost
I appreciate that!
Wish you would tell us the price, or at least make it obvious In the video
If the car feels like a boat at 100kmh I wonder what it would feel like cruising down the Autobahn at 200kmh
This is Australia not bloody Germany
I‘d love to find out but Genesis doesn‘t actually sell cars in Germany.

$85k for the 2.5T and $100k for the 3.5TT.

Another great review, Tom! 👍
Thanks again!
He sounds quite sleepy because the vehicle is so quite and cozy inside I guess.
Tom likes things that are little more "dainty", check!
Cars - especially sporty ones - are like dancers. Dainty is what you want, not boaty.
@@chasingcars I should've used a smiling emoji after my comment. :)
@@chasingcars but this is a land yacht. it's exactly what it's meant to be. and way better for grand touring than any SUV.
Do you think Genesis gonna release the sport trim of their cars like BMW (M line), Audi (S line) or Lexus (F Sport)?
They might but they’d have to bring a full fat high performance version like AMG, M, RS etc first for people to make sense of their sporty trim.
Did I see 41C on the thermometer ? Jesus.
I wonder what would be the price range ?
Nice car but not compelling enough Ace review
The front end reminds me of Wailord 😬😬😬 love the interior though
The interior is beautiful!
Da heck is a wailord? =(

Nice 👍.. good review.. 🙃
Good review Tom shame there is only Limited dealer network.I'd have to travel to Sydney to get a view.
Opening imminently in Brisbane and Melbourne, they promise. Where are you based?
Hey, love the intro music. How funky is that?
Need a G80 wagon, please.
Country driving...it's nice to have a full-sized spare, but a space-saver is better than nothing.
It is better than nothing, yes.

Genesis is available in Aus?
Very boring review.
"Hoon-dyay"?
not bad.
I just don't bother checking other car review channels anymore.
I love it
The 90's want their wheels back
Have you seen the design on the 2.5-litre model? They're something else!
Second!
Coasting into the weekend with a G80 review… thanks for watching, Billy!
Mate work on your clothing please, great review as always.
Ash, I think I’m nailing these looks. As always, it’s about the cars.
@@chasingcars Tom is a stud.

Congrats! Thanks for watching.
