Oh how I miss it. I just turned 60 but was a wrangler for9 yrs. It was the best job ever. I loved kids and when they would be bragging as we would load and no sooner than your ready to leave the barn some would get scared n want off. I would come back n talk to them, calm them down n usually on their way back they would want to go out again. You worked hard n slept good.n would jump out of bed in mornings to do it over again. I hope you young ladies n gentlemen are having an excellent time , and making great memories!! RIDE EM !!
This is gorgeous! I am so glad that you guys have had such an amazing experience at this camp! If I were in Michigan I'd definitely try it out and go! (For anyone in Cal, Leoni Meadows camp has a few amazing horse summer camps)
I heard their barn just burnt down last August when a fire swept through there and damaged some of the buildings... :( I don't know if the horses were evacuated beforehand, but it sounds like the only living things on the property were a few staff members who wanted to stay behind.
Oh my goodness, this brings back such great memories of being a camper at Spring Hill! I remember trying vaulting for the first time and being so happy the first time I was able to mount without stirrups.
I ride at a barn that has less horses than this they have 40+ which is still alot of horses to have but they've trained the horses to automatically run in at the whistle and go to their own stall.
@Sally beavers “yeah your right” they work hard, mess with 100s of horses take care of them “totally not “an wrangler, dont tell someome there not something cause they can be who ever they can
@Sally beavers okay so first of all you have no idea what my life is like second of all ive grown up around mules and horses my entire life i started riding by the age of four and sadly that mule passed so i have a new mule who ive been training since he was 3 months old when his mom abandoned him i mess with horses on a daily bases so dont you dare come at me bitch with “ go back to your gacha life 🙄” shit cause you’re just starting a fucking fire
@Sally beavers Definiton of a Wrangler from Google: "A person in charge of horses or other livestock on a ranch." What do you think they're doing? Don't be rude to a person on the internet for no reason and kindly do not correct them on something you CLEARLY do not know much of. What does the title of the video say? "Day in the life of a *Wrangler*". Goodbye. And Fattu I'm sorry you had to deal with that, being a wrangler sounds like a lot of fun~
Hey! This was such a fun video! A few questions :) What would it take to get involved, how old do you have to be, and where I’m Michigan is it located? Thanks I’m advance!!💛
Hi! I was wondering about working at SpringHill Horse camp. I started working as a stable hand May 2022 and have loved it. I don’t think I will be able to work at Springhill this summer (I have a study abroad trip) and I graduate from Oakland University School of Nursing in December… so maybe summer 2024 lol that seems like a long way away… any information you have though would be appreciated thank you!!
I have a question for you is this camp you work at hiring for the summer? I was thinking about becoming a wrangler and wanted to see if SpringHill is hiring and where to apply?
They seem fine to me?? The slightly thinner ones that I noticed were all finer sportier breeds I think. I dont rhink any were under weight severely. It also might be something they are working on individually with the horses, you can't just it just from a video
It doesn't need to be a food issue. Maybe this horse is a little older or younger. Maybe it's having issues with gaining and holding weight. My now 3 year old Welsh gelding for example needed almost a year before we finally found the right feed for him that helped him gain weight and stay on this weight. Befor that he lost a lot of weight during the coat change and his ribs were very visible the whole summer. Now, nearly a year later with feeding him the same feed, he's looking great for a young horse that's not really working yet.
It’s so weird seeing Alex who usually plays the beginner in skits, as the most experienced person there-

I’m a wrangler on the beach and I absolutely love my job. Taking people on rides, spending time with the horses. I absolutely love it.

If you pause then go to 0:40 the chestnut looks a bit under weight but ok x
I think they are probably ok, like I said it might be something they are working on individually with them 😊

These ain't no "wranglers".
It’s a term used for people who handle horses and help campers during horse camps, or at dude ranches.
@@fionaoreilly5962 Fully aware of that. So I'll say it again....these AIN'T no "wranglers".
@@sonofslade8235 What would you call them instead? :-)
