I would love to see more barndo floor plans with an actual foyer. I personally cannot stand walking right into someone’s living space, nor do I like strangers/random stop by’s right in my living area. This home is gorgeous, though! And I can imagine many people would be more than happy to live here! Love that loft overlooking the living area.
Same. It is the only thing I do not like about this plan, really. That and I am not into master bedroom near the front door area.

Building this house now. I work for a home builder as his General Superintedent for his commercial roofing company and he is building this for me at cost. But to give everyone here an estimate. It is costing me $275,000 turn key to build this house. This is basically the cost of labor and materials and me paying my boss 20k as a thank you for doing it for cheap. Anyone who did not work for a builder- a good deal would be anywhere from $330,000-$350,000 turnkey to build this house depending on finishes. FYI I asked for 360k to the bank for my loan because if I said 275 they wouldn’t believe I could get it done for that but 350k is what most people will wind up paying for a fair deal. I have the cost breakdown for every piece of piping, wood, roofing, etc because I’m ordering it all myself so don’t get ripped off out there guys. This is very easily a house someone will quote you 450k on be aware. Also I just used my land as my down payment since I owned it so we are building for $0 down. So if you own land worth around 100k to 130k or more than you may not even need a down payment to build. Hope this helps everyone!

Love the laundry room, counter space for folding laundry, and massive natural light and the cupboard space.... Love the master bedroom also, natural light is incredible, would love stonework for fireplace in living room..

Thats how we are building it and removing the wall between the mud room and laundry room and adding a island

I’m building this house right now for my wife and my first kid on the way. Even with prices the way they are it’s costing me around 275k turn key but I am also the builder so I’m not being charged anything but labor and materials and paying the owner of my company 20k for getting it done for me at cost. A good builder could build this for you for around 330k to 350k which isn’t bad. I have the exact cost breakdown to the very piece of wood and piping and roofing you need. The real key is if you own your land you could build this house for $0 down. I own 12.8 acres and that counted as a down payment to use as collateral. Hope some of this helps
