I used that same technique on my first generation teddy ruxpin I moved his eyes and mouth up and down gently to help get all three servos get a solid connection its how I fixed my first generation teddy ruxpin and he works excellent
I've heard people say that Will Ryan did the voice for Goofy, and i can tell, Goofy really does sound quite a lot like Grubby doesn't he, I should know because I've been listening to a bit of Teddy Ruxpin tonight.
Yes, but you'll hear a horrible buzzing sound as well. This is the movement code to make the mouth and eyes move. If you have a balance control you can put it all the way to the left and listen on a regular cassette player.
I think I might of figured who voiced Goofy at least for these tapes, he might’ve been voiced by Tony Pope. He voiced Goofy in a “Sport Goofy” TV special roughly around the time these toys came out and it’s sounds very close to the WoW voice.
@Nuggetlover96 Batteries will corrode if they're left in, but that only happens after a month or so. I should have made the part about that clearer... I switched him off, but flipped the tape over. Unfortunately sometimes the switch being off doesn't always mean the toy will stay off!! I had a Mickey that used to turn on at random with batteries when I was little.
There is a difference on the connection cable the white connection cord works with teddy ruxpin and grubby the black connection cord is labeled mickey mouse and goofy
Another good hint I've heard is that if you KNOW how the mouth/eye movement is supposed to be at each part of the tape, move the motors along with the tape. Chances are the motors will unstick as your movements match up with what the motor is trying to do by itself.
When you have a non-responsive WoW talker, it may not be the motors at all. If the audio sounds bad, chances are the movement code will be distorted as well and the toy may not understand it! Check if the motors move at all when you first turn the power on - if so, it's probably the tape player.
I remember mickey mouse I bought mine off ebay I paid $40.00 for my mickey mouse cassette player and he comes with the impossible journey cassette tape and book
I have 2 grubbys, one that came with my teddy( both teddy and grubby work fully), and the other grubby has a broken eye and his mouth and eye motors sound horrible
Hahah! Oh! I wanted to ask you something. I remember on your Facebook page you had some exclusive videos on floppy’s progress and other videos. Are you able to snatch those up and upload them there?
If I may ask, what is the difference between the “fuzzy shoes” version and that version? I was wondering because mine has his shoes made in the same material as his fur and face (fuzzy) while I’ve seen others with the normal fleece/cotton fabric shown in the video. What is the difference? Is it generation wise or is it something that they did for a short time?
@Nuggetlover96 Haha, there are actually several out-of-the-way spots I visit. Conventions are a good place to find talkers, too! I actually got Corky at a doll show!
@Tomsonic41 Yeah I've noticed with Teddy Ruxpin that when I turn the power switch on his motors twitch a bit. But this Mickey Mouse is running really slowly I think, I suspect the belts in the tape deck may be bad or something.
@Lachlant1984 They do sound similar, but it is definitely Bill Farmer. I bet if push came to shove, though, they could get Will to do Goofy. He did a spot-on Winnie the Pooh in a Family Guy sketch a while back!
this video was posted years ago so I don’t know if anyone will see this, but I have a quick question! it’s not about Mickey, but a teddy ruxpin doll. when I got him he was still in the box. so he’s in really great condition. he did sit inside the box in the floorboard of a car for a while.. in a very shady area. I don’t know if the sun may have something to do with this problem, that is why I mentioned it. but he doesn’t seem to have any unusual colors or anything like that. he looks brand new! when I turn him on he will move his mouth and eyes a tad bit BUT no volume plays?? like there’s no sound and he will only move for a second before completely stopping :( does anyone know how to fix this? I know it’s not my tape, because my other teddy ruxpin works perfectly with the tapes! I just don’t know why this one isn’t producing sound whatsoever. any help is appreciated!!
month late but it could possibly be an issue with the volume wheel, speaker, or other parts of that sort of thing. aging and being sat in non optimal conditions mightve messed with something there. these are just my sort of uneducated guesses, so id say consult people who know more and look online for issues similar
so i'm confused blueoctopede where did you say you got all of your talking toys? like jill, big bird, mickey and goofy, mother goose and the rest of you r teddy ruxpins?
Is there any particular reason why you shouldn't connect a companion toy to a host toy whilst the power is turned on? I agree with that, but why is it so?
They were all made by Worlds Of Wonder in 1985 1986. They are all like that, Teddy Ruxpin, Mickey, and Snoopy. Mother Goose has the battery cover on the left side and the tape player is on the right side
I used that same technique on my first generation teddy ruxpin I moved his eyes and mouth up and down gently to help get all three servos get a solid connection its how I fixed my first generation teddy ruxpin and he works excellent

Is this like a Teddy Ruxpin Knock off!!! How many Teddy Knockoffs are there!!
there are actual teddy knockoffs out there but this one is actually from the same company who made the original teddys
I think I might of figured who voiced Goofy at least for these tapes, he might’ve been voiced by Tony Pope. He voiced Goofy in a “Sport Goofy” TV special roughly around the time these toys came out and it’s sounds very close to the WoW voice.
Thanks for the tips! They worked like a charm!
His audio is working great to!
Cool:) mine is just broken lol
4:44 he sounds like his motor is moving, but the rest is stuck.
It is probably a bag or something. That is what it sound like to ne
I like Floppy being his name. It's cute! 😀😉

Great video, Love seeing these types of experiments!
Most of the animatronic toys from the 1980s are nowadays going to be broken soon.
Another good hint I've heard is that if you KNOW how the mouth/eye movement is supposed to be at each part of the tape, move the motors along with the tape. Chances are the motors will unstick as your movements match up with what the motor is trying to do by itself.
Tomsonic41 That's what I did with my Teddy !
When I watch the whiff or without fur one, there is a bug in his head 🐜🐜
I meant to say with instead of whiff
Where did u get goofy i have mickey but not goofy

Pfff- sounds like he’s underwater
I love Mickey Mouse so much❤
I remember mickey mouse I bought mine off ebay I paid $40.00 for my mickey mouse cassette player and he comes with the impossible journey cassette tape and book
Mickey is like 36
I have 2 grubbys, one that came with my teddy( both teddy and grubby work fully), and the other grubby has a broken eye and his mouth and eye motors sound horrible
Also what magical land is this where you find these at thrift stores?
I can’t wait for part 2!!!

Oh! I wanted to ask you something. I remember on your Facebook page you had some exclusive videos on floppy’s progress and other videos. Are you able to snatch those up and upload them there?
Bringing home floppy part 2. 2021!
Can you use Teddy's cord?
Micky sounds like he's 77 years old
He sounds like a ummmmmmmm. I have no idea
Wait, an electrical short? I thought if u left the batteries in and the tape running, that corroded the battery compartment?
My childhood!! Hes locked in the garage now sadly but maann I loved him
Carissa Pacc
Carissa Paccerelli get him out
Carissa Paccerelli Get him out

I think fuzzy shoes is a first Gen
@Nuggetlover96 Haha, there are actually several out-of-the-way spots I visit. Conventions are a good place to find talkers, too! I actually got Corky at a doll show!
MACK A TEDDY RUXPIN PLZZZZZ
@Tomsonic41 Yeah I've noticed with Teddy Ruxpin that when I turn the power switch on his motors twitch a bit. But this Mickey Mouse is running really slowly I think, I suspect the belts in the tape deck may be bad or something.

blueoctopede I got a surprise for you. it's on my video!
Floppy looks like a Mickey Mouse And it looks like the exactly same talk to Mickey Mouse worlds of wonder
Gee I wonder why

can you please make a video on how to repair a talking mickey. i would gratley apreciate it!!
Im geting another mickey mouse and this time around he is the first gen bigger fuzzy feet one - This should be interesting!!!
Where does everyone get the talking mickey/goofy dolls, and teddy ruxpin doll? besides eBay?
tabuv thrift stores
@Lachlant1984 It's not good for the circuitry to have a sudden rush of power like that, and it could damage the cord as well.
@UnknownFlyingPancake From what I've read it's a combination of old age, dirt, and/or loose drive belt.
I never knew they had a Micky that talks
8:20 goofy keeps falling asleep... GOOFY WAKE UP, YOU DON'T WANT TO END UP LIKE BORIS DO YOU?!
8:25 WHAT?! IM AWAKE?!
They always have two caricters to go with the main toy
Is He Fuzzy Footed Or No?
0:43
What could happen if you plug in a companion toy while it's on?
It will start to wreak your main talker I think
Is there any particular reason why you shouldn't connect a companion toy to a host toy whilst the power is turned on? I agree with that, but why is it so?
@UnknownFlyingPancake Oops I accidentally deleted your comment- sorry!!!
awww........?...
the 4 dislikes are the people who are jealous
Tom and Jerry 8 because of the ears.
And some things don't come over night
I am 8 I had a teddy Ruxpin when I was six but I broke him i loved him❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
bullshit
I was a big big nerd 🤓
I actually like the old version of Mickeys clothes but the yellow is kinda weird
Never knew why they gave mickey a shirt, probably to hide the cassette player in the back
How much was he?
the back looks like teddy ruxpin
Fnaf gang they are all like that
Fnaf gang he was made by the same company (I believe)
They were all made by Worlds Of Wonder in 1985 1986. They are all like that, Teddy Ruxpin, Mickey, and Snoopy. Mother Goose has the battery cover on the left side and the tape player is on the right side
It’s pretty good for an old toy (in my opinion)
that's interesting.
Just curious, why should you never plug in a companion toy while the other is on?
Isy Robin it'll probably lag and cause glitching
Kodiak Kid it will make the speaker go staticky and it will block all of the animation circuits as well as glitching
@blueoctopede lol that is so strange
Would this work on a teddy
Yup
My talking Mickey Mouse also takes a minute to start moving smooth if that makes scense
There is a Tom & Jerry world of wonder?
no
ylpbassman YASSSS
