There are only a few answers then: 1. They forgot the Saturn bios. 2. They assumed that it wouldn’t work, so they ignored it. 3. It was a technical issue before launch. 4. It was a legal matter.
but why would there be legal issues with Saturn that don't also apply to Master System and Genesis? As far as the bios, my experience has been that the Saturn emulator will still play Saturn ROMs even without the bios, but it displays a warning that you have to click through (acknowledging your own legal liability?). I truly don't know.... maybe they just didn't include Saturn ROMs because they take up so much space? To have the complete ROM collection for Saturn, I'm not sure the size of that but I doubt that it would fit on a 128 gb SD card.

It 100% depends on your definition of "Runs well". It will run, some games, in the yabasanshiro emulator, but absolutely DO NOT expect to run accurate emulation via beetle_saturn. What that means in plain terms is that some games won't work, some games will be great, some will have minor graphical errors, and some will be broken af. These reviewers aren't going in-depth enough in this regard, some say it sucks, some say it's great, but it entirely depends on what they are playing and HOW they are emulating it.
Seeing you wear that KISS tee lets me know that you're staying up to date as I am about their last show AND their new era. haha. Now I shall begin this video.
All these handhelds and controllers over the years have made me realize one thing: there are a huge range of styles for Dpads, some better than others, but one thing is absolutely certain. The Xbox dpad is pure garbage. It is astonishing how something so simple and so established can be butchered so badly when there is zero excuse to do so.
I disagree with you there. The DPAD on the Xbox Series X controller is the best one ever in a long long time! 😎 It feels so nice & clicky & It's a massive improvement on the DPAD over their previous Xbox controllers. If you agree with me give me 👍

Save your money if your interest is Saturn. RGT means well here, but he's not diving deep enough. It's not playing Saturn as well as he is led to believe. Some games will run well with an inaccurate emulator like he played here, but I would watch more reviews about the device before pulling the trigger. For my money (and I did buy one) It's not powerful enough to run the Saturn library at fullspeed without errors.
@@sir_hammy Think of emulation like translation. You're taking the language of one machine, and putting it into another. Because of this the end result can be very different. So if you compare something like YabaSanshiro2 to something like Beetle_Saturn you can start to see some of those differences. My favorite example is YabaSanshiro can't handle some of the ground textures in Sonic R. When you jump, you will see the textures float around. Another example is PowerSlave, there are holes in the rendering of walls, things don't line up correctly. It takes a lot of power to emulate Saturn correctly, it's a complex system, and while YabaSanshiro 'works' it isn't an accurate representation of the the Saturn software. You see this kind of thing with almost any emulator really, Sege Genesis sound reproduction was a big thing for long time, for example. There's also still a lot going on with N64. Most folks are using Glide64 RDP (Which, is pretty awesome in what it can do) but ParaLLEl accurately reproduces the VI filter that the system had - which drastically changes the look of each game.
Seen a few videos on this device, it would be good to get more information on saturn games which do not run well on this device, if it could play all of them without compromising gameplay that would make it 100% worth the money.

The reason there weren't Saturn isos on the device from them is simply because the file sizes are large. Chinese handhelds pride themselves on omg 10,000 games! Easy to do that if you load up a bunch of NES and Atari roms. Saturn, PS1, Dreamcast, Sega CD, PC Engine CD, those games games are large.
What's the SD card size? I know up the price when getting more memory, so many the pre loaded Saturn games are included with the most expensive version.
