What a spectacular way to end your PCT journey. I am glad you ended your PCT hike at the end of the first week of October because the snow looked like it was only going to become deeper as the days went by. Congratulations a million times.
Many congratulations too you on your PCT thru hike! What a fantastic feat. My respect goes out to anyone, and everyone, who even starts out on such a long, long journey with the intention to walk from Mexico to Canada. It is not an easy adventure for some to understand, even those who actually do it. It's amazing what we can do if we set our minds to it. Watching your hike made me determined to someday go back out and finish the pct (something I had never considered). Thank you for the fantastic documentation, and the amazing insight to this trail. It truly drew me in. You really did a great job of bringing the trail home.
zach rotondo I will try to post my YT videos in the same spirit as McLedgend. They will be in effect unconventional. I've got a Subway challenge I'm working on. Carry the torch lol, carry the torch
Absolutely awesome job, man! Can't wait to undertake this adventure next year! You had to have been one of the last few people to make it to the monument though. i specifically remember that first week and a half in October because i was praying for snow (im a snowboarder in the winter). It absolutely dumped a ton of snow in the mountains here at that time! Congratulations on the finish!
Congratulations. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. I am glad that you finished especially when you did. That was about the wettest October ever. I was hoping that you would make it without getting stuck in deep snow.
Congratulations Zach! I can't thank you enough for all the great videos. You did an amazing job. I am sure that no matter where you were on the trail, you would have finished. It was a bit amusing to here you question the possibility of not finishing shortly after hiking 30 miles in the snow and rain. My dad is from Winsocket (sp?) I hope to visit there some day. Thanks again.
Ah Woonsocket, went there a lot as a kid to play hockey. Thanks for watching! You're right, no way I wasn't going to finish that close. Kind of got lucky with the weather though. The last 30 miles became nearly impossible a week or so later.
Well I have some more footage to share - hiking to Manning Park + Vanvouver. Plus some other footage from conversations I had with friends hiking. Hope to share more soon.

Thanks! It kept dumping. A few friends had to call it quits a week or so later... too much snow to hike through.
