  • We visited two municipalities in Antioquia - Colombia: Marinilla and Santuario where Maria Marlenny, Flor Maria and Rosa Ángelica live, 3 beautiful women with a lot in common, they help generate employment and rebuild the social fabric, providing a better quality of life, they decided to be part of an initiative of the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development that is carried out through the 33 environmental authorities
of the country. According to the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Peasants, "a peasant is understood to be any person who engages or intends to engage, either individually or in association with others or as a community, in small-scale agricultural production for subsist or trade and who to do so rely to a large extent, although not necessarily exclusively, on the labor of members of their family or household and other non-monetary
forms of work organization, and who have a special bond of dependency and attachment to the land.
