Rest in paradise my guy! Hawaii will never forget you. You are one of dem ones. You made everyone love Hawaii football. You accomplished so much in such a short time, now you can rest easy free of all that troubled you! Love and Respect #15 the General between the lines. God bless you brother.
Dug up my old ps2 to fire up madden 07 and ncaa 07. Looked back and my old save files from 2006. Drafted Calvin Johnson 1st overall in the 07 draft and Brennan 16th in the 08 draft to the raiders. Miss importing classes I had all the real names and everything. Probably gonna pick it back up and continue playing my raiders franchise. Funny thing is I had Rex Ryan at HC and after harbaugh left the eagles I promoted him to my OC. Team was butter. I also drafted Jamal Charles in the 08 draft in the second round and Desean in 09 in the first. Charles and Lamont Jordan. Calvin and Desean Jackson. All qb’d by colt. RIP brotha you were an icon when I was a kid.
Colt Brennan would light up Sports Center late night while only Hawaii was playing football on Honolulu island at Aloha Stadium! Colt brought back winning football to Hawaii and he will always be remembered by the great people on the island! RIP brother.
RIP Colt, thanks for the memories! He was a great QB before his time. Many pro and college teams now have some of this type of offense in their offenses now. They criticized him for how he wasn't under center, well he proved you don't have to be and those few seconds can get the ball out faster. With a 70% lifetime completion rate, that's 7 complete passes out of every 10. Keep the chains moving! One thing I would like to point out is that there were many games where Colt didn't play in the 4th quarter because they were already up by so much.
He was so good. The same season as that undefeated Hawaii team was crushing team that's all me n my teammates was talking about. He had a good heart and soul. Peace be upon you Colt.
While it is 100% true that he played in an air raid system and played against mostly weak competition to put up the numbers he did, it's worth noting he only had 1 future NFL wide receiver on his team in 2006 (Davone Bess), and the guy went undrafted. While he had many receivers put up great numbers, I'd make the argument they put up the numbers they did because of this man. WR Davone Bess: 96 REC, 1,220 YDS, 15 TD WR Jason Rivers: 72 REC, 1,178 YDS, 10 TD HB Nate Ilaoa: 67 REC, 837 YDS, 5 TD (13 Games) WR Ross Dickerson: 54 REC, 726 YDS, 7 TD WR Ian Sample: 54 REC, 690 YDS, 10 TD WR Ryan Grice-Mullen: 46 REC, 770 YDS, 11 TD (10 Games)
Imagine how much more touchdowns he would have had if in half the games he did play in the 4th quarter. I remember half the game they were up so big June jones pulled him after the 3rd. He would have high 60’s TD passes.
No disrespect-but most of these highlights are 10 yard slants and the WR does 50% of the work. CB was a great system guy in the WAC. He never beat anyone worth a damn at Hawaii and couldn’t make an NFL roster. Tebow could and won a playoff game. Just some needed perspective for some.
@@TheBroled - UH football is a joke and made a hard nosed coach resign because they are soft. Go spend a week in Hawaii and you can see nobody serious about football goes to the islands. They leave if they are. Tua, Mariotta, et…
Hawaii has a smaller pool of talent to select from because many of the top players want exposure and go to big name D1 schools. Try to keep that in mind. You don't blame players because they want a better shot at making the pros. As for Tebow, he too was a system guy as he never really found success at the NFL level; while he did win playoff game, that cannot be the sole determinant of truly being successful. Sadly, it was Tebow's insistence on only playing the QB position that cost him a job in the NFL. Unlike Taysom Hill who is willing to be a utility player -and a very successful one at that.
He would be a top pick if drafted today are even 5 years from when he did get drafted. League adjusted their systems for college QB compared to when he was drafted you better know how to play under center are don't get drafted.
The reason you'd watch ESPN, FSN, or Versus Network around midnight on a Saturday night was because of this man. RIP Colt.
R.I.P brotha. That boy had so much swag with the rainbow visor and that silky sidearm throwing motion.
His M.O!
yeah he was so smooth....
best qb drip ever
Rip my bradda, was an honor to have you as my friend, my kids were devastated that uncle Colt has passed

Your right, he had a lot good deep passes but he barely threw deep, no disrespect to him but the wrs did the hard stuff
Still the greatest quarterback in UH history... for a looooong time to come judging by the crappy teams they have running over there now
