I just noticed a pun in the weaknesses
Workers are weak to Fire. They're being "Fired".
wow that was terrible
Ryan Maeder Plz stop
no keep going i want more
Why are these robots so resistant to Psy damage?
They're Mindless workers!
thank you for this!
Remember......Persona 5 is in *JAPANESE*
I find it hilarious that this boss attacks you with a fucking McDonald's meal. 10/10 would fight again
Von Armen This is why persona 5 is rated best JRPG of 2017
Fast food can kill you, especially when you order the Unhappy Meal
I got 1 shot by that. i was like WTF
Mock it all you want, it will kill you if your not careful
27Bayleefs This guy only won because he got lucky.
Futaba: Skull's really hungry, he doesn't have the strength to hit hard.
*Skull lands finishing blow.*
To be fair, Okumura himself doesn't have a lot of health
Well he is just the mastermind behind the army.
MrKlassic That happened to me. My MC was hungry, and when the Big Bang Challenge appeared, he gained health. Or was it just a coincidence?
PlasmaTempest39 Nah, the burger attack heals all hungry party members. I was laughing my ass off when he used it with all but one of my party members hungry
Skull:you were saying futaba?
I noticed a pattern in the names of the minions:
MDL-WKR = Worker
MDL-CH = ?? (someone fill me up on this please)
MDL-DM = Division Manager
MDL-GM = General Manager
MDL-ED = Executive Director
Cheeky naming there, Atlus localization team.
I think the CH stands for "Chairman," but I could be wrong.
I finally realized: CH was for Chief Clerk. lol
about am what does it mean
So MDL means Mindless hence the MDL and MinDLess?
That seems like the most appropriate explanation! hahaha
guess you can say his shadow got a burger with a side of DIES
boss adam profile pic please?
Side of pancakes tyvm.
Boss Adam he sure took a quarter POUNDER to the face!
*Okumura's robot attacks and kills Haru*

*Okumura's robot attacks and kills Haru as soon as she gets back up*

Kind of disappointed it wasn't "Hmph, you rebel scum!"
WakkaSeta
Close enough :)
“Overcome failure at any cost, even if it means betraying others”
“The cold reality of kicking people down is part of business. Virtues and sentiments are for losers”
He said the exact same things when they met him the first time!
2 interesting tid bits about this boss. 1-The sins have always been represented in the mechanics of the fight as well, which for this fight, if you're gluttonous with your healing, you will end up burning a lot of DPS dealing with Big Bang Challenge. 2-This fight introduces the "enrage phase" of boss fights where it just starts trying to nuke you into oblivion, usually put in to ensure you get the mechanics of their attacks, good way to stop people relying on defense.
I kinda still rely on defense in a way. I use Limelight on Joker to force the big guy to attack him and have him equip with a Persona that reflects physical. That way the Big Bang Burger challenge is the only attack that can hurt anybody. So after the Attack I have enough time to heal and because of the damage the Exacetive Director takes from getting his attacks reflected he dies before he can use a Big Bang Burger Challenge a second time.
I never get tired of watching P5 battles, whereas in other RPGs I almost never bother.
Pro tip: preserve SP from Haru until the last robot, then make Haru use Tetrakarn over and over, the robot will hit himself with this
cya!
4:42 Okay, sure... Whatever you say, Darth Labor.
Harufuckingdies.mp4
Just lost this fight twice in a row because of bullshit time limit. Last time Okumura was on 1/3 hp when time run out. Practically ready to throw controller through window.
Claus5544 How did the time limit of all things defeat you... o.o
SpriteStar97 Probably searched endless item list for cure hunger items for too long. Third try I won with over 10 minutes of excess time.
17:24 Actually it's the Dinner skill from the King (Final Spaghetti)
Just recently I completely humiliated the final robot..:
Morgana's Lucky Punch caused a Critical. I up'd Joker's attack in a previous turn, summoned Seth and nearly instantly took his _entire_ HP using One-Shot Kill. Almost popped my eyes out in disbelief! xD (Merciless Mode)
It would be cool if you can target the head corporate elite of the McDonalds HQ
OH GOD STOP IT SHE'S ALREADY DEAD
To hell with this fight. It was so stupidly challenging that I had to use an over powered DLC persona with heavy curse damage just finish those damn green robots. The giant robot was easy compared to the final wave of robots.
He reminds me of Dr. Wily
"WOAH I HIT IT, WAY TO GO ME!"
I finally beat him. And to think all I had to do was rank up Haru's baton pass beforehand
Hello. I'm here just to read the dialogues because I rushed everything like a bitch in my run.
I hate time pressure.
Finally. I finally beat him omg. Took me about 7/8 attempts.
The boss was mainly the robots name the boss fight robo crusher corps
Just cast physical reflect on Haru... the boss just kills himself that way
Hmmmm Execubot only targets noir with physical attacks pretty much the entire fight?? Ya there’s nothing I can do here. Tetrakarn you say?? Which persona is that?
First boss that made me rage quit in hard mode.
You have to tarunda the boss and have rakukaja up for MC or party, and you have to guard, Everyone either dies or has a sliver of at the end of turn.
Of course, that is if you do everything accordingly, but the AI had the nasty habit of casting rakunda on MC, this results in a instant game over.
So far my second SMT RNG bullshit moment in all the game.
Truth be told, I didn't feel bad about toning down the difficulty for this boss, minion waves were bullshit enough since you can't smoke them fast enough before they suicide bomb themselves.
Roger Ch. Yes, but it is the last truly hard boss. After okumura every boss left is easy, at least in my experience I haven't died a single time after that.
Actually played it in hard mode and it was quite easy. I already knew all weakness of the minions so i could defeat them right away. I was lv 48. I didn't knew that big bang challenge heal those affected by hunger, thought.
You had trouble on hard mode LOL. This game was easy on hard without a guide.
Meybe I am just overleveld but this Boss is a cakewalk on hard mode to me. Utilizing the power boost from button pass and Megido (which nothing is resistant too) its stupidly easy to kill the minions. I actually kill them so fast that Okumura does not even get the chance to give the sacrifice order. The big guy attacks with physical attacks so I just use a limelight (an Infiltration tool) on Joker and equip him with a Persona that reflects physical. The Bigbang Burger challange hits hard but everybody survives and that they are low on health is not to much of an Issue since the big guy just continues to kill himself by attaching Joker so I have time to heal and he dies before he gets the chance fore a second big bang burger challange. Also Morgana can actually knock the big guy down with his miracle punch which leads to another button pass to Yusuke which is useful. A lot of people seem to dislike this boss fight but I found it great. It plays great, makes me use of most gameplay mechanics (attacking weaknesses, button pass, Joker being able to reflect physical, Taes medicine, Morganas Infiltration tools, Morganas critical hits, strong physical attacks, debuffs) and is satisfying. Roosting the minions with button passes and boss fight music fells so good, and reflecting an attack is always fun.
Me: Ugh this palace was lame, the only way they could make it worse is if the boss is a dumb enemy rush with a time limit
Boss: *is a dumb enemy rush with a time limit*
Me: fuck
18:03 Is the best part.
Haru *was still in the animation for getting up after being revived* and immediately gets knocked back down. xD
Oh it happened twice. My bad. xD
Voidwing I laughed so hard at that one
20:07 happens again lol
I AM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
I get knocked down! But I get up again! Like you can ever get me down! I GET KNOCKED DOWN!!!
apparently you can just smack hunger out of people
I almost stopped playing the game with this palace and boss, unfair and backtracking bullshit. Everyone before him is piss easy.
That would be a good way to lose weight ;)
actually this boss is preatty easy if you keep morgana healing everyone
like any other jrpg, you know

I am sure most of you guys know but, for first timers, I want to point out that there are two secrets in the bossfight against the executive director:
1) He always targets Haru with its physical attacks if she is alive on the battlefield. So, put Haru on the team and have her perma cast the physical reflect skill on herself, this makes the fight way easier.
2) The big bang challenge attack HEALS anybody that is affected with hunger, so don't remove the status with items or skills! Of course, harisen recovery isn't predictable, you have to consider that...
why didn't I think of that?, of course a food related attack would heal you if you have Hunger status, and yeah I noticed that he kept beating the crap out of Haru :)
Well, I switched out Makoto and Haru in the last minute to Ryuji and Morgana and yet, the Executive Director always aimed towards Morgana for a weird reason xD
So. I should have characters without Harisen recovery. And Haru.
Got it. New team for the big black one. Queen, Fox, and Noir
Really wish I had known this because this one part took me two days to beat! Agggghhhh I never want to even see a Big Bang Burger ever again in this game...
Tbh I think I'm low levelled for the boss fight, I'm level 40, so I'm not sure if I even have a chance, I just did the boss fight then, and I was facing the bot in the suit but I ended up dying, and I was close to beating him too lol, i suck ;-;
"NOIRS BEEN DEFEATED, CAN SOMEONE HEAL HER"
Noah Hartman 90% of the time she literally was just revived, it's kinda funny
KittenPower Having Noir cast tetrakaja, or whatever the physical reflect technique is called on herself makes the boss hit itself for around 200 damage
Noah Hartman she keeps dying it makes me go insane
Tetrakarn.
Give me some tetracorn
Just watching this, I was internally screaming: "STOP KILLING HER DAMN IT!"
Joker: 326 hp
Panther: 286 hp
Skull: 357 hp
Noir: 50 hp
Executive: "Hmm. Let's target Noir!"
Actually good video game logic
@@nerdboy4555 It's how the Executive is programmed, he's supposed to only target Noir if she's alive.
Just returning to a time when this boss wasn't rage quitting levels of annoying as it is in P5R
Out of curiosity, hoe is it different now in comparison to p5?
@@sithikamedagedara3796 It's a DPS check now mainly, the early phases can be one or two shot, but you have to use the single use magatamas etc to chain baton passes on the later waves to kill them all within two turns or else they run away and the wave starts over indefinitely until you can clear it, it's a giant incredible load of bullshit and feels incredibly out of place with it's difficulty.
The boss Is Better in royale than here
At least you have to prepare for an hard challenge in a super Easy game ...
Also considering Okumura palace Is based on "workers Who gotta rush because of the deadlines and stuff" it actually fits
Haru: Ugh...I'm starving...but that's good! I won't be hurt by Big Bang Chal-
Ryuji: SNAP OUT OF IT!
*whap!*
Haru: ...This is gonna suck.
Did anyone else notice that he got REALLY fucking lucky at 23:03? If Joker didn't dodge at that one moment, he would've gotten a game over.
doglicker Dio!!!!!!!
Right?
This boss was insanely amplified in royal and is now the hardest in the game
I think Maruti was significantly harder tbh
I keep dying at the green robots constantly 😂
@PinkChaos I agree. I was finally able to finish it yesterday after a couple of hours after I decided to go back to the previous day to grind. Baton pass wasn't working properly for me so my attacks were constantly bad. I nearly got mad the moment haru self destructed on my first time getting there forcing me to do the fight again 😒😂. Well it's in the past now, just doing the casino now 😌
Lol I commented on the original okumera well he was hard when I played this ages ago tbf but even harder on royal
@ころね先輩 too long, puzzles were boring, music was bad and boss was insanely hard/tedious
One random thing that isn't apparent in this video: The Big Bang Challenge attack actually heals characters inflicted with famine while removing the ailment at the same time.
Makes sense, doesn't it? I mean, what hits the spot better than a mighty fast food combo?
Does it? I thought that was a glitch...
Nintendotron64 the only mistake is in some medicine that say it cure hungry but it doesn't.
The boss fight is mainly a time waster litterally speaking
...Maybe...vegtables?
So what your saying, is to not heal when I have hunger then?
Man, Haru just couldn't catch a break in that fight.
It’s programmed to target her
All of you playing Royal, I wish you all the luck in the world when you make it to Shadow Okumura. Easily one of the most difficult bosses I’ve ever faced in an RPG before. They took this fight and cranked the difficulty up to 1,000.
This boss was so fucking frustrating on Royal lmao. I had to look at this video to make sure it wasn't this fucking hard in the original game.
Also, tfw the penultimate enemies are fucking harder to deal with than the "boss" droid.
I am at Futaba's Palace right now (haven't played the game in over a month) and the reason I have stopped is mainly because dreading Okumura's Palace and boss fight in Royal. I did buy all the non-cosmetic DLC though. Would getting one of those special higher leveled Personas (the ones you can get from the Compendium for free first time) help? For instance, if I were to get Izanagi-no-Okami for this fight and give it some good enough skill cards I would have access to at that point in the game, would it make that awful fight any more tolerable? I know it is kinda cheap but I think it could be worth it for how terrible Okumura is in Royal.
Ironically, putting it on highest difficulty is easier
23:05 You have no idea how lucky you got. This was game over.
Indeed
the gameplay was so poor, i can't believe this was the guy who beat many of the souls-like games, but when it comes to jrpg, this was painful to watch.
Ange dark souls games are way more straight forward
i literally just rage quit because i got killed by this shit twice
21:52 DEFEND NOW!!!!

Sacrifice Work Order:
Notice: Because you will be only working until today, please explode to complete your tasks.
the giant robot boss is the very definition of *SMT Bullshit*, it wouldn't be an SMT/Persona game without it.
on higher difficulties, even if you buff defense and Guarded everyone, the Big Bang Challenge attack WILL KILL YOU. and being inflicted with a status ailment(Hunger in this case) is the ONLY WAY to survive the attack since being in Hunger will absorb it. (or maybe a little luck)
Not it won't I am playing on hard and it only killed me when I was unbuffed and not guarded which was only my first time. Besides, if Okumura hungers you it actually heals you.
julius2199 You see, this is the kind of boss beating tip I was looking for.
I found that out the hard way when I fought him on merciless.
Baal the Overlord you could also debilitate the robot while guarding and buffing defense.
Cough cough endure cough Enduring soul.
"joker, your defense is decreased!"
*defense reverted!*
This fight was actually very hard.
I am playing on hard mode and i just recently completed this fight.
It was probably the most frustrating fight I've done so far.
It starts getting rough when he brings out the stronger robots (specifically the lanky blue one and big green one)
Because you cannot one shot them. And then the giant robot is just a pain in the ass.
For me this fight was pure rng, that is why it took me like 10 tries.
Futaba never fucking helps me.
KillBash he killed all my party members in the end I soloed(does this world even exist?) boss with 2 seconds remaining
I've beat him on game plus and it was very hard(twins are even harder)
KillBash
I actually had problems to at first but by now I can solo this guy. In fact it can be even easier on merciless because of criticals dealing 3 times the damage. You simply need to get through the waves with the Elements. I have a persona with ice, curse, Wind, fire and nuclear that Hits everything and that can deal singlehandedly with all of them. Or use baton pass to tag in to your allies when need to conserve sp. Baton pass is really fucking helpful in this fight.
For the big one make sure you have Morgana. His miracle punch is insanely useful for this stage of the fight. If you can Guns could crit him as well or use down shot. When he is down rush him with everything you have and if yu are quick enough it can even cancel his big bang attack. Otherwise you can wait to be hungry from okumura since it will than heal you.
I constantly solo him now with my arsene with blazing hell, brave blade, ice age, vacuum waves, comic flared, maeigaon and drain physical. Its a great feeling :)
Merciless is better for 3x damage and the lack of xp. But it's harder. Especially, when they do their special attack. You can have full health and guard the attack and still die. Just got to finish the fight and hope that no one misses.
Gotta get that social link up for Futaba.
5:20 That timing on the music though!!!

Fucking infuriating boss makes me wanna ragequit the entire game
It did make me ragequit for months. The whole palace from the stupid fucking airlock puzzle to this was obnoxious
I almost ragequit the game because of this fight. The only thing that kept me from ragequit and actually beating this fucker was a DLC persona with an attack that deals heavy curse damage to all persona.
Yeah i did beat it but imo it was a pretty poorly designed boss i would’ve preferred the old version which i think was the esiest boss of the entire game, you can make this a little easier by turning the difficulty UP which already says something
Skull just has the worst timing sometimes lmao. You got lucky in this video. We were literally almost done with the battle, and the final guy was about to use his big bang burger move. We heal with Joker instead of guarding because he was inflicted with hunger so it would heal him. Then of course, right after Joker's turn, skull smacks the hunger out of Joker and he dies...
MandaPanda:m
This keeps happening
The best way to make someone not hungry or angry or depressed is to slap them lol
My god everytime Noir got picked up that robot would just shit on her face all over again...
1. Max out politician social link
Do the maximum amount of mementos requests to at that time to acquire the skill card charge
3. Get a Grimheika through negotiation
4. Boss fight spam Morganas miracle/lucky punch
5. Charge up Main character
6. Use Ann to Rakunda the boss
7. When you get a crit baton pass to mc and use light strike that your Grimheika has
Easy win just dealt 1.2k
every second turn
Travis or you can just spam charge hassou tobi from yoshistsune
Ann doesn't learn Rakunda, but Tarunda. Still, you should use Tarunda with the executive since it'll kill easily hary otherwise and the big bang burger attack would not be as efective.
Ufff is so easy comparade whit the persona 5 royal
He was still the hardest boss in persona 5 lmao
Wish he say "I am your FATHER!" because I'm having this Star Wars feeeling.
The worst boss fight in the game. The least enjoyable fight at the end of the worst palace after the worst piece of story arc in the game... and a few years later they, with feedback and new experience, MADE IT EVEN FUCKING WORSE! I miss this one. I ACTUALLY MISS THE CAKEWALK ROBOTS. Cheat. Get the DLC personas, get the highest level ones you can, and cheese the boss. No one will judge you for it.
Noir: The human shield
Depending on the boss I like to make Joker into my human shield.
@@themadpolygon3538 Yeah if he dies. But with his adaptable elemental afffinitys and Morgana, Ann and/ore Makotto around fore healing, attack debuffing and defence buffing he is the hardest to kill. Against the last guy in the Okumura boss fight I use limelight to force all single target attacks on Joker, then I equip him with a Persona that reflects physical and then I watch that guy kill himself. His Big Bang attack is still dangerous but its helpful. Against Akechi round 1 with the physical minions, and Akechi with his light and darkness attacks it also comes in handy to force the enemies to target Joker. And against the twins limelight is nothing short of a godsend. The twins almost only target weakspots with single target attacks but with limelight they can only target Joker who is not weak to anything. Therefore they wont get extra turns (unless they land crits) which keeps damage low fore the entire party. The other characters dont die, Joker dont have to pause his assult fore healing and reviving, the damage flow stays stable and the twins wont summon Ardha and all out attack my party in to oblivion.
So making Joker the shield is actully saver fore himself aswell.
These Infiltration tools are so dam awsome. Morgana really earned his keep with those.
Btw I have only played the original and not the Royal.
haru have you tried not dying
Kunikazu Okumura's happiness was taken away from him in his youth so he felt he had the right to take away others' happiness as compensation. While this doesn't excuse his crimes, he wasn't as vile as most of his fellow conspirators, who used him as a tool against the Phantom Thieves.
Roger Leung Also, I can understand not wanting to repeat the same mistakes as your father. He really is the Darth Vader of Persona.
19:31 How does ryuji slap hunger away? If it was that easy why not send paper fans to all countries with food shortages?
Metaverse magic. If people believe slapping someone with a fan will cure hunger, it will work in the metaverse
The fact you lived through 23:07 is by far the luckiest thing I've seen in this game
20:11

Boss looks more difficult to deal with in Royal
Oh it is. They run away if you dont kill all of them in TWO TURNS it's so BS
Exactly, the conditions in that palace are stupid. It can be a pain if you’re not prepared. Haru got Psi and Mapsio i believe, those abilities should help you a bit.
@@slightlyloyal1442 the thing is I'm using Haru. I cant get past the blue robots, the ones weak to wind. I'm using Garula and Garu on Morgana and protag, I still cannot beat them. They dont take enough damage
Hifumi Best Girl Yeah those are painful. It’s basically weakness management this boss.Try using some wind items and baton pass when you can. Switch party members liberally and use variations of attack to get a higher chance of “technical” if that doesn’t work out, than you need to balance your persona, buy weakness and technical items more and try again.
@@slightlyloyal1442 I have been using baton pass. Morgana is using magarula 3 times in a row and they dont die. I'm using a pretty high magic stat persona and they just don't die.
The palace itself might have been a bit tedious and bland, and Okumura definitely needed a change of heart, but his death was actually really sad. And for whatever reason, i felt bad knowing that the treasure was a space kit that he never was able to get as a kid because of his parents.
Ah the good old days before he was easier to beat on merciless in Royal

This boss seemed really easy in my opinion. For the final wave I just had Joker decrease defense > Makoto increase ATT with an item > Ann Fire break > Haru AoE psych > Baton pass to Ann and use Aoe Fire and that took them all to 25% HP and I was able to kill them all within the second turn.
After that it was just technical hits and it was a breeze.
I just think people came to the Royal Okumura fight unprepared. I expected something to be different to make the fighter harder than the last since the Madarame and Kaneshiro fights were changed as well.
@@VasmX this was a flex
"Come workers!" "Come to work!" "Heres your quota!" "Show your dedication!" This fucking boss was hard the first run!
Imma be real here, S.Okumura is by far the STUPIDEST looking boss (design wise) in the entire game! I can honestly take Kamoshida more seriously than Okumura and I guarantee I'd feel the same even if I had absolutely no context of they're actual characters!
I think a "defeat the boss in x turns" gimmick would've been a little more fair, but forcing the player to battle efficiently under pressure is still a pretty cool idea.
Just try the Royal fight. You have to do both.
Why on earth are people saying "But no one came" is an Undertale reference? That's an incredibly common phrase, Undertale didn't come up with it- and besides, I'm fairly sure P5 came out first.
Actually, Undertale did release exactly a year before p5, although P5 was definitely deep in development by then. Your definitely right about it not being an undertale reference and it being a common phrase tho, as it has even been in megaten games before such as smt 1.

Favorite palace with boss fight and shadow. I want to know what type of voice filter did they use for Shadow Okumura? It's noticeably different from the rest of the palace rulers.
