Along with that when noodle came out of Russel's mouth was because when 2D and Murdoc found Noodle she appeared inside of his moth. The reason why he was so big was because he jumped off a dock and basically ate trash and toxic waste and became big. But the mask was what noodle wore after the crash of El Manana trying to keep hidden from the Black Cloud/pirates. The Cyborg inside the ship was a substitute for Noodles' disappearance and Ringo is not a person, it was a name of a battleship of a studio that was going after Murdoc after he tried to escape Plastic Beach. Also the ship was owned by the guy from Doncamatic. I also believe that the symbolism is them letting go of their past life. Thank you. The Plastic beach era was a time in the gorillaz lore that almost mentally broke and traumatized the characters. The plastic beach being destroyed is supposed to be bittersweet because they can finally move on

Like a couple others have said, you need to watch these videos chronologically. The real Noodle had gone missing for some time so Murdoc created a cyborg Noodle to replace her. He had grown fond of his creation and was heartbroken about her passing. The series of videos for Plastic Beach had an ecological message. The island in the middle of nowhere was nothing more or less than discarded plastic, landfill and all manner of flotsam that had piled up. I'm not sure if Leee John portrayed King Neptune or the Kraken but my best guess is the latter as he's in chains. Then again, with the crown he could very well be Neptune. Regardless, the plastic beach and island was an abomination that Nature could just no longer abide, hence the lazer eyes. Cyborg Noodle was also an abomination. Bear in mind Murdoc is into Satan which is why he was quite taken with the island and fond of Cyborg Noodle. When the real Noodle sees her cyborg double, she is very visibly appalled.
So plastic beach in general is a statement about pollution, but what happened on plastic beach was traumatic for all the band members and this music video represents facing their fears and failures once more and putting that chapter of their lives and story behind them. 2D is afraid of whales, in the start he vomits up a whale that was much bigger than him before. Murdoc has the mask of his nemesis the Boogeyman on whom he once made a crooked deal with. The band sees Robot Noodle once more who died on plastic beach.
