      I suspect it would likely be difficult to maintain a list of the numbers because the scammers cycle through them and the numbers are then reissued to someone else.

    Thanks! I hate the negativity that the scammers have made in regards to India. I am from the US but my parents were from India. I just hope that people realise that people in India hate these scammers are much as everyone else. This is done by a tiny fraction of people there and this is no way a reflection of the county as a whole.

      @relo999 Рік тому +1

      @@IanSchrauth I'm just thinking, wouldn't it be possible with the help of, say, anydesk or skype to essentially DDOS them by sending empty or pre-recorded fake calls? I know the days of phonephreaking is over but if you could generate phone numbers you could call from you could automate it by making a program that automatically calls a given number. And anydesk or Skype could do that without resorting to more questionable methods. It'd make their ROI really poor to the point of possibly not being viable.

    • @AndrwR

      I think a great way to get start with this would be to build an app. Looking at the comments there are a lot of people that want to get involved but need the phone numbers. I think if we were to build an app that "trusted users" (To ensure scammers don't mess with the data) can upload phone numbers to as they find them. Then these numbers can function like the police feature on Waze. Show number is active with a green thumbs up then people can thumb down it when the number if it is no longer functioning due to the scammers getting a new number.

His clever vids are not full of profanity/hostility, but rather show his determination using (fairly) simple schemes to protect the vulnerable among us. It is sobering to hear of the plight/emotional conflict of some of the scammers. Ben, however, offers the “cooperative” scammers with a path of REDEMPTION. It it gratifying to see (at least a few) choose to follow a new, honest direction in life. Support Pleasant Green. And keep posting the awesome vids, Ben!

      Saying that 'scammers' is the first thing that pops into people's mind when talking about India is like saying "Mass sh00ters and serial k!llers are the first thing that comes to mind when talking about America". This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard someone say lol. India has so much good stuff: the food, the art, cinema & music, the hospitality, the history, the culture, the colors, the mountains, the nature, the architecture, the diversity, the festivals, or even the CEOs and other influential people in various sectors around the globe. So much good stuff yet some people watching these videos can't help but generalise an entire country as "scammers"...

      @larsonanne Рік тому +2

      @@samosajalebi I understand the point you're trying to make. But far more Americans are affected by the small number of scammers than are affected by mass murderers (and don't believe most of what the media spews out, it's created, not real). Say a mass murderer kills 10 people. But one scammer calls thousands of potential victims,with some just getting an annoying call and proving theirs is a working number to be sold, some stay on the call a while and get confused and worry how their life may have been disrupted besides also confirming theirs is a working number, and others who believe what they're being told and are stolen from. So again, millions of people at a minimum every day get at least one scam call and/or pop-up (including to landlines), and let's not forget the number of scam emails and other social media scams. The criticism scammers bring to India they come by honestly (meaning, for legitimate reasons).

    As someone who works for a bank as a lost, stolen and disputes specialist, my background is Indian, but I grew up in Australia so I don't have an accent. I do have some colleagues who get people calling them scammers and stuff because of their accent. Its truly becoming a major issue, this video makes me sooooo happy. I'm always disputing transactions made by scammers and any time you take from them helps me and the people that work around me.

    Another awesome video PG, but on a side note. Either that first call center you were trying to hire pays it's workers extremely well or they were scamming you because as far as I know minimum wage in India is like 2-3 dollars per day! You could have easily hired the 5 workers for around 600 dollars per month total ijs. Lol good job tho PG!

    About a decade ago, companies who had outsourced to India to save money (while sacking local staff to do so), started to re source back to local ... this left a lot of unemployed and empty call centres in India and that is why we have the influx of call centre scammers coming from India.

    Please DO NOT USE YOUR OWN PHONE NUMBER OR COMPUTER when calling into scam call centres some call software can record the number and go on to sell it as an active in use number so they will add you to other scam listings. use a proxy number or a digital number, IF a scammer does get into your own PC they can destroy it internally.

    I would honestly love to work for you, Ben! The more people we can save from losing money unfairly, the better off people will be! Thank you for helping these innocent people be more knowledgeable and educated about this! To those who *know* that you're scamming people and are continuing to do so, shame on you! There are better ways to make money than to affect people like that. Thank you to those in India who are helping this cause! That makes me proud. It's unfair to you that there is a stereotype about call centers with people who have Indian accents. I know not all of you are like those horrible scammers and I appreciate you! To the call centers who are basically holding these workers who are trying to leave this business hostage and forcing them not to tell anyone or leave or their lives are in danger, double shame on you for doing this to them! They don't deserve that!

    A famous AI once said
    There once was an Indian scammer, bold and brash,
    He spent his days scheming for cash.
    He'd call up folks and spin a tale,
    Of riches and wealth that would never fail.
    But one day his luck finally ran out,
    As the cops came knocking, there was no doubt.
    They caught him red-handed with his phone,
    And all his gadgets, he was all alone.
    He tried to weasel his way out,
    With tales of woe and tales of doubt.
    But the cops were wise to his little game,
    And they didn't fall for his scammer fame.
    So off to jail he went with a sigh,
    No longer free to tell his lies.
    He learned his lesson, oh so true,
    That crime doesn't pay, it catches up to you.
    And so we all can rest assured,
    That justice was served and the scammer's cured.
    No more victims will he deceive,
    For now he knows he cannot achieve.

    This is your coolest video yet! So what we really need is a way to get other "numbers" to be used when calling, so we aren't giving up our real numbers, so maybe get a Google voice/Skype number or some other VOIP connection so we don't reveal ourselves...but yeah. 1 million people (subs) calling them all day long, even if we just spent 15 minutes doing it...would cost them a truckload/boatload/planetload of cash for calls that won't pay. Muhahahaha!!! Oh yeah, I work with many people from India (some live there, some now here in the US )...not in scamming...and they are some of the smartest, funniest, people on the planet! So let's convince the scammers that getting a real job, they could make a difference for them AND their country! Scamming isn't profitable anymore. Pleasant Green sent his mob after us. Hahaha. SUCCESS!

      Yes, this should only be done if you have a virtual machine. If you don’t know what a virtual machine is then you don’t have one & should only make phone calls. Scammers will also try to connect to your cell phone - never allow that to happen.
